This why I love social media. I'm able to listen to a conversation on a topic that I'm interested in. It's as if I'm sitting in the same room engaged in a conversation.

We (Bangladeshi) students are currently peacefully protesting against quota, but Student League an organization of the government ambushed us. Nearly two hundred people were injured and many were killed in the attack. At this time we need you very much because the journalists of our country are on the side of the government. They have no news on this issue. They have not promoting about on this issue. Seeking freedom has now become a crime for us.

I had a brain haemorrhage, eight years ago, and the dreams I had after I woke out of my coma, were surreal and reoccuring. The concepts of the dreams were like: a pile of people dead on top of me and I couldn't move or feel my body; me calling out for help and no one can hear me; me talking to someone I knew and and having them reply with, "I'm not Wendy, I'm a nurse at St George Hospital", etc. Turned out I had the haemorrhage, became paralysed(couldn't move or feel my body), calling out for help(in my coma, and no one could hear me- I was just reliving it), trying to speak to "Wendy's" better nature(turned out to be a nurse by my ear telling me she's not Wendy, she's a nurse)....
Anyway, after I came to, the hospital provided a neuro-psychologist, and she said, "your brain knows your body is in danger(I had emergency brain surgery, and was swollen) and is trying to put two and two together to help you understand, but it doesn't have two and two, it has two, four, yellow, square, and fire, and it's creating stories to let you know you can't move, you can't be communicated with, and you're surrounded by strangers" it was wild.
And what's weirder; two years before I had the haemorrhage, I dreamt it. I recognised the ICU scene by sound, alone, in my coma.
I definitely want to be part of a dream study.

Throughout my whole life, I dream of circumstances, conversations and even major life events. I'm glad it's getting the recognition it deserves rather than being swept under the rug.

I was told by an avid follower of Carl Jung that when waking from a dream, first notice the feeling the dream expressed and then ask yourself if that’s a feeling your aren’t allowing yourself to experience in your conscious life. The purpose of our dreams is to keep us mentally balanced. Basically to keep us sane.

Another way to use your dreams is to ask a question just before going to sleep and your subconscious will work on it while you are sleeping. This has worked for me several times. Once I forgot where I hid some jewelry. It took a few nights but on a Sunday morning I woke up and like a zombie walked to the place where I had hidden them. Or if you are indecisive about something ask for help consistently. You will be guided.

My dream tonight was about a man shooting everybody in a room and I was the next one dying... It was scary, i tried to escape, to run away, the man came after me... I am avoiding taking some steps in my life for fear, fear, lots of fear...

For me lucid dreaming doesn’t happen often, but when it does, it’s a peacefulness beyond the waking life. You travel to far away places and you know you’re dreaming and flying to all kinds of places. They’re very vivid, colorful, and yet when I wake up I was energized, motivated, and felt as like I was given a gift that was priceless. I’ve never forced a lucid dream and never knew what it was until lately hearing the term. For me they’re very rare but when I get them it’s a force to be acknowledged. As the day or week or month goes on bits and pieces comes to light in your inner soul that explains parts of it but not all of it. Leaves some mystery for your soul to wonder about.

whenever you close your eyes to dream, you view your life from a different life, like a alternate universe.
This is why all dreams are different, but always have the same people in your life - dealing with different situations. Honestly this is the only thing that makes sense to me.

I almost always lucid dream and the more i do it the easier it gets. You can quite literally lucid dream if you just set the intention before bed. I have met with my dad in my dreams to fly together. We both set the intention before bed and though our dreams were quite different, we both met with eachother and flew.

This is a great discussion. The Senoi dream culture is one to study. I solved complex math problems in my sleep when I could not accomplish the solution in wakefulness. I'm lousy at math. An image came to me in my dream-boardroom that made the solution clear. I saw a series of floating spreadsheets, one on top of another, that made sense. Meeting that challenge was a benchmark in my early career.

