This is a really quick and simple dish with so much flavour and you can use any white fish that won’t break down too much when you’re stir frying. Happy Sunday! 💕

You guys are the best!! I love that you are honest and upfront that you, too, are feeling the increased costs of feeding our families. And while I’m not a huge consumer of fish, Flo makes me want to find a fish monger with this recipe! Keep up the great videos! TFS, Sharon🤗

It looks really delicious. When I go to a Chinese restaurant or a Southeast Asian restaurant, I want to try it. I think it will taste even better if you eat the bean sprouts together.

Thank you so much for cooking for us. I’ve recently experienced issues with my stomach. So I’m basically cutting out chicken and red meats. This dish and the steam whole fish are perfect for my new diet. It reminds me of my mother and eating the incredible dishes she use to make me. Thank you for demystifying the Chinese recipes my mom use to make.

I am an extremely, and I mean extremely experienced chef, but I must say, the observation you make regarding how to slice an onion at 2:45 blew my mind. You are extremely right and I continue to learn something from you every film I watch.

I just made a variation of this which I am eating as I write this. I added some shrimp with the cod and since I didn't have green onion I added some thinly sliced celery. I served it with rice noodles. Fantastic! Great recipe.

I just got your recipe book Chinese homestyle delivered 20 minutes ago. It's a beautiful book with lots of pictures. I was a bit surprised there was no fish or seafood recipes. Do you have another cookbook with your fish and seafood recipes. My mother in law was Cantonese but she passed earlier this year and she was The chef in The family. The recipes are very close to what she made so at least I have a chance to try to recreate the dishes she used to make. Thanks very much for helping me to remember her and her fabulous cooking

Sure gonna make this! I'm actually trying to get barramundi. Soo difficult get here in Germany! Let alone parrot fish. Our fish monger just told me that they last where able to get that 3 years ago.
To this one, I'd like to add some mungbean sprouts, just shortly before the green part of the scallions. Still simple: you just toss some in. Talking mouth feel: water chestnuts or mu-err mushrooms would be great, too. Different textures, still just tossing them in. And both will not harm the aroma of the fish.
Greetings from the far north of Germany!

Hi Flo: Maybe you could pl help me solve this problem: your recipe's great and flavorful. But my cod pieces fell apart even half way through stir frying. Broke into tiny little pieces. It is a flaky white fish. Did I cut them to thin? Were they not fresh? Did I over-marinade? Thx Flo.

this looks yummy! i am a very insecure cook so i need to ask, is the amount of oil really 1tablespoon or 1/4 cup? based on my own observations with my cooking, and bc im so insecure, i do measure things probably to my detriment, but it seems about 2-3 times that amount. Regardless, i plan on making this yummy, simple stir fry very soon-thanks, as always.

Hey Flo, I found a great deal on an OLD time Wak I got it at a thrift store and it looks like something that they used to use on the streets on an open fire in Asia somewhere. My problem is, I’ve never used one and two, it is so old it needs restored I wish there was someway I could send u a pic of it and tell me if I think it’s worth me cleaning or restoring it.

Hi Flo. Great looking stir fry! Have you ever done deep fried fish fillets with creamed corn sauce? I'd like to see that 😋. Btw, are you able to get Icelandic cod in Vancouver. We get it quite often here in Ottawa and I got to tell you it is fabulous!

Thanks, Rod… not yet to the creamed corn & fish filets… and I don’t think I’ve ever had Icelandic cod. The wild caught pacific cod is what I’ve been buying here.
