- Join the concrete crew as we continue work on our biggest job of the year. Parking lots are pretty easy but it is a lot of square feet. Employees are, and always will be the biggest challenge for small business owners. It is what it is. Enjoy!

Happens All. The. Time. Bugs is just always busy.
And, It's Ryan's business. Ryan's show. He's a great guy and all that, but there are countless times he makes a joke, etc... someone goes to respond, and he just cuts them off in the editing. Go back through the videos looking for it, and you'll see what I mean. I'm not saying all the time, or anything, but you could especially tell when Ryan Jr. edited one video, it was just Ryan barking orders the whole time. Once again: His business. His show. His decision what stays in and what doesn't. I'm glad his channel is successful, and he's worlds better than a lot of content out there, but everyone has room for improvement...

Sometimes people feel the need to move on to something new. Nothing wrong with that, Marcel has proved himself to be a great worker and deserves our best wishes on his future. I'm sure he has mixed feelings but Ryan has a great crew that will fill the gap. God bless you Marcel and good luck.

@@thejoke2791 yes but that can't be spoke on by us bc we only have two seasons so far and he was so bad last season that Ryan fired him his no call, no shows were so bad it was almost disrespectful, when this season was about to start he asked Ryan for his job back and Ryan told him he would give him a chance but no more no call, no shows or he was terminated immediately
Edit: I will give him credit he did a lot better this year. His work has always been good it was just the no shows that got him last year
Could tell instantly that Ryan was surprised, Marcel is a silent, yet very big part of the operation. Victory will be fine and hopefully so will Marcel!

Most of the good trade workers are in a union getting paid with excellent benefits or have their own small business.
You're a great guy Ryan when he told you he was leaving your response was awesome. I have worked in the trades my whole life and have only gave a notice once, to one company and they fired me that same day for nothing just because of my notice so I learned real quick not to. Just the fact he thought he could tell you means you're a decent boss.
Yup same thing happened to me. Gave my notice, boss man called me up an hour after I left. Told me that day was my last. Even tho it happened, I still will always give my notice.
That's so strange, why would giving your boss the courtesy of a notice make them want to fire you?
@@KineticSymphony some employers feel like by giving your notice you’ve already checked out so they rather get rid of you sooner rather than you collect a full paycheck and slack off since your already leaving
@@KineticSymphony Although I also find it strange I can see a few possible reasons..
1. Out of spite, they get the last say and get to fire you before you’ve worked your notice.
2. Because they are nervous you are going to intentionally sabotage something before you leave.
3. Because they’re scared you’re going to make a mistake on something because you’re mentally already out he door and you won’t be around to be get disciplined.
4. You may hurt yourself and make a claim on their insurance and the kicker will be you’re not even employed anymore.
@@schecter7elite801 2 weeks notice, they fire you and you can put in for 2 weeks of unemployment and sometimes they will juat pay you for the 2 weeks. It's happened to me before..
Eric went from sleeping in everyday to being ur right hand man ! Eric and bugs r the key to ur company and of course you!!
When you walked in the house and your wife says "What a treat, I get to see you!". That's amazing and I can only pray my wife sees me this way when we've been together as long as you guys.
My wife is the same way. She usually tries to feed me anytime I come home during the day like that. It's always good motivation.

I know it is only concrete but this type of work is physical demanding and takes gifted people to really do a great job even on concrete! Great video! Having a committed team of workers is what it is all about!!!

Employees will come and go, for people need to understand that employees are looking for better options and with most Victory employees coming back! Working for Ryan is EASY MONEY! All one needs to do is come to work daily on time and if one wants to learn concrete, Ryan is always ready to take you on a tutelage adventure learning the proper way to do concrete work!! The best to Marcel! Hopefully the job works out for him. I myself would probably not leave Victory, as it's a great job, and your employer cares about his workers. Hard to find in this area, just as hard as find work in winter! Easy money, learn a trade and your boss helps you get side jobs and does offer many opportunities for personal advancement! Best to ALL THE GUYS, and BLESSINGS TO ALL and their FAMILIES.
Hows it going Ryan. I just want to start off by saying that you guys do a great job, i’ve been watching your videos for about a month now and im a big fan already. I started watching your videos on facebook and then from there I started watching them on UA-cam. To be honest I have never done any type of concrete or construction work and I just find your videos cool and satisfying. I am from Arizona and i have mad respect for your guy’s work, even if some Arizonians may make fun of you guys for complaining about 90 degress but I respect you guys for dealing with that cold weather and humidity because I sure couldn’t. If anything you should be proud to see him go with all the knowledge you’ve given and confidence! Sometimes it’s hard I’ve left a landscaping company when we were family but sadly we live in a world where money matters so I had to go to a different company and I learned a lot more so I was able to start with a different company and show what I’ve been taught! The oil field is going good Ryan I love it and I plan on moving up and saving up to open my own landscaping company god has a plan for me and my family! And he has a plan for all of you too!!
I am going to miss Marcel, but more than that, I am very happy for him! Oh no Darrel “adjusted” the brakes! The kids are doing great, fantastic! Happy parents! Thank God for the blessings.

That we don't know. But Ryan does give money to his workers, and others also. And that time he took Jr out shopping for shirts. But there's more...

Totally get you on the scheduling of appointments, I either schedule for early am or late pm, never in the middle of the morning or afternoon. If at all possible I will schedule for the weekend though.

I've read some of the comments saying that Marcel is "unloyal" because he found another job. We should keep in mind that Marcel has been a great part of the team and he's one of the most reliable employee that Ryan have. Goodluck to Marcel and he's journey.
I think it's just nature of job being 8 months or so. Not so much with loyalty because he didnt have to tell Ryan anything.
I work in a gang, I know what it's like to have no work, relying on the gang leader to come up with more work, Gladly I'm a ground worker so we always have something to do, at most we may be out of work for 2-3 weeks, but I"m not that great with money, so it hits me harder than others, my own doing......Ryan's season finishes soon and I guess Marcel had an offer right at this moment that it was hard to turn down seeing as his Ryan's work was coming to a head.....It's not the first time Marcel has left Ryan I believe, but from what I've seen from him he's a good worker and will be missed.....I don't doubt that Ryan could replace him in a split second if he needs another person, but will they be as good as Marcel? Maybe better? Who knows. That only depends on what Ryan decides.

@@kosan2875 there are bad employers who will fire you on the spot. For example I give 2 weeks and they end it today or Friday. 1 week out of work can hurt a lot if you got high expenses and your next potential paycheck is 3-4 weeks from now if bi weekly.
Better get Junior in there full time to replace Marvell on the screed board with bugs.😎

I agree on what you said about employees scheduling appointments in the middle of the day. Being both an owner and employee I also had scheduled early or very late appointments so that I would have a pretty full day of work done an even working through my lunch.
To this day, my favorite thing about you Ryan, besides sharing a name, is you saying “see you at the coffee shop” and the coffee shop is a gas station. Just so blue collar and relatable lol.