I have prophetic dreams about specific people dying... it's happened 4 times in my life that I've dreamt of someone dying & within a couple weeks - the person has (unexpectedly) died. This used to sort of freak me out but each time it's happened, I was able to help better prepare someone in the deceased person's life.
The first time it happened it was my mom's life-long best friend... I dreamt that I was summoned to her to pray for her & in the dream I put my hands over her stomach...I woke up & asked my mom if she'd spoken with her recently. She hadn't, so I told her about the dream & mom called her later that day. Turns out, her best friend had been fighting ovarian cancer & only had 2 more weeks to live. Had I not had the dream, my mom wouldn't have had the opportunity to be with her in those last couple weeks of her life....

My own experience with dreams is that they are occasionally prophetic and usually capture subtle layers of my waking life. Themes that repeat are usually me working out issues. The freedom from judgements and restrictions that my conscious self would impose on my dreams makes them healing and means i usually wake up rebalanced.
In modern life we don't think about it so much, but there are plenty of things we don't understand. What does consciousness arise out of? Whatever it is - whatever it is it seems like many creatures (other animals besides humans dream too) return each night to that generative pool. Glad we are starting to pay more attention to an activity that we

How many lucid dreamers are watching!? I've been a lucid dreamer my whole life, and can recall vivid dreams as early as 3 almost 4 years old. In my personal experience I've regularly dealt with sleep paralysis accompanied with my dreams and as a teenager I often carried fragments of my dreams into waking consciousness like a blur between realities. I still deal with sleep paralysis but I'm able to will myself free easier and faster by shifting my head until my body wakes up. My head feels significantly heavier than usual while I'm doing this but all it takes is a firm will! As they say mind over matter. Occasionally I go through what I call "Slip-Wakings". I'm entering the sleep state and the dreaming begins to take shape, my body can sense the paralytic state taking effect and so my waking mind flares back as I'm trying to wake myself up in panic. I belive my almost automatic panicked reaction is the result of years having lucid nightmares accompanied with paralysis. During one of these episodes I had last year, at the moment when body paralysis and clear consciousness collide, instead of indulging panic and the desperate desire to wake my body back up, I decided to feel the stillness and wholeness of my body. I had the clear desire to experience flight, as I've never flown in my dreams. After connecting to my body, I started to imagine my arms flapping, and no fucking joke, the very thought sent an electrifying sensation throughout my entire body as if it had been lit up. For those of you who understand the feeling of frisson when listening to music or poetry, it was similar to that but completely magnified on a whole other level, it was electrifying and I flew as a great heron over crystal clear waters that reflected the sky like the salt flats of Brazil after spring showers. It was magical, and unlike anything I've experienced in dreams as otherworldly and complex as they are. Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

I’m definitely a lucid dreamer and have been as long as I can remember. I have held on to a few aspect dreams that repeats in a similar form and feel. I also experience sleep paralysis yet it’s not as intense as it was when I was a child. I even have a weird sensation in my dreaming state of sinking into the bed when I drink red wine that is so frightening that I have to wake myself up constantly in fear of sinking to my death. Another interesting thing I experience when I dream is being able to use a fell safe when in danger of falling or drowning I just tell myself that I can breathe underwater in at a depth where there is still sunlight yet I’m not trying to reach the surface or the dark depths. It’s crazy how much of my dreams are recalled. I even intentionally recall word for word conversations details and sequences of events. My dreams slip into different dreams yet I can trace the dream as it changes so it’s like a long dream with different chapters.

@@angelageier1574this is correct, in some cases. Deja vu feelings can be a sign or symptom of a partial seizure. I get these, and it happens in a very, very intense way both mentally and physically.. it’s hard to describe. But I’m positive it’s a seizure, usually induced by highly emotional situations in my life (thankfully, it doesn’t happen very often!). My doc did say it would be hard to catch with testing as it’s hard to know when it’ll happen next.
But you’re correct, it can be seizures. Not all cases of Deja vu is though.

