In a hilarious turn of events, Kevin finds refuge in the backseat, staying dry and cozy, while poor Marty bears the brunt of the rain in the driver's seat. Marty's frustration and damp appearance become the highlight of the video, bringing laughter to viewers' faces as they empathize with his waterlogged plight.

Marty, Excellent remake of the car. BUT, the even more incredible work you did was in the videograpy of you in the car driving Kevin around. We can even see the raindrops splashing off the roof. Perfection Sir!
So wonderful seeing a new Marty episode. Beautiful restoration. And a wonderful ending. Thanks Marty.
Been missing Marty over here in west Texas, good to have him back
Oh my goodness, finally my model get restored🎉😂😅😊❤.
That's amazing.
Wow ,the result is unbelievable.
Thanks Marty,finally you did it.
You give an other chance for an others 50 or more years.
Wonderful job.
By the way, is Dumitru not Dimitri😂.
All the best!!!🎉
how nice that you got to see it restored finally I was wondering whether some of the people who donated cars still watch the videos I agree it was a beautiful restoration generous gift in the first place. Best wishes from Brazil.
Yeah, really enjoyable seeing the model I sent,if i am not wrong, 2 years ago, being restored is kinda cool.
And was challenging though, he had spares ,otherwise will be more hard to do it. The result is amazing.
Thanks Dumitru, I couldn't of done it without you!! Hugs to you :), Marty.
Thanks Marty, all the best for you and your family. ☺️
I don't think any of your regular viewers will have a problem seeing you taking apart the cars, each video. Personally, I rather enjoy it. It, with the commentary, is very relaxing and enjoyable, as far as I'm concerned 🙂
LoL 🤣
Kevin always gets the elevator ..and you always get the shaft !😂😂😋
Epic Thumbs Up !
😇❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Whenever I get onto UA-cam and I see there is a video from Marty, I know all is well with the world again.
Watched a lot of them and still love watching the basics too. 😂
I know life gets in the way but I really do miss you on Saturday mornings. I loved to start my weekend with you. Anyhow, thanks for the great video!
Thanks Paul, you are right, life does get in the way. I'm slowly getting on top of all of the other things that I need to do so I should have more time to dedicate to this hobby as time goes by. All the best, Marty.
Triple thumbs up. Thanks.
Lovely job Marty. No muggy weld needed on this job and you got to ride in it afterwards 😁
The legend is that those toys were so comlicated to assemble, that they started the production in 1912 when this was still a new car, but were only able to release them in 1964.
Turned out beautiful Marty
compliments for the special effects that make you channel unique
I love those Marty and Kevin bits. :)
It's not boring, Mr. Marty, It's comforting and at times exciting when parts go flying. Thank you for the Video!
Always worth the wait. Cheers Marty... Take it your keeping Kevin away from the Chicken's !! 🙂
Thanks Marty, another great video
Yeah. Admire the end sequence. Very acceptable model filming.
Great job Marty 🤗👍👍👍 thank You for sharing ⭐
Thank you Marty! Great restoration
Another great restoration! Thanks!
BRAVO! BRAVO! 10+ Acting, film work, and the makeover was beautiful. Thank you all!.🫡👍
That ending though!
Stunning model
Great work Marty, nice job on the cab straightening it can be a bit of touch and go with diecast. A perfect colour match. All the best cheers Chris 🚗🍻👍🏻🇦🇺🇦🇺
Great restoration Marty, top class 👌
I’m sure you’ve heard this before but you have a very pleasant voice and demeanor. Drinking my morning coffee and watching your videos is a great way to start the day.
I think it's kind of funny how you UA-camrs always think your content will be boring if you show things that get repeated regularly. But those "boring" things are why we tune in. 🤠 Very cool video! Not dull at all!
❤WE WANT KEVIN!🐨
Brilliant restoration, and fabulous ending! just loved how you got the raindrops on the model's roof! I think I too can say, I'm happy with that 😁
This was an amazing restoration! Great job! I love the extra bits that you put in there with the chickens and showing us a bit of your daily life. As always, your green screen work is freaking awesome! So much fun and so well done. Glad to see you back!
Well Marty, you cracked it again, or un-cracked I should say. What a little beauty, and the car's good as well lol. If I had tried straightening that cab it would have ended up as convertible. Thanks again for a brilliant video. P.S you are never boring Marty.
Very cool model, very cool video.
Amazing restoration! The fact that you were able to fix the lean in the cabin blew my mind.
