- Race it. Break it. Fix it. Repeat.
Changing the clutch on these mk2 TTTs is a bit different to the MK1! I've gone from filming full on detailed how to guides, to filming me struggling to do simple tasks! Hopefully it goes a lot smoother next time.

Love the Jumper edit... smooth, Looking very slim mate!
Cheers mate! Leanne enjoyed launching my clothes at me 😂
Omg dude you are amazing.
All the videos I watch of guys with audi in the US.
Working on them in driveways or small garage. Hats off to you!!!!! Thanks for the great videos
Thanks!
Glad you are enjoying you TTS, the first upgrade i did with mine was to change the down pipe and fitted a sports cat with the standard exhaust... loads of pops and bangs in a good way.
I did buy one virtually straight after getting the car, just needs minor repair before I can fit it
I know there's a lot of debate on SMF vs DMF. My mechanic just short of insisted on a SMF for my MK1. I was nervous but took his advice and could not be happier. There's a subtle flywheel noise but it's incredibly smooth. It's not grabby but not at all vague like a SMF. The sound is mechanical and I've learned to enjoy it.
My mechanic said most of the SMF negative experience comes from poor installation. He said the flywheel needs to be machined and aligned perfectly to the clutch.
A great mechanic is priceless when it comes to owning a 20 year old car.
I am IN LOVE with all of these artistic camera angles. 😅🥰😁
Thanks for the mention! The deals are on again from December 26th, hit me up if anyone needs a set of wheels!! Regards Simon
Merry Christmas to you Brin!! Well done!
When the spoiler snitching how fast you going 😅😂
Indisputably fantastic!
Nice work 👌
When I swapped motors in my 02 225... I put in a single mass and the same throw out... been fantastic for the last 4 yrs... welcome to the club
Let’s hope mine lasts 4 years!
Excellent video sounds like its picking up faster 😉👍🏻
Thanks, yeah I should have filmed before and after, but it does feel a little revvier
Great vid as usual Bryn hope your health hasn’t suffered because of your change in direction ou definitely are looking slimmer so it’s double helpings of turkey and a few more 🍺🍺
My health is the best it has been my entire adult life, I’ve finally taken it seriously!
man, you look slimmer 😲
You know, the more I see everyone’s mk1 TT 225hp’s it makes me wonder about my TT.
My car is a total unknown to me.
It seems stupid fast driving it.
🇦🇺🤜🏼🤛🏼😎🍀
Nice job and a nice fix my man. Btw is the mrs starving you😮
The Mrs is not!!! That’s all on Bryn!!!
Feck I’ve had my Mk1 TT off the road for two months.
Clutch went to floor in peak hour four lane traffic.
Looks like the factory clutch bleeding block cracked.
I’ve researched it, and here’s hoping its not a failed slave cylinder that’s locked up and increased pressure to the point the plastic bleeder block cracked.
🇦🇺🤜🏼🤛🏼😎🍀
It very unlikely to be the slave at fault, I’ve seen those plastic blocks crack a few times just through age, hope you can get it back on the road soon!
It makes me sick how easy you make that job look. And you had issues but still looks like anyone could do it! Especially on your drive.
You need to research how to do it on the CIvic, its fine, but when the inevitable day comes, we will need you :D
Sorry I meant you guys in the Uk
You now how, much nm/ft it holds? In the future in need one for me 1.8 20v BAM engine I will maybe do e full engine rebuild and so I want to be future proof. I had some tuned 1.9 tdi with the sachs race engeeering clutch but in Belgium you stand e lot still in traffic and I don’t liked the harder pedal feels. So I want someting that really feels like oem, what can you recommend?
A nice setup on the bam is the sachs 4 puck plate in a standard cover plate and flywheel, feels very close to oem and good for 500bhp
I do miss the ability to accelerate, and my Mk1 was the longest I ever owned a car, is the Mk2 really a better prospect as a daily or are they at the age now where you're always going to have to be chasing those perfect running days...
There are plenty of nice mileage young mk2s out there, with more options on engines and setups, worth exploring for sure. Some are still only 8 years old at this point, vs the youngest mk1 being 18
I have both, 225 with 300bhp and the TTS .. there is no substitute for cc.
@@TheNorville2I believe the saying is 'there's no replacement, for displacement'..
I'm in the US with a 2002 TT Quattro convertible. What is the "mag ride" button? On the dash next to the red emergency flasher button? If not where. Thanx.
You won’t have that on the mk1
Thanks. Do you have a list of your POV videos concerning the N75 waste gate valve? Why do the prices fluctuate so wildly from low end affordable to just ridiculous. Also, it's relationship to the "hockey puck". Thanks for the super quick response on my first question. @@BWSTT

Nice engine crane 🤣
Came in well handy 😂
Your spoiler is grassing on you regarding your legal fun speed!
I'm sure Bryn has the technical knowledge to have reprogrammed that so it pops up at, 55mph sound like a nice round, legal number...
@@Trig0r absolutely agree perhaps it even pops up at 40 or 50 👍😀
I manually raised it at 45 👀
Keep mine up all the time.
