To be honest, I thought this was going to be a quick little 10 min vlog. It was only when one of my cameras shut itself off that I realized I hade been talking non-stop for 30 mins. What can I say... I have a Denim Problem. There are worse addictions to have, I guess...
Hey man just want to say that im glad this channel exists. Its really hard to find good or really any youtube content on raw denim and its nice to kick back and watch some content on raw denim rather than always reading about it on forums.
I appreciate that! Really, thank you for your kind words.
Thanks for sharing - I'm very appreciative that you shared brands that I never thought of or heard before - I'm fairly new and seeing this gets me so excited to know I don't have to stick to Japanese brands to try!
Amen to that. There are so many amazing brand out there. Japanese are amazing for sure but it’s not the be all and end all. Thanks for you’re kind words.
@@CeeAreDee What if your significant other esp a female partner makes fun of your denim collection or even putting you down for wearing denim on denim , either make or break up a relationship you think ?
@@davidallen346 I guess if things are that fragile in the relationship then it would be time to reevaluate the situation. At the very least have a cogent discussion with the person and let them know that this is your thing and to leave it at that. Or leave.
very good, varied collection. I'm of the mind that the best denim is made around the world. I've had my Nudie Regular Alf Raws for 6 years, still pristine.
LVC/Made&Crafted/underrated
haha, I've stopped myself from buying another denim jacket because I still have a really good one in my closet, interesting to see you have that many denim jackets
Yeah. They are kinda my thing 😂 it’s too many to be honest
@@CeeAreDee I'd love to see your take on how to pair denim with denim, how to double denim, smurf out! I know a lot of other fashion channels on youtube like to say you have to contrast, light wash jeans with a dark wash jacket for example, but I love that uniform look with matching jacket and pants, I'd love to see the video you'd make about matching denim
Hooks on Swedish jacket, are were belt sits. Great vid don't envy you putting it all back.
Haha, wasn't as bad as I thought in the end. Was nice to really go through the collection and think of all the stories behind everything.
Damn dude, I was a welder for a living and u almost own as much denim as me lol. I just bought some 15oz denim I'm going to make myself a full length dress out of I can't wait to wear it in! I also do sasheiko
Haha. Yeah working in the denim industry over the past decade. I’ve piled up quite a bit. How’s that dress coming along?
@@CeeAreDee I am making a corset first to go under it. Then make a fitted kirtle dress that laces up out of it. I have some 15os raw denim, and the selvage, not sure which to use for the dress. I figure it will wear in and be AMZINGGGGGG to wear! I wear modernized historically inspired clothes. That's my thing. I am lear.ing about this denim through you, and I'm totally into it! Yassss
I have a huge collection of regular jeans. I was a welder and jeans were what I wore to work alot bc they were best for not catching on fire. My mom says my jeans collection is atrocious, but there's nothing special about it, I just love denim and wear it alot.
Love the collection and love the passion dude :)
Appreciate it! Cheers, Will.
I have a question - how do I spell that Spanish brands name who made the longer length jacket & vest? I have a lengthy torso & arms so I could use that. Also what brand is your green shirt you're wearing? Thanks! I love the videos.
It’s w-rod and I think that’s an old arm surplus shirt.
Hey! Could you write down the name of the spanish denim manufacturer you mention at around 09:00? Thanks!
wlrod.com/onlineSHOP/roots-of-denim
Here we go :)
@@CeeAreDee Thanks! Seems they are from Portugal btw, not Spain :)
Cracking video... impressive collection! Love denim jackets but I live in jeans so always worry that if I go with double denim il look like Shakin Stevens!
Haha, I just roll with it ;)
Can you post pics of the fit of the Big Joh 008s? Ive been on the fence between those and the 009s.
Here is an in depth review I did on them over on the old site :) Hope it helps. As far as I know, the 008s are a 47 like straight cut and the 009s are more of a slim fitting jean.
I love the Big John rare 008 too.
Such great jeans, right!
@@CeeAreDee bought 2 pairs.
Enjoyed that I 'm up for Momotaro, given you've got a few different pieces. And good luck tidying that up.
It was not that bad in the end. Was good to delve back into a few of the bit in there. And dust them off 😂
Really enjoyed this. Good vibes man. Good vibes 😁👍 by the way. What do you guys do for storage? Hang full lemtgh, hand folded or fold away in a drawer.
The rotation ones are hung on hooks. The seldom worn ones are folded and stacked. The really well worn archive pieces are in vacuum bags.
@@CeeAreDee thanks dude. I found one of your other videos. And another one. And another one... Love the fact your on this awesome jounrey.
@@nasaspacemanwho6711 appreciate it mate. Good to have you along.
Can you review black denim jeans please?
I will put it on the list, good thought.
What is the highest quality Japanese denim brand? I'm torn between Momotaro, Full count, Big John etc.
Ooft, that is a good question and to be honest... almost impossible to answer. It really depends on what you are looking for in terms of details and denim. Momotaro, Full count and Big John are solid options tho. Persoanlly I would be very tempted to go with the Big John Rare 008s. or 009s if you want a slimmer fit. It is hands down the best fast fading denim I have ever had and they are not too common in the West, you would be getting something quite "Rare" ;)
@@CeeAreDee what about Benzak?