This is a beautiful model, and a great episode, your special effects are getting much better as well
Thanks for the comment just for your info when viewed on the video editing software ( Adobe Premiere ) the rain was torrential! - Somewhere during the conversion to a UA-cam compatible format the rain effect was lost! :( - Quite dissapointed about that as the last scene took around 12 hours to create!!
@@MartysMatchboxMakeovers Watching it on a bigger screen at full resolution I was able to make out the rain effect. Also the splashes on the roof. Pure gold.
ILM has nothing on Marty and Kevin! 👍
Wonderful job on the makeover. It's good to see you are well and healthy, and I'm hoping that your lovely wife Julie is also well and healthy. Thank you for the video. Can't wait for the next one.
Your special effects are great. I like the dissolves and cuts during restoration, too. As always, it's wonderful to see you, Kevin..and the chickens. Aloha!
I appreciate Marty showing us even the "warts" of his work. Gives us a good example of what not to do. And, the final result looks so very good.
I'm a plastic scale modeler myself, and have had some troubles with primer and paint incompatibilities.
A stunning restoration! And I loved the driving sequence at the end.
Looks great.
Fantastic model, a great restoration. Loved the local drive at the end! How did I know where Kevin would be riding? By the way, the Packard sounds like she's got a fouled plug on #3...... 8^) Cheers Marty, and Hi to Julie. PS re the headline in the spray booth - personally I think quite a few extraterrestrial aliens have been living in SF for some time now......
Excellent !
Well done . Its great to see quality content. I love the movie at end. Great. Thanks
What an awesome beautiful homestead you have, you are very blessed and talented. I had several Models of Yesteryear when I was a kid in the 60's but I didn't have that one, it is very charming. I very much enjoy your videos seeing many of the Matchbox cars I had and watching you restore them.
Nice to see another episode so soon. Winter coming by you. Stay worm.
Such a fantastic restoration, the model looks better then new. Your right about the colors, they really just catch the eye nicely. Glad to see your doing well, enjoying that country air I bet. Thanks for filming this for us, I am looking forward to more amazing makeovers in the future!
I own this one beauty !! In excellent condition and I am so proud of it..And six other ones ...Had original paper "Matchboxes" ,but lost them ,sadly..
I think is one of your best refurbished models yet.
On the doors of that fine car is the family crest of the first Earl of Matchbox, Duke of Diecast - what else...?
Nice to have you back again. I really appreciate your work and your bravery in going the "rough way". I have a battered Superking excavator that I found near a former playground, I really like to send it to you...
The Chat GPT description is marvellous, but I'm also a little frightened by the omnipresence of this new AI. It has a slight flavour of Skynet... but as long as it's the description only and not the restoration that is made by AI, I'm - to use your iconic words - happy with that.
Yes!...the Chat GPT takes a couple of seconds to create some masterful text when given a short precis of what is required. - Scary!
Brilliant restoration Marty. the car looks fantastic.
Remarkable transformation! Brilliant work. 😊👍👍👏👏
Good work Marty😎😎
So, good. Thanks, Very much enjoyed it.
G'day from Cux 👋🏼
Restoring veteran cars is always an immense job, no matter how big they are... 😆 This one is a real masterpiece 🤩
With all those "cracks" I wouldn't have thought the passenger cabin could be straightened out. You did it
🌟👍🏼🌟 (good onya, mate 😉)
Looking at the end result....
WOW (or, to quote a mate from downunder: I'm happy with that 😁).
The icing on the cake is the joyride with Kevin.
(priceless 🤣)
Marty, I'm thrilled, clearly both thumbs up from me for this 👍🏼👍🏼 Thanks so much for sharing 🙏🏼
Keep up your awesome work, mate 😃
To you, Julie and all the team behind the scene have a bonza weekend and stay safe and sound. Special shoutout to Australia's most koalafied ambassador,
"Sir Kevin of Diecast" 🐨
Greetings from the lighthouse end of the Elbe River.
😎👍🏼🇦🇺✌🏼🇩🇪👍🏼🤠
Great video and a beautiful model. I loved the road test.
Thanks for all your efforts...a joy to watch😊
Finally made it to the end of this restoration. Life has conspired against me this week and i have tried to watch the video to the end about 5 times. Glad i stuck it out and get to the end eventually!!!!
Glad to see you back. Hope you are doing well..
7:30 am here in Maine. Sunny, summer like & Marty's Matchbox Makeovers is the cherry on top. I have a fresh coffee & am very thankful for this posting.
