Thank you so much! I almost bought a new oven if I didn’t come across your video. It only cost me $26 to repair my oven. Your directions were really simple and easy to follow.
I’m sure this is somewhere in the comments but an easier way to access the wire harness is by pulling the oven out away from your wall and there’s a little opening in the rear. Super simple and no need to reach your arm all the way up and contort yourself!! Thanks for the video.
Thank you so much for such an awesome video!! I've never done anything with an oven and i was able to replace the igniter on my own, thanks to you! Not to mention how much money it saved me! Thank you thank you!!!
Thank you very much! That worked like a charm. 20 minutes and $22 to solve a problem we've had for months. Straightforward repair with your instructions. Thanks again.
I’m sure you’ve heard this a thousand times. But thank you so much. I didn’t want to purchase a new stove before the holidays. This $20 burner saved me tons. Thank you. Your video was very detailed. I had a stubborn screw on the burner that didn’t want to budge. After days of extracting it… it finally loosened up and I’m back in business to cook my sweet potato pies before Thanksgiving.
I’m so happy for. The sweet potato pies sound so delicious. I wish you can send some my way, but save them for the family. Congrats! Happy baking and have a wonderful thanksgiving! 😊
Im a baker my oven igniter went out. I just purchased the igniter, a little nervous about fixing it but with this guide I think I can fix it . Wish me luck !
Great video, completed the igniter change out today! Even though my oven was a different model, your video gave me the tools and confidence to complete! Last time (only 4 years ago) I had a service technician come complete and it cost me $280.00. This time, it only cost me for the igniter $24.00! Thanks again, much appreciate! 👍
Excellent video, you left nothing to the imagination. Clear, concise instructions. For some reason I thought that this would be something that I could not tackle so when my oven started making little "booming" noises trying to fire up correctly, I knew it was the ignitor and decided to call a repair person. Now I know that if it goes out in the future that I can easily, and inexpensively, fix it myself. THANK YOU!
Very good video thank you! Wife called repair guy and he said $300 per igniter, watched this video and bought the part for $22.99 online and now it works great! Great instructions
Thank you so much! You saved us lots of headaches, time and money! Our oven went kaput on the weekend so no handy men were available. It was kind of an emergency for us too since we rely heavily on our oven and use it multiple times a week. You explained everything and showed everything really well. I ordered the part on Amazon and was able to fix our oven as soon as I got the part within 2 days. Thank you again so much!
Add me the list of grateful and thankful doit yourselfers who were blessed by your video. You are a great instructor. Thank you for your help and guidance fir this repair.
Got my oven back up and running in no time thanks to you all simple steps I have notice that we are changing it every 7-8 month I know we use the oven often but wish it lasted longer
Thank you sir, you are a great teacher and did not leave out any details. My wife is baking a pie now that our oven works again. All is well. All is well.
THANK YOU! Great video. Instead of unhooking the igniter from the oven drawer it is really easy to unhook from the back. I am still in the process of trying to replace as the front screw is so stuck that normal extraction methods are not working.
Thanks so much for your great instructions. Worked like a charm. We have the exact same oven. It would cycle on and start to heat up then it would cycle off. Kept repeating that on and off. Now I am cooking with gas! Lol
Great video! Nice easy step by step instructions. Thought I might have to call a repairman, decided to give it a go myself. Took only 1/2 hour, cost me a total of $26.00!
This is was extremely helpful, in how to fix but also helped in initial diagnosing. Amazon’d part yesterday and fixed in about 20 minutes. Saved lots of money not replacing, also my son only eats a certain type of frozen pizza so we were desperate to have it up quickly.
Excellent step by step video. I was a bit nervous dealing with a gas appliance but this is fail safe if you follow along. Took about 30 minutes including cleaning the oven :- ) I used the OEM replacement part from Amazon BTW.
Great video! Super helpful. This is the second time I’ve had to replace the igniter on this stove. The video I found last time got the job done but yours was much better in terms of angles where to see the screws, and the order of unplugging the igniter beneath before removing or replacing the screws made it much easier. Pie looks delicious! Keep up the good work and THANK YOU! 🇺🇸🥧
$20 to fix mine. I am sure an appliance repair shop would have charged $500. Thank you for making this video. It took all the guesswork out of the job.
Great video. Just finished replacing mine. All I had different was that to get the wires unclipped I had to pull the oven out from the wall and remove the back plate. Then they were right in there.
You made this so easy to do. I absolutely love DIY especially since I don’t have to bother the hubby another honey-do. It’ll just add on to the list anyway! 😂. I’ve subscribed to you and look forward to more of your videos.
Thanks for the instructions, but the screw at 5:03 is difficult to grip with any of my Phillips and impossible to get out, I'm stuck on a Saturday night trying to get it out somehow.
About fell out my chair rofl along about step 8, 6:55, when I saw what looked to be Step 1! Not that the unit was usable at pre-check, but I sure don't have that sort of trust in Amazon and always try to ascertain correct replacement(s) are in hand. First. Anyway: thank you! A+
My oven is not working as well Was wondering if the gas can be smelled in this situation? Ours does not heat up but can not smell gas .. Possibly the igniter has to work for the gas to flow ? Nice detailed video Will like Thank you
Your video was wonderful! Unfortunately, they had the front screw on the burner tightened so much that I stripped it before I could get it loose. I'm going to try a special screwdriver from work, but this could turn into a single screw making me replace the entire oven. I really do appreciate you putting this together though, it was super straightforward until I came to this issue (which obviously you had nothing to do with)!
About to do this myself. I noticed you selected convection bake and in none of your clips afterwards did I see the fan turning. My fan rarely if ever works and I'll be replacing that as well. Is this something you've noticed and/or done?
Hello there ... My bottom one if perfectly working, but I noticed you touch with your hand the one on the top. Was this to make sure it is hot and of course working? Let me share with you, my oven is leaking gas at the time I turn it on, but I do not know if it is related with this top burner, since I do not know when it has to be on You just mentioned you chage that one about one year ago after replacing the bottom one and I'm wondering if the change was due to a gas leaking or just not turning on. I hope you can help to understand this issue
We have the same issue except it is intermittent. Most of the time the oven works but sometimes it will only get up to 175 degrees and we can see the glow of a flame. Do you think the ignitor is the cause?

@@diypotentials Thank you for your quick reply, my model number is slightly different but the part and method worked despite that! Thanks again for the video!
Is the ignitor for the broiler and the oven the same. I have a similar issue, but since my broiler works (which we rarely use), could I just switch the working ignitor (broiler) for the broken one (oven)? Thanks!
How long did you wait for igniter to come on after you replace it and you turn on 350 and then went down to 150 how long do you have to wait after that?
I replaced my bake/bottom igniter. Time for brownies! The screw at the front of the tube holding it in place was a little tough to get out. It sits on a small platform so I just shot it with a very small amount of P Blaster and slightly inserted a small flat blade screwdriver between the compressed part of the tube and its platform and wiggled it. I can see corrosion and the heat/cool cycles freezing screws in place. The reason for the very small amount of P Blaster is because I wanted to make sure I left zero behind- cleaned up with soap and water afterward.
Hello! I don’t have to turn off the gas? I freaked out when I saw you remove the tube and didn’t specify if the gas was turned off from the main line? Sorry I’m not sure if I explained that right. Please help me

Are the igniters the same for all Samsungs? It looks like I have the same oven as you but just wanted to know. Ty!
