Wow these kids were so much better at having conversation than most of the adults they have on Jubilee 🤯
I feel like this actually makes a lot of sense. Adults have had longer durations of their believes being reinforced through out life. Meanwhile these teens look like theyre only starting to recognize and understand the world we live in.
For real, that’s what I was going to say as well 😮
Not as much time in the brainwashing machine.
I noticed the kids in a lot of these videos seem to be a lot more respectful and willing to listen to the other side, whereas the adults can be pretty dogmatic and close minded sometimes.
Adults are busy. Adults are stressed. Adults are tired.
Being a kid and figuring out your politics is actually kind of fun. It's interesting. And it's part of finding your identity.
When you're an adult, at the end of the day you just want to relax and have a beer and not challenge your core ideals.
And after life has kicked you around a few years, you really do lose a lot of patience for other people.

I was very impressed by Jack. He was level headed, thoughtful, insightful and seems to have a promising future ahead of him. Brilliant job!
Eh, despite his seemingly calm intellect he carries, most of his views are fundamentally wrong. Such as his position on moderates being the answer, he doesn’t understand that centrism is essentially conservatism, because centrism without being progressive you will always be a conservative. Other views such as the party system lie with Chandler’s argument
I disagree. I am a moderate democrat and I dislike turmoil in the government, but it is very necessary to make progress. Nevertheless, I believe that moderates are the answer because human nature is never to complete agree on every topic. That is inevitable; but ideas and common beliefs will cater to people from different groups that can agree and therefore push things forward. Unity is very important, after all, we are all human being and most of us aren’t fundamentally evil. Therefore, your comment shows immaturity and a lack of understanding.
Edit* beings
@@aradine00Centrism typically leads to a continuance of the status quo. You don’t necessarily have to be a Democrat to be a progressive, but moderates tend to believe in slow change as to not offend anyone’s sensibilities and that’s unacceptable.
I was very impressed by Chandler, although I myself am an independent; Conservative leaning
We need ranked-choice voting ASAP. Need to be more about their policies, not the party.
That’s on the ballot in my state ( Nevada) this cycle. Hopefully it passes!
Can you explain what this means? (I'm British)
@@Random-sk6hm ranked choice is basically when you specify a first choice, second choice, third choice, etc. for each position when voting.
More specifically, all the first choice votes get counted, and if nobody has 50% of the vote they eliminate the person with the least votes and for anybody that had that person as their first choice the second choice will be counted and added to the totals. They repeat this process until one of the candidates has at least 50% of the votes.
Exactly because once they get in office they work for the corporations
it doesn't fit our current society. one of the questions in this video talked about how this is a misinformed generation. ranked-choice voting is contingent on the fact that our society is informed about candidates and their policies. many citizens today follow parties or who they see on TV most rather than researching more about them. so, given the current state of our union, the US is in no shape to adopt this system. while initially, yes, it does seem appealing, it wouldn't fit the uninformed demographic that is present in the US today.

@@xander_k_ They're actually dumber, as evident from the decline in IQ since 75'.
Every generation since the dawn of time exhibits the same behavioural tendencies, none however, as arrogantly as our current "youth" generation, generation Z. Young people have always come into the stage, thinking that their ideas are new and that they have the solution to whatever issue they have been mindfucked to care about. non billionaires wanting tax cuts for billionaires will always shock me lmao i don't think people understand just how much a billion is
Look up your tax bracket in each state, in New York you need to make over 150k and you’re considered rich and will get taxed in the same bracket. 40% of 150k is absolutely unfair than someone that makes a million and up. Being rich doesn’t mean 500k and up its someone that fits into their states 1% that’s why I understand tax cuts
@@JamilaJinx incorrect, tax brackets only tax the money above the value you make
@@floff7922 also 150k in new york is not “rich”, it is considered middle class.
@Some you’re missing the point
@Some everyone knows they don’t actually have billions in a bank account somewhere, but they still have more money than 10 people could spend in a life time. They could buy new bmw’s every day and never go broke because the interest on everything they have alone could pay for it. Billionaires are so far above everything their families will never have to work for generations. All because they cheated the system or were born into it. It’s virtually impossible to actually pull yourself up by the boot straps, thats why it’s called that.
Bro really said he isn’t as dark as her??? Yall are literally the same shade 🤣🤣
I always found myself looking forward to hearing Parker, Jack and Chandler say their views. They felt the most articulate and passionate about what they were saying yet they could easily back down and let each other speak and even later on, agree with them. Everyone in this video is amazingly respectful and knowledgeable and I love to see them speak together.
Chandler was not listening to understand, he was listening to respond and his arguments didn’t make a lot of sense if you actually listen.
Chandler sounded like the most brainwashed of all of them. And as the commenter below said, he was not listening to understand. It all went in one ear and out the other since he already had his response ready.

Just because he has a wide vocabulary and speaks slowly like a politician doesn't mean he's intelligent. In fact, most of the smaller factually substantive statements he does make were wrong or misguided. I suspect most people think he's well educated and knowledgeable primarily because of superficial reasons, such as for the manner of how he presented his information and that he's a "moderate," but if I'm wrong and there's another reason please do elaborate.

The true takeaway is that this generation is more informed than they give themselves credit for. Ugh it’s so painful when Chandler thinks only countries the size of South Carolina have universal healthcare. They practically all do lol
yes, I definitely feel like population size is a bit of an excuse not to consider healthcare. In a country the size of America I think it's probably better that you don't try to force people to fend for themselves, because with a larger population that's already going to be the case more so than in smaller countries.

I lost it at the billionaires comment. They can't solve the problem, they ARE the problem.
How?
Sorry, they aren't! XD Thinking the government or the woke mob are the solution is actually a pro establishment solution in reality (And the real problem).
And so if they were to invest their money in valuable resources and services in an attempt to end suffering they would eliminate the problem. They are the problem, so should they give their money away (or use it on positives) they would fix the problem. So the point remains.

These teenagers are incredibly educated, speak eloquently and respectfully, and have passion behind their beliefs. I loved every second of this.
"Random things like universal health care"? That's not random, it's practical to not only reign in the prices but cover everyone, cheaper too.
Me, a Brit with the world-class NHS: Finally someone understands
The US government subsidizes farming for ingredients that go into the foods that largely contribute to lifestyle related issues like type 2 diabetes and heart disease. I would have less of an issue with universal healthcare if the government would also take steps to divert spending towards increasing the availability of healthy foods to all and providing easier access to different ways to be active.
Edited for clarity
@@samanthab5006 diabetes doesn't always come from diet, sometimes it is just your body having an inability to make insulin. Hence type 1 & type 2.
