EVERYONE in that stadium was belting “WHOOOOO-HOOOO-HOO-OHHH!” You don’t get that anymore ever with halftime shows. The entire stadium everyone uniting as one to sing together like that it’s just so beautiful.
Dave Grohl was asked what he thought about Prince. He basically said Prince is better than everyone at doing everything. Haha. Also, he cried seeing Prince play Best of You. He said it was his proudest musical achievement.
I hear you, but at the same time, everyone talks about his bananas vocal range - it just we have to fit it in with talking about all his other GM level abilities 😂
Also, his arranging skills. He arranged this whole performance - the college band, onstage band, the choice and order of the songs, and the transitions. Incredible.
They should just replay this half time show every year, at least at some point during the day when they are running all the pregame Bullshit. This is the best performance ever. Period.
Agreed! Both Prince & MJ had the best halftime shows. Simply Beautiful... Heartbreaking that he's not here to perform it for us but it's Beautiful. 💜❣💜❣💜 ☮️❤️💜🕊️✌🤗

You can sense that Prince realized the gravity of that performance at the end - and I really wish the cameras had not cut away from his face so soon. He looked jubilant at the end of it...
There will simply never be another Prince. It will simply never happen. He was, is and always will be one of a kind. An actual, true musical prodigy and musical genius, he almost seemed supernatural in his abilities and range of gifts; a genius composer, songwriter, dancer, singer, musician and performer, he was ethereal, incredibly skilled and unbelievably gifted. By the time he was 19, he had mastered 27 instruments, wrote, composed and produced the entirety of his debut album singlehandedly, and was in complete command of a four 1/2 octave vocal range…yet never took an instrument lesson or vocal lesson in his life. Completely self taught. He was simply born with those abilities. A gift from the Gods to mankind. I still tear up a little every time I watch one of his performances. But it would hurt more to never see his performances again. When he died, I fell into a month long depression. He wasn’t supposed to go this soon, and in that way. Not him. And it just felt like the greatest of the greats, a musical god, a living icon, a true genius, that along with our youth (lived to much of his music), had left us for good. And far too soon. The greats, along with our youth and our era, were all gone. Michael, Whitney, Tom Petty, Chris Cornell, Scott Weiland, Amy Winehouse, and of course Prince. In less than one decade. Gone. All gone. But more than all the others, it hurt so much that Prince, a once in a trillinium kind of musical genius, was gone. It’s still heartbreaking to me that Prince went way to young and in such a needless, tragic way. No children. No partner. The greatest artist that may have ever lived, died alone in an elevator. Broke my heart. And it may always hurt a bit. Michael may be the King of pop. Aretha the Queen of soul. Rakim The Godfather of Hip Hop. Madonna the Queen of Pop. James Brown The Godfather of Soul. Ozzy The Godfather of Heavy Metal. Chuck the Father of Rock and Roll. Whitney the Queen of R&B. BB the King of The Blues. Miles the God of Jazz. But, simply put, Prince is the greatest artist and musician that ever lived. EVER. Even if we lived a thousand years, we’d not see his like again. It will probably always hurt a bit the way we lost him. But weren’t we the incredibly lucky ones to have been alive when he was alive? And how fortunate that we have these recordings etched in time, to watch whenever we want. Thankfully that includes this absolutely incredible, magical performance. I had the honor of seeing Prince 4 times in concert and oh my God he rocked the whole place! I have been to many concerts and seen many artist but Prince was by far the best performer I have ever seen! What a loss!
Last time i saw Prince was the Gold Experience and your years after I vowed to see him again.....until it was too late.....one of my biggests regrets in life.
I've seen him four times as well. I was so blessed to be able to see him in 2004 at the Essence Festival when he reunited with The Revolution and they all hugged on stage for the longest time when the show was over. Morris Day and The Time were there as well. Best concert I've ever been to. I was hoarse for days.