How do you wear the crouch so much. Bike riding?
Yeah that will have a lot to do with it. That and chunky thighs.
Does kings of Indigo deliver to the US
I am sure they will.
When your jean collection is worth more than your apartment
Hi! Did you ever review a blaumann?
Unfortunately not. Never had the chance to wear a pair.
@@CeeAreDee received my first benzaks today - wouldn‘t have known those without you, so thanks for „influencing“!
Wondered what your thoughts are on Iron Heart (noticing that you don't have any in your collection)?
I am a huge admirer of what IH do, really. It is just that I am not much into the heavy denim side of things and yeah, they do some great jeans and other items in lighter weights, but just haven't as yet got hold of any. Sure it will come one day tho :)
What a great collection 😵
Thanks! Took me a few years but growing it slowly. :)
Edwin- and Nudie-Shop in Berlin do repair their own jeans. Got a few Bravestar denims. Can you recommend (a) place(s) here to get those fixed?
In Berlin? There is DC4, I believe Daniel does a repair service with a darning machine. Also Anna Tittel Schneideratelier on Max-Beer-Straße in Mitte do a good job of repairs. I think the Burg & Schild guys use that place.
@@CeeAreDee thank you very much. Great collection btw, , it'll make me poor to get that far ;-)
If u dont want to wash good quality jeans....I understand that....but atleast soak them and if u cant effort for them to shrink a lil, then wear them in the tub and while they dry....or just BUY A BIGGER PAIR AKA THE SIZE THAT ACTUALLY FITS YOU AFTER A WASH!! I wash my Jean's, not after every wear "unless I get them crazy dirty" but I wash them when I feel they NEED it! Norm after 5 to 10 wears.
You seem angry. Try to relax a little.
I love your videos. I’m almost afraid to ask, what’s happening with your jean’s crotch’s? Why are they always ruined? Just trying to figure out what I shouldn’t do. Lol. Thanks again for all the content! P.s. you should wear more fedoras. 😉
Haha. Going to treat myself to a new one when I hit 10000 subs. I’m not sure why it’s always the crotch that goes on my jeans. Just my body shape and lifestyle I guess.
Your prison-jacket looks like my swiss army mechanic jacket 😉 the matching pants are very comfy 👍🏻
Ah really... I was not 100% sure of the history but that was what I was told by the dude I bought it from.
@@CeeAreDee at least mine was sold as such on ... Ebay ...
I like this guy
This would be my ‘collection’ or should I say landfill busting heap minimalised and Marie Condo’d to the max. And I can’t bear to get rid of any of them. Sick.
I have a hard time parting with denim too 😂
What style is that green shirt , isn't that denim ? I found saucezhan on aliexpress it looks interesting
Green shirt, you mean the one from Butcher of Blue?
I think you are referring to the orlsow militairy shirt you are wearing
Haha, Rick, just had one of those "D'oh!" moments. 😂 That shirt is a deadstock HBT military shirt that some hippie brand got hold of and put their own labels in... Beautiful shirt!
@@CeeAreDee ahhh I could have sworn it was the Orslow shirt. I have the camo version. The buttons looked really similar as well, only there seems to be something different with the pockets so I wasn't completely 100% sure :D anyway. great shirt! The camo version is my favourite shirt ever and got me into denim / workwear / military wear a couple years ago.
I know that's not all you have Matthew. For instance I don't see the TCB Jeans you have reviewed as well as other Denims. Come on come Clean Matt. No worries Man...
😂 maybe I was wearing them ? It was among time ago. And I sold a lot of those.
@@CeeAreDee I do not recall the Specifics Sir. Chances are that you at least showed a visual appearance demonstration , as you typically do with your product reviews. Thank you so very much for the informative response. 😊 take care Bud!
Also I'm always on the lookout for ALD pieces, what size do you need? I'll let you know when something comes around!!
@rikslvdg
Awesome! I think a medium or large for jackets, 34 for jeans. Cheers brother.
OMG... you making a sucking sound every 5 seconds is driving me crazy!!! C.ANT WATCH even tho I want to! But can only take about a minute at a time before I get a head ach
Try a chamomile tea. Meditation perhaps. Stress is a killer.
What are you thoughts on visvim?
I love it! It is one brand that really manages time and again to transcend and blend high end fashion with a heritage inspiration. Issue is, only John Mayer can afford it 😂
CeeAreDee / Rope Dye I disagree, you can find some steals second hand on Grailed and eBay
What clothes rack is that from and links to it?
I like your raw jeanses
Cheers!
With atelier ladurance, when the label says made in France its made in France, when it says atelier ladurance its made in China!
@rikslvdg
Guess the other jacket is a China made one. Good tip :)
great video - thanks for sharing!
You bet! Thanks for watching :)
Nice
👍🏻
¿ No Wrangler®/Vintage Blue Bell® ? ¡ Dammit !
Not yet. But I am always on the lookout for a Vintage mj124 ;)
Super fast tempo, still over 30 min long.
Plastic coat hangers tutt tutt tutt tutt tutt ☝️
Only 1, the rest are wooden. The plastic one I keep for my sheepskin jacket and pack it with lavender to keep the moths off it.
@@CeeAreDee aww lol I was teasing 👌
