The first time I felt pain was when I was 5 years-old. You see, I had spent my entire life climbing furniture when I heard an Elvis song. I had begged my mother if we could go see Elvis in concert. She told me, “next time.” His last concert was the one I begged to see. In Indianapolis where we resided. I remember vividly. My mother had a yellow Vega and as we were pulling up to our first level apartment, the radio said that the “King” is dead…Elvis died. My tears could have washed away many miseries. For those of you that have zero recall of Elvis….ponder this….how many kids were named Elvis vs those who were named Jordan. That is how big he was. Now that I’m older, I get it. The stronger you appear, the harder the world needs you.
I was at this concert. It was a heartbreak. He struggled. His back up singers would have to finish for him. I loved seeing him but knew he was very very sick. His belief in God sustained him. I saw the movie and lost it. Rest in Peace dear Elvis. We miss you. ❤💔
He had no choice he did this against his will Parker insisted he do it i don't usually say hate but in Parker's case i do hate him he knew it i told him that many times how much.. Elvis didn't want to do it because he didn't want anyone to see him this way. He was my friend for 10 years up until his death. He felt humiliated because of his condition.
You are right that he knew it was close to the end. His back-up singer, Estelle Brown ( one of the Sweet Inspirations) said that he told her around this time that his mama was coming to get him soon. So sad. He also knew that most people on his mama's side of the family died young. He had so many genetic health problems and must have been in a lot of pain. Thanks for your wonderful reaction and appreciation of this great man. 💖💖💖⚡️
My husband & I watched the new "Elvis" movie recently. It ends with this clip of Elvis singing "Unchained Melody". I find it very heartbreaking watching this performance as Elvis was not well at all. But he still had a great voice right to the end.
You're about the same age as my kids. I was born in 1970 and grew up listening to Elvis. I remember sobbing the day he died...I was 7. I can't tell you how much I love watching you react to my old peoples music and giving it life to a new generation. THANK YOU for putting a smile on this old ladys face. XOXOXO
Elvis voice got better and better as he got older, some of his later songs, the less well known are pretty deep.. Some awesome lyrics and vocals - He also covered the righteous bros - Youve Lost that Loving Feeling.. exceptional performance he did of that in vegas x
Elvis last performance was in Indianapolis, Indiana. You could tell he hurt and was in pain, but he didn't want to disappoint his fans. He passed away 2 months later. Their will be no one else like him again. Thank you for helping keep his memories alive so other generations can see him and get to know him too ! I enjoy listening to you !
Great reaction! It's heartbreaking to see ELVIS in his last weeks, he was so sick, but his voice never left him! ELVIS always number one! Love your reactions! Thank you!
You are correct, this particular performance is both sad and amazing. The richness and power of his voice never died. Most fans of E knew the troubles he was going through at the time of this performance.... we were sad. No mater what he was going through, no matter the bad press, no matter what the situation, his fans never stopped loving him. Those fans carried his legacy right into 2023. You definitely need to watch the Elvis movie that was recently in theatres... really.... do it.
Elvis was suppose to have a concert in Syracuse NY back in 1977. I had two tickets to this show, and it was the second time Elvis came to Syracuse and two tickets cost only $ 20.00. Sadly he passed away right before the concert. This was the sadness day of my life and I was only 17 years old! Queen tickets in 1975 were only $ 7.50 a ticket. That's one of the reasons I miss the 70s so much!
He was in active heart failure (according to the book destined to die young. Author did extensive research of medical records and dr interviews) so the fact that he still had the lung capacity to hit these notes is AMAZING. Makes me want to cry
Ohhhh that was a great reaction to a very hard song for Elvis fans to watch. Elvis was suffering from so many sicknesses all at once. He wasn’t really that fat. Yes he had bad eating habits especially at the end, who doesn’t - but Elvis larger appearance was mostly about his critical inflammatory disease, which doctors did not know how to cure at that time. Him being stuck with Dr. Nick made everything much worse, who was supplying him with deadly quantities of painkillers. Elvis was the victim of a perfect storm. And the end of that perfect was sadly the premature end of Elvis’s life -- just seven weeks after this incredible performance. He was literally dying during this performance.
Amazingly, Elvis was to start his 5th Tour of 1977 on the day he died; and, he sang & played piano at his home in Graceland in the early morning hours before his death. As you can see, he was clearly very ill by his final concert yet still gave his all. Elvis Was music & so many other things. Still miss him; I was 22 years old when he died. Grew up listening to Elvis Presley from a very early age as my mother was a huge fan & I was too.
He was on meds here for heart and other medical problems. You can see the difference. This video was cut short because of his sweating and shaking. He insisted on playing this piano himself..which he barely did. And he still pulled it thru for his fans..❤
So sad Elvis left us 6 weeks after this. The saddest day ever. While on his tour at the end I had tickets to see Elvis in concert.Utica Ny Memorial Auditorium. When Elvis died I went into a rage,so sad.The G.O.A.T
For those of fans who had not gone to his concerts, had no idea how badly he looked until this aired on TV a few months after he passed. I was so shocked when I watched his final performances on TV. The younger Elvis was always particular about how he appeared in public, so it was obvious that drugs had a hold on him.
Thanks for the reaction and your comments to this awesome one-of-a-kind video. Elvis Presley was absolutely one of a kind there has been no one else like him and they’re never will be what awesome musical history you just commented on and I think you bro.👍🙏👑🔥🎹⚡️🎸🎤🎶🇺🇸
It's rough to watch but obviously his voice only got better right up until the day he died. And he knew he shouldn't have done that show but he just did it anyway. He's not fat here, he's bloated from the health complications and then all the drugs they had him on. Another great one from this final performance is How Great Thou Art. I mean the 19721 is definitely fantastic but somehow I love this final one.
Elvis was never a racist so happy we can put that hideous rumor to rest!! Elvis and Jackie were good friends!! Elvis helped bring the crowd into a place where Jackie Wilson had a gig!! When Jackie had a heart attack lived Nine years in a coma E paid his medical bills!! Stop the hate/ in my heart I believe that nasty rumor got started to DEVIDE us!!! Love Elvis Love Jackie!! ❤❤ to our world what we humans could be if we United!!!❤❤❤ Soar and sing with the angels Elvis and Jackie!!!
It makes me so sad to see him so sick. Everyone always says he was fat. His doctor, not unlike Michael Jackson’s, had him on so many drugs that caused swelling and inflammation. His doctor like Jackson’s never got in trouble. Elvis was lonely and sad and his rotten managers and awful doctor killed him in my personal opinion. I loved Elvis since I was in the womb and I’m 53 now and I blame them - I’ll die on that hill. Elvis was an angel on earth and is one now. This is to heartbreaking for me to watch, oh my heart. I just want to hug him.💔
Exactly, Me too,I'm 64 ,And it breaks my heart to see him like this sick but still giving everthing he has to his music and people, Elvis definitely was the G.O.A.T./ KING ❤❤❤
1. Most people react to an uncut version of the performance, where at the end of the song you can see that Sherill Nielsen is holding the high note to cover for him (whilst Elvis goes hrrrrmph!). 2. This was not his last gig - it's an outtake from one of the two gigs filmed for Elvis In Concert, The real last gig - Indianapolis - is preserved on an audience tape and it's actually one of his best late-period performances. 3. In the uncut version Elvis takes a while to compose himself and actually start the song - and snaps at Charlie Hodge for no reason.
🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 RIP🙏🙏🙏 HE DIED a few weeks later 😢😢😢 Love you're channel reaction ❤ May I suggest another great performance by "Joe Bonamassa" with "Jimmy Barnes" Live studio Song is 🎵 Stone Cold 🎵 Your gonna love this song too Keep the good work my friend ✌️ 👏 👍🏻👌
Hello again. Roy Orbison 'Only the lonely'.... His story is heartbreaking. Would be great if you did a reaction video on him and this song. Much love 😊 Andrea
Loving this heartbreaking wonderful incredible poignant performance and reaction but I do have to say, this is not a Righteous Brothers song. Both Elvis and The Righteous Brothers chose to cover it very closely to each other but it's an older song.
There are other artists? (ok, I love the Righteous Brothers also). -Second time today I watched a reaction to this video and second time i had tears in my eyes at the end.
Elvis was bloated from drug use and diet, he never really recovered from the death of his mother, he had a terrible manager and a bunch of leeches known as the Memphis Mafia, he never should have stayed in Vegas, he became a parody of himself. He was a very sensitive, gentle person. His best stuff was before he went into the Army, he showed great talent as an actor. Check out an earlier time on Ed Sullivan doing "Ready Teddy" for the fun Elvis, you do great reactions!!
It has nothing to do one version with the other. The song doesn't belong to them either, it's from an old 1955 movie, although some believe it's theirs.
I never lost is talent. Jezus sings with him. Best ever this men 👑🙏