Like the interlude with the 'chooks', great restore!!
Had a connection moment… have a book on Lord Montague’s antique car collection at Beaulieu… I think that’s his arms! Would be a very insider joke on the part of matchbox if it turns out to be true… cheers! Have really enjoyed your videos for a while now! Especially the “news of the world” newspapers you line your paint booth with!
Good to hear you’re future-proofing your channel one rivet a time Marty! Equally at least you know you can fall back on your side hustle as a chauffeur for Kev 😂
What a result though. Top notch resto and a lovely outro 👍🏻
Beautiful restoration Martin looks fantastic well done 👍
Dear marty. This is a very beautiful restoration. Thanks for sharing.
Just another amazing video. I have never seen that Matchbox car before. What a beautiful restoration. Thank you for all your hard work and please keep it up.
Beautiful, great job Marty! Your videos are always so fun and peaceful to watch (though of course we see the problems, frustrations and the unexpected issues that you regularly deal with - and overcome!)
I do not get bored at all by the same steps. It's part of the journey!
WOW - your experience and skill resulted in a home run with this one. Love the editing at the end, with the bonus rain shower - smashing! Well done, Marty
Super 👍 👍👍
Bloody lovely Marty! Amazing effort 😙👌
Great job Marty 👍
"TS" is Tamiya's designation letters for their Tamiya Spray paints. The shield is a heraldric shield of some sort. The Montague family crest/ coat of arms had three red diamonds , but their crest didn't have the green. Packard's English cars had a red shield with a knight's helmet atop with a cross of yellow diamonds and four flowers or four iron cross shapes
the montagu crest did have green in some forms it has a green griffon included
@@pimpmydiecastsdiecastandto3176 Right, but I was talking about then not having green diamonds. Not in any crest or emblem that I've been able to locate, at least.
@@lostonwallace1396 the green isn't diamonds on the montague crest is not as i said earlier a griffon but actually a phoenix from the montague heraldic crest it is just a green splodge so not recognisable on the decal but it is clearly visable on many versions of the montagu family crest
lovely
Hi Marty great restoration. Never get tired of watching your videos. Hope your house restoration is going just as well.
That's a grand restoration Marty! Love your videos, always great to see them! 👍👍
The wizard of Matchbox conjure up another win. Awesome job as always.
It’s beautiful
Superb restoration indeed ! And thank you for the special effects that feature the pranks of our favorite koala :) :)
Never a dull video since the models are all different. Thanks Marty! Great to see your videos again!
That is stunning Marty. One of your best yet.
Brilliant! Just what I needed this evening............a master at work, overcoming obstacles and frustrations, reaching a brilliant conclusion, all presented with humor and originality............you consistently enthrall and entertain!
Great video, I never tire watching your videos, don’t change a thing. Thanks.
Outstanding! Beautiful model, great restauration 💪👍
Greetings from Croatia 🇭🇷😃
Marty, you are an absolute treasure. Aside from the fantastic restoration, the last minute of this video makes it something special indeed. Thank you for making the world a better place.
Another beautiful restoration.
The closing was great.
That was worthy Of a Short Film award Marty . That was glorious to watch and a hilarious laugh at the end ***** 5 Stars
So brilliant. Excellent restoration and excellent ending.
I had that one when I was a kid. I’m 60 now. Bahaha. Nice clean job.
Absolutely smashing video. You really out did yourself on this one.
Gorgeous outcome!
A great Restoration Marty.
excellent work.
Another fantastic job Marty.
Marty, we don't get tired of watching it over and over again. Each model poses it's own challenges, and it is good to see and hang around with you for awhile. It's as much about you as it is the cars. Good to see you. And cast
Marty, You can't blame Kevin for the Weather, At Least you did a good job restoring the Car.
I was chuckling at the subtitles/closed captions which gave ‘applause’ when the rain came on…
Excellent resto Marty! Your patience and hard work pays off with the models and the video skits are priceless!
You're The Legend 😆
I'm glad you're Marty, that you're still making models, that you're giving them a second life! All the best for you. Regards, Maciej from Poland (the guy who made a diorama of your former house for you).
I still got your model of the old house , i bought it to my new one! :)
@@MartysMatchboxMakeovers If you want, I can also make your new house and garden for you :)
Nice to see you back old fella, you left Basinggrad before I arrived in Basinggrad but that was way longer than 30 years back you wouldnt recognize it nowadays though but , loving your love of old british toy cars. keep up the good work mate.
Best beautiful project.
