    Your video was wonderful! Unfortunately, they had the front screw on the burner tightened so much that I stripped it before I could get it loose. I'm going to try a special screwdriver from work, but this could turn into a single screw making me replace the entire oven. I really do appreciate you putting this together though, it was super straightforward until I came to this issue (which obviously you had nothing to do with)!

    I replaced my bake/bottom igniter. Time for brownies! The screw at the front of the tube holding it in place was a little tough to get out. It sits on a small platform so I just shot it with a very small amount of P Blaster and slightly inserted a small flat blade screwdriver between the compressed part of the tube and its platform and wiggled it. I can see corrosion and the heat/cool cycles freezing screws in place. The reason for the very small amount of P Blaster is because I wanted to make sure I left zero behind- cleaned up with soap and water afterward.

    We have the same issue except it is intermittent. Most of the time the oven works but sometimes it will only get up to 175 degrees and we can see the glow of a flame. Do you think the ignitor is the cause?

    Hello there ... My bottom one if perfectly working, but I noticed you touch with your hand the one on the top. Was this to make sure it is hot and of course working? Let me share with you, my oven is leaking gas at the time I turn it on, but I do not know if it is related with this top burner, since I do not know when it has to be on
    You just mentioned you chage that one about one year ago after replacing the bottom one and I'm wondering if the change was due to a gas leaking or just not turning on. I hope you can help to understand this issue

    • @diypotentials
      @diypotentials  10 місяців тому +1

      Sorry to hear. What a bummer! It might be faulty igniter or electrical issues, loosed or burned wires, preventing current from reaching the igniter or circuit board issues. It is your call if it is time to call a technician. Thanks for reaching out. Best of luck.

    • @greg6162
      @greg6162 9 місяців тому

      Checking the continuity using a meter of the igniter is your best bet. Put it in continuity mode and take the two leads in the igniter connector after you remove it. It should beep… if it doesn’t then it’s the igniter. If not it could be the heating element… or both. Sometimes the wires get burnt so check them and make sure the connection is good. A new igniter is around $25 and really easy to fix. They’re either flat or round… BE CAREFUL… to NOT touch the black carbon part of the igniter due to finger oils and it being extremely fragile. Most likely it’s the heating element if the igniter is working. Every oven is different… some have a “breaker like switch” in the back that can grip like a fuse. Sometimes you might have to flip the switch back after replacing it

    Samsung charges like $250+ for these ignitors. Ridiculous for an identical part you can buy for $25 online when theirs is junk.