Its fucking insane that he was about to die... and STILL came with THAT!!!
There's a reason they call him "THE King"! 💯
He had no choice he did this against his will Parker insisted he do it i don't usually say hate but in Parker's case i do hate him he knew it i told him that many times how much.. HE GAVE EVERYTHING HE HAD FOR HIS FANS TO THE VERY END....THERE'S A REASON HE'S CALLED THE KING!!!!
This is hard to watch... the world misses you Elvis.....RIP❤😢❤😢❤😢
I watch this on TV and you could tell he was sick and I cry watching it on TV and he died two weeks later

I saw it too. I had to keep myself from breaking down right there

His voice was on par as an opera singer……His voice kept getting stronger right up to the end.
Long live the King!
So sad to think he was dead less than 2 months later. What a talent & performer.
You are correct, this particular performance is both sad and amazing. The richness and power of his voice never died. This is the saddest moment for Elvis fans. I was 7 when he passed. I came home from school to find my Mom crying because he passed😢❤

Elvis had this presence,a voice that touched your soul. It was as if his soul was speaking to your soul. He truly was the greatest A legend forever
He was in active heart failure (according to the book destined to die young. Author did extensive research of medical records and dr interviews) so the fact that he still had the lung capacity to hit these notes is AMAZING. Makes me want to cry
Elvis will always be the king
ELVIS is the Man 😎
Its like he knew this would be his final performance...Legend..
It was not his final performance. It was the last *recorded performance.
I'm 52 and seeing him like that broke this young girls heart. It's heat breaking.
I truly believe he knew the end was coming soon.

