@@ireakhavok for sure are you under the same name? also I really want to get into this hobby too! hence I came across your video. Have you talked about/ have a video on Drop keyboards? would like to know your comments on it.
@@sattetile13 Yes, you can, but I would suggest having multiple thicknesses of foam (preferably thinner than what I suggested for packing foam), because EVA foam is less forgiving and could cause damage as you try and screw it down. I would try to use the least thickness of EVA foam that get's the job done. you don't want too much pressure on those plastic standoffs, as the screws can easily strip them out.
@@sattetile13 One thing to keep in mind, is that if you are having issues with closing the case due to ridges, you can actually cut the foam into pieces and lay them in between the ridges. It will still help immensly, and sometimes more, because the PCB and components generally do stick a little further down. I even use silicone in one of my videos. The magic force video, which is much harder than the foam we are talking about, but I ended up cutting it into strips and fitting them into the ridges of the board. Please let me know if there is anything else you need!
Wow hey Joel! I didn't know you were into keyboards like that.

how thick is the packaging foam which u used in ur rk68 mod video?
around just under 2mm thick, but I suggest getting a little thicker foam, 2.31mm thick. 2/32" thick.
@@ireakhavok can i use eva foam instead of packaging foam??