I saw him during his Emacipation tour in 1997 in San Jose... It was an outside concert and it was cold as hell... He said, "it's colder than a witch's nipple"... Then he had the after party at the Sound Factory in San Francisco
Ugghhhh...I'm so jealous of all of you 😉 I wish I had the chance to witness the awesomeness of Prince live. God what a loss to this world when this Angel in heels was called home 😢
I am a life long Prince fan since For You, I was blessed to see him 5 times in concert. I cried every time. Every show he was so pure and authentic, what a talent. His voice, the guitar, that piano, his clothes, his hair, his dancing...his beauty. Uhhhhh I miss him so much. He had the ability to make you feel like he was giving you, and only you a private concert a Paisley Park 🕊☮️💜👑🗣🎤🐐
Prince was pure genius. I've only been to 2 concerts in my entire life. My 1st was the Michael Jackson Bad Tour in '88 ( I was 13) and then my 2nd was a surprise Prince concert in '97 when the Emancipation CD was out. It was a small arena concert, only 5000 tickets sold and I had the best seats. I miss this man so much.
@@dangerouslybad58 It was awesome. We had nose bleed seats at that concert, but it was still so good. I can't believe that the tickets only cost about $30 back then.
I went to that concert, too!!! In San Jose, California. The after party was in San Francisco at the Sound Factory...I got in the VIP section, but they made everyone leave when he got there. I waited outside by his tour bus(mind you I was a fan since I was 6)... He ran by us and jumped on the bus, but he looked at me...I was heartbroken for years after that because I never really met him... obviously he's still my favorite
I'm a huge Prince fan and I've watched this performance at least 50 times. When I watched your video it was nice to see you express your emotions while watching Prince. Prince truly loved his fans. Gone too soon💜🕊
LOVE THIS. An someone who grew up with Prince in the Twin Cities, he is not just arguably the most talented musician ever, but was a living legend in the community. I still get emotional when I hear his songs 💜💜💜💜💜
You shouldn’t apologise for being emotional - that’s what great music should do for us and this is *such* a great performance. I was lucky enough to see Prince live many times and, unsurprisingly ‘Purple Rain’ was played at most of those shows. Other artists sometimes seem to tire of their biggest hits but Prince always played ‘Purple Rain’ with such emotion - it was clearly a very special song to him. I never got tired of hearing him playing that song - every time it still felt so special - and it’s the one I find hardest listening to since his passing. Thank you for celebrating the man, his music, his talent and this wonderful performance. 🎼💜🎶
A true Maestro. Websters definition of a Maestro is an eminent composer, conductor, or teacher of music and Prince was all of those things and more. ☮️🕊💜🎶
As a 43 year old nan who has been a life time fan of the late great Prince , just watching all his performances ,knowing that no one will ever get to witness this genius live , that thought always brings a tear to my eyes... I feel you brother ,just know you never alone when you feel that way , any true fan of Prince sheds a tear when ever they see or hear him... truly a genuinely great reaction ..
I can never make it through without weeping. The beauty, and wonder that was Prince, effortlessly weaving a performance encompassing generations. One of the great entertainers, an epic talent for the ages. I do miss him. I share the sad, and appreciation of the epic Purple one.

It’s like all the greats are gone!!!
I really miss talent like this too, thanks for sharing!
Whitney = Best Star Spangled Banner
Prince= Best Half Time Show
My favorite two artists. Rest on legends and thanks for giving the best of you to us!!
All they need is New Edition to do the Half time show
I am a life long Prince fan since For You, I was blessed to see him 5 times in concert.
That's the first time I saw the WHOLE halftime show and man I was crying with u💜💜
I have the same feeling as you when I watch this my man!! Tears every time!
Don't it feel good? Yes! .... I felt that.
Those are pretty epic concerts - lucky you!
How was the bad tour concert?
@@dangerouslybad58 It was awesome. We had nose bleed seats at that concert, but it was still so good. I can't believe that the tickets only cost about $30 back then.
I went to that concert, too!!! In San Jose, California. The after party was in San Francisco at the Sound Factory...I got in the VIP section, but they made everyone leave when he got there.
I waited outside by his tour bus(mind you I was a fan since I was 6)... He ran by us and jumped on the bus, but he looked at me...I was heartbroken for years after that because I never really met him... obviously he's still my favorite
Jacko was a clown compare to prince,
I'm so happy you reacted to Prince💜 I'm crying with you beautiful soul, thank you.😢😢😢💜 Purple Rain hits me like that Everytime☔☔☔😢😢
I'm a huge Prince fan and I've watched this performance at least 50 times. When I watched your video it was nice to see you express your emotions while watching Prince. Prince truly loved his fans. Gone too soon💜🕊
Seeing how much this means to you...reminds me...how much it means to me...thank you friend 🤟
LOVE THIS. An someone who grew up with Prince in the Twin Cities, he is not just arguably the most talented musician ever, but was a living legend in the community.
