- Let’s tint my lashes at home with a color kit for your eyebrows and eyelashes that is supposed to last up to 4 weeks with incredible results. Quick disclaimer, don’t do anything that you’re not comfortable doing yourself at home. Go see an esthetician. I was going out of town for a wedding and I wanted to do minimal makeup while I was visiting my family, besides the wedding. Tinting my lashes was just what I wanted, minimal makeup for my eyes. It’s been over 1 week and all I do is simply curl my lashes with an eyelash curler and I’m good to go without any mascara. I love my mascara and honestly didn’t miss it the entire week. The process of tinting my eyelashes was really easy and the results were subtle at first. But, as soon as I curled my lashes, you can see that my eyelashes look fuller and more opaque along the lash line.

I've been both tinting and lifting my lashes at home for about 20 years. I have always used the 1000 lashes tint but might try the one you have as it looks to be maybe a little easier to apply. My lashes have to be curled (if they are not lifted) and as I have gotten older they are very resistant to curl. I have found the Rephr Eyelash Curler and it is quite good. I have also found that if I don't have time to do the lift procedure and the tint, I only do the tint because when the lashes are tinted, it adds enough body that they curl much easier. BTW, the tint worked great and looks great on you!

I love it. To me it’s no different than putting mascara on. If you’re careful and comfortable then this is great. I need to try it. My lashes are very light and it looks like I don’t have any. ❤❤❤

I've had my lashes tinted professionally, and I always love the outcome. I'm just a little afraid to do it myself. That being said, I color my own hair, so maybe I'll try this at some point. Have a great day! 😊
I do this on my own for many years and it's a lot less expensive. It's easy, just helps to do one eye at a time. It takes a lot longer, but I get a better tint and never a missed lash or blonde roots on my own with a better brand than the one she showed.

It's a game changer!
You won't have to apply mascara to bottom lashes if you don't want to and your roots won't be blonde if you paint the tint generously at the lash line. The first time will tingle, don't worry, it's just the peroxide doing its magic.

Edit: asking cause it would be great to not do makeup in the summertime and it’d be very helpful if the tint lasts a long time

I'm doing it for years. Obviously you have to check the ingredients and do it with caution. I'm using refectocil with an old mascara wand and putting it on like a mascara.
I'm accusing the spoolie side would feel a lot more accurate!
How long do you think I could leave it on? I want dark black tint! Or could I maybe do it 2 days in a row for deeper color. I’ve done tints before that were ok… but they’re never as dark as I want & my eyes always tear up so much I feel like it’s all coming off!
I think yours teared up some but how do I keep my eyes from tearing up so much? It’s all fun & games until the actual waiting starts 😂 then waterfalls!

I honestly don't know which serum she may use and if she uses one. I know that I personally use the grande brow and eyelash serums. And I hardly ever wear mascara anymore I cannot believe how beautiful I'm long my lashes are... They're just some areas that would be nice if they were a little darker but other than that that specific one works well for me.

I need to do this lol. My hair is naturally so ashy that my lashes are just invisible at the ends.
I tinted mine for the first time in June because makeup in the summer sucks. However,using my eyelash curler doesn’t laser all day which kinda sucks.
Try the Rephr Eyelash Curler or the Kevyn Aucoin Curler ... both of those are the only curlers that will curl my stubborn lashes.
I use clear brow gel as mascara if I'm doing a full makeup look for the first week after tinting.
Two questions. Would mascara make the tint fade faster? Do you need/use as much mascara as before the tinting?
No it won't, it's basically hairdye for eyelashes. Mascara use is reduced. Use it for more dramatic looks, tinted just looks more natural and defined.

I thought I blinded myself earlier omg it hurt so bad and I swear I didn't get any in my eye! My lashes do look much better tho I must say 😅

What color does the eyebrow tint turn? I wonder if it turns dark brown. I just need a little color on my brows. I wish I could find something that works!
I have medium-dark brows anyway and I use a dark brown on mine, keep it on for the full time specified and they come out great
Same I’m so scared. My natural brows are basically invisible, I’m worried even brown would be too harsh.
You can buy different colours of tint, but most of the all in one kits are medium-dark brown if they don’t specify. The product oxidizes so it darkens after a few minutes. If you work quickly and don’t keep it on for very long you can get a lighter result, I have had to do it a second time because it didn’t darken enough for my liking, now I mix it up and wait 5-10 minutes before using it.
Rectofil is the brand I have the best results with, they have blonde, various browns, black and blue black.
You can use the just for men dye it’s marketed for beards but it works great for eyebrows too just use an angled eyebrow brush and leave it on for 3-5 minutes and wipe off with q-tip and water. Hope this helps 😊

These comments are 8 months old, so I wonder if the formula has changed. I was very disappointed when I tried this. I was trying very hard to not get any of the dye gel close to my inner eyelid, but my eye started burning almost immediately after starting to apply it. sonic had to give up. I am having cataract surgery soon and wanted my eyelashes to show better without makeup. This video makes it look so easy, but it wasn't a good experience for me.

I’d like to try it because my ashy eyelashes are invisible but I’m pretty sure your eyes are supposed to be closed the whole time they process. Her eyes being all red and irritated just doesn’t sit right with me though 😂
When I get mine done professionally they make me keep them closed, I would never even think to do it this way. I would do one at a time.

To each their own. I have blonde lashes and if I don't have mascara on or tinted lashes, they are invisible. I've been both tinting and lifting mine at home for more than 20 years and never had even one little problem. Like she says in the video, you have to do what you are comfortable with. I guess I follow the mantra that the turtle never gets anywhere without sticking its neck out 😎
Babeeeees, coming for a nurse, it won’t be confortable if you have some in your eyes BUT the product is made for the eye area, so the risk of ruining your eye sight are LOW. I’ll be careful, bc u can irritate them, but just rise for a couple of minute under the water and it will be fine. Sorry if my English is not the best, I’m a frenchie girlie
