scp-835-jp once was the fear all foundation members shared of being killed out of nowhere and not being able to do anything about it made manifest, but now its just a little yandere with a knife. the utter deprication of it all.
Actually she's an assassin. A yandere girl is a girl who is obsessively in love with someone, Sometimes to the point where they will kill the person they love because they don't want the person to ever leave them (I know, it sounds contradictory, but that's what yandere girls do). However, Keteru Yamiko kills SCP personnel because she is a trained assassin who has been taught to target SCP personnel. I know, I keep wanting to think of her as a yandere too (because she's depicted as an anime girl who kills people with a knife, and her last name Yamiko does sound a bit like yandere), but she isn't a yandere.
Keteru Yamiko was one of the very first SCP files I read, and is one of the things that brought me into the SCP community. I’ve had a fondness for this SCP ever since, and I’m glad you finally covered it.

I believe the JP attachment means it was catalogued at the japanese branch of the Foundation. Not sure if you know this, but there are several branches of the Foundation at specific countries with their own gallery of " local anomalies ", so to speak. Japan, Italy, France, Russia, etc.
You'd be a fool to make this scp a worldwide thing in the mainstream because a lot of people are oddly into that kind of thing they'd end up making yamiko a yandere who not only kills for senpai but as an occupation as well and would then have a crazy good alibi for her killings for her senpai XD
The important thing with the entity itself is the shared consciousness perception. Unless a major consensus shift occurs, those tendencies and powers won't change. Thus, even if some started picturing her as a Yandere, they wouldn't have any more impact than the countless others who made Rule 34 art of her. The consensus would remain of her 'canon' appearance. Keteru Yamiko is a Darkness Youkai, her power *comes* from being unknown as Youkai are manifestations of the *fears* of the unknown. The dark is the greatest one, defining her neutralized her as she now has an identity. But when was the *actual* reason any fun?
In my guess, it's actually more like the entity don't want to be known, it want to be mystery, and not conceivable by thought...but become waifu instead. I'm start to imagine the entity reaction like "F this S*** I'm out!" 😅
my interpretation of 835-JP from reading the article is that this entity was an actual physical entity (not a metaphysical thought) that actively preyed on foundation personnel, but after it was drawn as an anime girl was way too embarrassed to show its face again, or even really was (or thought it was) a assassin who hasn't shown up anymore because they think their cover is blown
11:49 scp-1160 was distributed internationally being described as a character on a cereal box, so the foundation turned a dangerous keter class to safe by making a character on a cereal box from it
9:33 imagine you are in an mtf and you get sent to contain a very dangerous anomaly. You acknowledge that you could die on this mission. You and the rest of the mtf go out to the transport van after briefing, and there is an anime girl painted on the side. You look down at your rifle, and there is a sticker of an anime girl. You look over at one of your fellow mtf members, and he has a patch of an anime girl on her shoulder. At this point you think you’ve lost it. You ask one of the other mtf member to slap you. He does, and you see an anime girl on his glove. At this point you’re done. You draw your handgun, plastered with a sticker of an anime girl, and shoot yourself twice in the chest. As you fall to the ground, everything blurry, you catch a glimpse of the anime girl on the pistol casings. You shakily reach for your pistol to end it all, when the mtf leader kicks the handgun away. You see the anime girl in his boot. You start crying, begging him to end it, but instead he shouts into his radio. “We need medvac, right now!” He turns to you and yells, “what the hell are you doing private?! Do you want to get demoted to D-class?!” Everything gets blurry. You blink and all of a sudden a helicopter is overhead, with an anime girl painted on the side. Your squad is nowhere to be seen as a medical team loads you on a stretcher. You wake up in a hospital, a poster of the anime girl on the wall. You reach up to pull the IV from your arm, but you don’t have enough energy. You quietly cry to yourself as the nurse comes in with dinner, served on a tray with the anime girl on it. The nurse informs you that the mission was successful, thinking you were injured on the mission. Boy, was she wrong.
my first priority with this one is researching if it is truly fear of the dark personifified and if it isn't, try to find whoever keeps sending her on these assassination missions

Me at the beginning of the video: "wait, was that an AUG? What happened to his P90?"
Imagine walking down your building in which you work and seeing a mural about a random anime girl
Keteru Yamiko is a Darkness Youkai, her power *comes* from being unknown as Youkai are manifestations of the *fears* of the unknown. The dark is the greatest one, defining her neutralized her as she now has an identity.
But when was the *actual* reason any fun?
"We have nothing to fear but fear itself"
--Franklin D. Roosevelt
Who would of thought that a manga loving researcher would neutralize a keter class SCP
Finally an SCP ive been waiting for you to explain
Even the foundation has its own anime character.
Why do I love this? World building at its FINEST and creativity to the MAX
so what you're saying is that if the foundation believed in weapon that could kill 682 hard enough it would become real?
In my guess, it's actually more like the entity don't want to be known, it want to be mystery, and not conceivable by thought...but become waifu instead. I'm start to imagine the entity reaction like "F this S*** I'm out!" 😅
ya I ges
Always nice to see the cognitohazard effect run the other way for once.
object class "KETER'U"
"SCP Foundation Anime Club"
If i ever joined the foundation i would wanna be assigned there lol
"It's not a tulpa"

--Dean Winchester
Hmm at least its not a SCP-1447.
I confirm I saw the ketero yamiko anime it’s called “Blood C” it’s actually sad and really cool
Slenderman: "Finally, a worthy opponent. Our battle will be legendary!"
My Boooooi! He just saved the Foundation with the power of Anime and now gets to do his favorate hobby as a Containment prosedure!!!
my interpretation of 835-JP from reading the article is that this entity was an actual physical entity (not a metaphysical thought) that actively preyed on foundation personnel, but after it was drawn as an anime girl was way too embarrassed to show its face again, or even really was (or thought it was) a assassin who hasn't shown up anymore because they think their cover is blown
"Type: Assassin"
Has SCP foundation ever consider to make a cooperation with Chaldea Security System ? Their manpower is amazing
11:49
scp-1160 was distributed internationally being described as a character on a cereal box, so the foundation turned a dangerous keter class to safe by making a character on a cereal box from it
"Disappear without a trace"
*Blood splattered everywhere*
Best scp by far, love how funny it is and it’s a very unique idea
Very clever idea on the writer’s part and great presentation for the time allotted.
"Rule 34 artist start drawing her"
Yamiko : Oh Boy, Here I Go Killing Again
So happy for the guy who drew the booklet. Saved the day through the power of anime and got to live his dream.
my first priority with this one is researching if it is truly fear of the dark personifified and if it isn't, try to find whoever keeps sending her on these assassination missions
I love the idea of Keteru checking some forum about the fear and chaos she is causing the foundation only to find they began selling manga and dakimakura of her.
it seems like most SCPs are either the manifestations of the human sub-mind, actual aliens or beings from different diamentions
That is problably the most creative spc i ever known, loved it.
to kill SCP-682's you need to erase it's book from SCP-4001
Might be my 2,3,4,5,6, favorite SCP
Imagine being the SCP that was literally neutralized by 'moe.' You'd be the laughing stock of all the other SCPs.
You don't even want to see the fiasco that was SCP-5493.
Well, SCP-1160 is the other laughing stock of being neturalized by mascot.
Now I want an anime with her as the protagonist
I wanted to see this one for a long time!
"SCP Foundation Anime Club" I'm dead 😂