Thank for doing this❤
Welcome to the Elvisfamily..It is filled with LOVE and FUN❤️😉
GODSPEED YOUR LOVE TO ME.
This was in Rapid City, SD on June 21, 1977.
His last concert was in Indianapolis on June 26, 1977.
He died on August 26, 1977.
This made me cry
He was on meds here for heart and other medical problems. You can see the difference. This video was cut short because of his sweating and shaking. He insisted on playing this piano himself..which he barely did. And he still pulled it thru for his fans..❤

E hits the notes and still had amazing breath work. Thanks for your reaction 💖🦋
The King forever!

Thank you for keeping him on your channel!💚
He did over 700 songs and i' d say i like 95% of them.
Love your reactions!🌞
I remember watching this on TV . My mother loved Elvis and she always played his records 😢
Man..this always makes me cry. He gave his all all the ways to the end. 😢❤
Yes he was on prescription drugs but he was also very sick...love your reaction ❤
Great great reaction. The KING. More please 💕💕💕💕
Great reaction to a performance similar to a boxer cut to pieces and well behind on points scoring a knock out in the last round.
Elvis is blasted out of his mind. He staggered up to the piano and this song came out...flawlessly!! The King...always!
GOD BLESS YOU MY MAN! 🙏 ❤️ OUTSTANDING REACTION! 🤜💥🤛🎤🎙🔥🔥👑👑💯

If Elvis had written his own hits he would have eaten all his competitors from the 50s. Without a doubt one of the best voices of the 20th century.
It is last one on film . Elvis did 5 concerts more after this.
Dr Nick was eventually struck off for how much he prescribed Elvis, a few years after Elvis died
He died six weeks later. He gave his all.

Keep the good work my friend ✌️ 👏 👍🏻👌
Great reaction bro
He was almost blind here from glaucoma. He died 6 weeks after this.
Hello again.
Roy Orbison 'Only the lonely'.... His story is heartbreaking. Would be great if you did a reaction video on him and this song.
Much love 😊
Andrea
I always felt he was singing this to Pracilia
Loving this heartbreaking wonderful incredible poignant performance and reaction but I do have to say, this is not a Righteous Brothers song. Both Elvis and The Righteous Brothers chose to cover it very closely to each other but it's an older song.
Uh oh we’re back to elvis
Kind of reminds me of Johnny Cash when they threw that last album together. It didn't matter they're age. It was r last chance for 2 of the greats.
I heard of a new band it's called The Hu , the song is Yuve, Yuve, Yu . I think you will like it 😊
Just found the channel. Love it. Your need to try. Billy Paul - Me and Mrs Jones . So good
Not his last show this is June 21 1977 his last show was June 26 1977
There are other artists? (ok, I love the Righteous Brothers also).
-Second time today I watched a reaction to this video and second time i had tears in my eyes at the end.
Also they were very religious and I hope all of u Christians revel in there last songs. God Bless and good night.
You will love the group Styx, their song "Renegade". Hope you check it out!!
you have to watch Elvis song JUST PRETEND
I don't think this is the original audio but still good 👍🏻
It wasn’t his last show. Hé made 4 or 5 after this one.
Elvis was bloated from drug use and diet, he never really recovered from the death of his mother, he had a terrible manager and a bunch of leeches known as the Memphis Mafia, he never should have stayed in Vegas, he became a parody of himself. If you really want to hear the power of his voice Listen to a song. He does called hurt And please don't talk to this song is over
Really painful to watch. Thank you for your compassionate reaction.
He was cutting up with Charlie who was holding the microphone. He is so swollen here.
Did you know the Sugarhill Gang?🤔 Please Look, greeting`` s from Germany.😉
He knew he was dying. Sad!
So sad, hard to watch, but wow…he could belt it out. He knew he was in trouble, drug-wise and with the weight, I think.
I enjoy watching your reaction to music videos.
Have you heard monsters by James blunt
Elvis on a dark screen with white dots streaming down is hard to see
He looked awful. I'm still crying.
I like the Righteous Brothers version better !
It has nothing to do one version with the other. The song doesn't belong to them either, it's from an old 1955 movie, although some believe it's theirs.
How long did it take you to memorize your fake Analysis? 😂😂
Why are you reacting to Elvis? I dont think, you like him 🤣
Why do you think that?