I still get emotional when I hear his songs 💜💜💜💜💜
purple rain is one of the greatest song ever.that 'hoho'head voice part could be really touching and moving.❤️ from china
THE BEST Superbowl performance of all time. The one and only Prince, there will never ever be another like him. 💜💜🎶🎶🎤🎸
A true Maestro. Websters definition of a Maestro is an eminent composer, conductor, or teacher of music and Prince was all of those things and more. ☮️🕊💜🎶
EVER!
You made me cry 😭.....we had great, great, great Geniuses gone too soon. Prince was my favorite☂️☔️☂️💜💜💜💜💜
I love PRINCE...the greatest of all time 🤟
This is so perfect is never fails to move me to tears. Love your emotional response. I feel it. I'm crying too. PRINCE 4 EVER. 💜🕊
The biggest loss ever to the music world there will never ever be another like him 💜☔️💜
He and Michael
What a beautiful reaction! Your reaction shows just how much you care about music and performance. Thank you. Love from Scotland 💜
The Best presentation in The Super bowl
It’s difficult to comprehend the talent this man had.
His backup singer is Shelby J. That was her first live performance with Prince and she was with him for seven years.
I can never make it through without weeping. The beauty, and wonder that was Prince, effortlessly weaving a performance encompassing generations. One of the great entertainers, an epic talent for the ages. I do miss him. I share the sad, and appreciation of the epic Purple one.
Love this half time super bowl show. He was awesome.
I can’t help but tear up when I hear people singing in unison like that, 70,000 people all singing together.
This was the best damn SUPERBOWL HALFTIME SHOW. Prince took it to another level. Many have followed and tried to outdo him but have failed. R.I.P. PURPLE WONDER
I came across this video today and felt compelled to write after watching you. Like yourself I grew up in the 80s and Prince was always playing in my home, it still is and my children listen to his songs now. Watching you cry and seeing that emotion from you is exactly what all of us Prince fans feel. When I listen to him it brings me back and reminds me of home. Weren’t we so lucky to have had him in our lives 💜💜💜
Brilliant. I was watching this alone when it aired, jumping up and down, screaming. So emotional.
Great pick for a Prince performance. Prince was one of a kind. Gone much too soon. Thanks for featuring this.
Your energy is so sweet and beautiful
There was Prince. Then fifty feet of greatness. And then... everyone else. He was, he truly was... an alien. Forever missed.
Love your reaction. I cried with you.
Everything you said is spot-on. There hasn't been a talent like this since his passing. And I doubt there will be another as phenomenal in the near future.
Exactly💯
Roger Daltrey.
No, never...those guys are one in a trillion...Michale Jackson, Freddy mercury, prince, guys like that just don't come around

I was able to see Prince perform this classic in 1985 at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse New York!😭
I cried THE WHOLE concert! Just overwhelmed at the thought that I was in the same space in time with this MEGA-mortal!
He was as GOOD as it gets! But I’m SO blessed to be able to say that I SAW HIM, Live!🙌🏾🖤🖤🖤
Thanks for this!
Thank you for reminding me about how spectacular this performance truly was. Miss you Prince
I met Prince in 2005 at the Cow Palace in San Francisco and he was so incredibly kind. He was just as beautiful in person as he was on tv. Definitely one of the top most amazing moments of my life for sure. I was heartbroken to hear about his passing. The world lost a beautiful human being
Magical! 💫
Just discovered your channel, anyone who is moved to tears by Prince is alright with me! ❤️
Agree!
I was a fan since he put out Soft and Wet ! People have no idea of how great he was. My son is a guitarist and he's always amazed at Prince's seamless segues, he believes it's difficult to do. I was so proud of Prince this night, I think he was proud of himself, too. I miss him !! 💔💜💜
Omg! I need more Prince please! 😩💜 It was a great video 💜
The best Super Bowl half-time show and it's not even close.
How could this not be the best half time show ever!
According to the record it is #1, and Micheal Jackson is 2nd.
These words barely capture how grateful I am to have stumbled across your channel. Your passion is extraordinary, your soul is so beautiful, your confidence is infections, I can't express fully how amazing it is to know someone like you exists. In these incredibly toxic and exhausting times, it's a true treasure to know you. Thank you for sharing yourself with us 💓