Not to mention his humbling way of interacting with Jay. Other drs. Or professionals tend to speak with a certain finesse sense of ego and I can normally catch it with their body language mainly. dr. So obviously the brain really fascinates me, especially with because I still remember the dream that I had while I was medically induced in a coma.. or at least I think it was during the coma or perhaps the surgery if we can still dream during that… would love to ask him that question. But overall, I thank you for making this video and sharing it with us, I would have loved to have heard more about the predictions and premonitions of them after dreaming. I once asked to dream that I was in the casino and see the next winning bet and the betting amount on the roulette wheel. That night I had the following dream. I was in a casino at a roulette table and i had a bet of 10$ on the line between 17 and 18. When I woke up I remembered the dream and was pretty excited. That night I went to the local casino. I bought 10$ of chips and placed the bet and left the table for the restroom. When I got back, I had won 175$. Litterally making money in my sleep. Predicting the future too. Your welcome.

What really facinates me is when I interact with people in the dreamverse and then I meet those same people in the realverse and they remember me but can't place from where or when they met or interacted with me, and then there have been times when I woke up feeling crushed because of a love lost in the dreamverse.
And there have been so many times when I thought I was awake because I woke up in my dream but I was still sleeping.
The brain can change and distort time in either direction like with dreams hours in the dreamverse can happen within minutes or like during an accident when time goes in slow motion.

My dreams feel as real as if I was awake. Except for the confusion of being at many places at any given time. I can feel, smell, touch, and even my conversations in a dream are pretty straightforward. Just 2 nights ago I had a conversation in my dream with my ex's sister. Even telling her in my dream that I dreamt we had this conversation. When I woke up, I was confused about what really happened. Then I snapped out of it, realizing it was a dream. I have also dreamt about my loved ones who have passed on another world in the universe. Days later I see similar planets that have just been discovered on UA-cam with stunning detail to my dream. I also have had math dreams when i was much younger while learning multiplications and had an adult verify me speak in my sleep and wake myself up to the times table, dream anxiety. 💀💀💀 dreams are so wild. Usually im in impossible/abstract architectural areas, small towns, futuristic cities, places that feel like other planets all together, and alot of times people i have had profound or even familial connections with will show up in some of the adventures, sometimes people who have passed. Almost like having a second life when i can remember almost everyday some sort of a life having been lived somewhere else in my sleep. Sometimes i wake up so enmeshed in having been in “my other life” that i can recall having spent copious amounts of time there, days to weeks of these weird realities playing out in my mind. Idk. Cant better explain it. But i wake up just fine usually but sometimes i can feel almost hungover. I am an artist as well, my dreams have definitely driven alot of my painting and music lyrics.

When he brought up black and white dreams it made sense. Growing up one of my fourth grade teachers would show us Charlie Chaplin films in lunch. I became so obsessed with them that anytime he had any I would go and watch them with my teacher. As an adult I still dream in black and white, it’s very rare when I dream in color 😭😭

I have the 'sweetheart' personality (people pleaser) and am just learning to say 'no' at 70 years old. All my dreams are me being full of rage. They have actually turned into night terrors where my heart is pounding so hard and my blood pressure is so high in the morning. I did predict my only sister's death 2 months before she died and have never got over it. (27 years ago) So I am working on finding some peace by setting strong boundaries on anyone in my life who causes me stress.

Jay during this interview the entire time i kept thinking you were speaking to someone different because of his voice. Let me throw this name at ya... Mathew McConaughey? His voice is so similar. It had me checking the screen.
His passion for this subject was authentic and interesting.
Thanks for having this subject. Very unique and inspiring!

My nightmares definitely began before 5 and they did ruin my next day, so much that I hated naps and going to bed at night. I threw so many tantrums and my parents didn't know what to do about my terrors and sleepwalking/talking.
