I got some tte (toyota team europe-basically the same as ford performance for toyota in europe) lowering springs that where ment to be put on the stock suspension. Got the lowered look i wanted + I'm kinda not nervous that I'm going to need a new suspension after a while with just springs.
If you drop your car, spend the extra $$$ and make sure you can adjust your camber, and toe, front and rear. And of course... alignment like Alex said. It's $90 from NTB...
The first mistake in Street Racing Syndicate is buying Eibach Drift-Drop® springs and a Koni Koilover Kit for a road race build and bottoming out your suspension, because they're two incompatible parts in the same suspension slot. Same thing happens when you try to equip both ACT *_AND_* AEM lightweight carbon fly wheels on the same car, and they somehow fit. *_...and you should have spent your spare cash after winning 30 large in your first race with Eddie's GTR on nitrous instead!_*
Blown shocks and lowering springs the proper cheap way to go :) many people are surprised by the ride quality in my car considering its not stiff and also doesn’t bounce.
Bought the Koni sport kit with H&R springs for my daily Mazda 3 sedan. They're going on this Thursday. Cant wait! My oem shocks are going bad and I've been eyeing the Koni's for a while. My Alice will also get new strut mounts front n rear and new dustcovers. She already had new control arms and ball joints. New swaybars will be next...
I spent around 6 or 7 grand on suspension alone just lower my Camaro because the OEM suspension was trashed. 20+ years of abuse really showed, glad I watched these video before hand and took the time to do it right the first time
My rookie suspension mistake was buying the cheapest name brand coilovers i could find, throw them on amd not think twice about lowering it or taking wheel gap measurements. I later realized my car sits uneven and ive yet to get an alignment. Its been like this for a year now. Halp. (This is the first time modifying a car 😭😂)
I have a 98 honda accord, I just want to close my fender gap. Not looking to be slammed or fully static yet until I get the wheels I want. Should I go lowering springs or coilovers?
Looking to get coil overs and lowering springs installed. Will I have a smoother ride over bumps if I keep the regular springs instead of the lowering springs?
Needed this video so much bro. When I began doing research into basic car mods for my daily I fell on your videos and have continued using your context as a solid reference point. I just put some coilovers on my car and threw it on the road thinking that I would be good. Didn't look into any of the other add one that build up a complete suspension nor did a get an alignment. Mainly just cuz I'm a complete beginner with cars. So thank you. My car rides springy af now and I was wondering if you could help me understand why.
If I have made any suspension mistakes, I don't know it yet... Because I learned my lesson on going overboard, or under doing, from watching others do it.
so I am not sure if someone has mentioned this but if you install some new coilovers and lower it you of course have to get an alignment done but also keep in mind that since you changing suspension geometry you may need aftermarket parts to gain a correct alignment. Ex i lowered my 2000 impreza 2.5rs only 2 inches or so and I needed new rear lateral links to get my toe corrected.
I have been hearing good things about Yonaka I would maybe choose something a lil more expensive but there isnt a lot for my car because for some reason I find accords more bad A then civics so Im kinda out of luck on that. BUTTT i am also a broke ass 18 year old lol and yonaka seems like a good choice. good qaulity and since i want to track my car I feel like it could be a good 50/50 choice what do you guys think?
Can you make a video on BC coil overs. I want to go low but not on the ground idk if I need the BC extreme lows or the regular BCs and just lower it all the way.
I drive a 1999 NB Miata.I bought "super low" option coilovers from Silvers USA thinking that I would have to thread down. Instead they shorten the body of the coilover buy sending the coilover with a smaller bottom (where the coilover mounts to the lower control arm). I still tried them on, but just the front because the rear was so small i just knew I wouldnt be able to drive my car normally. After I got them on and drove for a couple days on them I called the company (Excellent customer service by the way) and they sent me the bottoms of the coilover that I could replace on the coilover for the standard heigh that i was looking for vs what the super lows made the car sit at. So if you want your car low but not too low just make sure to ask around on how low what brand of coilover goes to the height you want to be at. The "Super Low" option on some of these $900+ coilovers will indeed put your car on the ground lol.
Tein H-Tech springs over Koni yellows was a bit harsh for regular daily driving. The car crashed over manhole covers. A pot hole a few inches deep was painful. Looked good though, and stayed pretty flat.
First car was an 2000 s10 extreme ex show truck. Previous owner did the good old cut and heat on stock springs. When I finally managed to get it out the spring was almost at a right angle😂😂😂
Best lowering springs with stock shocks for daily driving a 2019 WRX Limited? Not looking for anything crazy, just half an inch to an inch of drop to fill in the wheel gap.
On a WRX I would spend the money on coilovers and a rear swaybar. Lowering for looks is cool an' all but a full suspension set up on those cars will blow your mind. Just $1,200 and an afternoon of work (CO's are easier than springs because you don't disassemble the stock struts or use a spring compressor) will make your car so sticky you can park it on a ceiling. From the factory Subaru's have a ton of understeer because the entire engine and 1/4 of the transmission is in front of the axles= worst AWD design ever. It can be fixed with coilovers (not quite to Evo 9 status, but pretty close). New suspension will allow you to dial out the understeer by independently adjusting ride height and corner balancing pre-load via fully adjustable coilovers. So if you want to look cool, spend $180 on springs and knock your teeth out when you pull apart the stock struts. If you want to become a tarmac Samurai and double the handling and enjoyment you get from the Wrex, do what I suggest.
If you're just looking to replace old squeaky suspension on a daily driver and would be perfectly happy to keep everything OEM, is it still so bad if you just go for the cheapest option?
If my car keeps wanting to bottom out when I hit a bump is that due to my suspension giving out or what? It's stock suspension on a 2000 Camry and it just started to do this in the last 3 months
I am buying some aftermarket rims and aftermarket wheels and I want to know what type of suspension I should be buying, I live in a area with somewhat rough roads and I don't wanna ruin anything please help (I don't want the car lowered)
I just picked up an audi and put 18 inch wheels on it, it sits superhigh at the moment i want to lower it just so it closes the gap without loosing some comfort what would the best option be coilover or lowering springs? M really confused as i dnt want to cheap out or break the bank and end up with a shitty ride. All help appreciated
Definitely would suggest if possible a set of coil overs however I do not know what would fit your Audi! If you shoot us an email at shop@fitmentindutries.com we can maybe find a kit for you!
I bought dgr coilovers for my mk4 bora expecting to get rid of the wheel gap turns out I’m 10 15 mill to short what have I done.. although its still low 🙈
My first suspension setup mistake was installing lowering coil springs on oem like chocks, resulting in bouncy ride. Since I got koni yellows, I know what a real suspension is!
Lets say i may be getting a NA miata used daily. I want a sporty feel of the road with stiffer suspension with a budget under 1,000$. I dont necessarily want to lower the car that much bc of my driveway clearence so im looking more for feeling the road more. What should i get? (Assume tires are already high end sport such as Michelin pilot sport)
Rookie mistake on my end, I put lowering spring on the car, absolutely love the look of the car, however I cant dial in the alignment cause my control arms don't have any adjustment... The adjustable control arms are coming in today......
Alex i always watch ur youtube channel. Im a rookie in building cars. What suspension can u recommend me for my honda fit.. hope to get the free set of wheels. Thanks.. keep safe
Great vid! It makes a whole lot of cents, amd saves a whole lot of dollas! Working in phases to get suspension dialed in, amd payong attention to fitment. Next up bushings, sway bar(s), and whiteline roll center kit...can anyone give any feedback on megan racing parts? For a toybaru...
Suspension can make or break a car (literally)... A bad purchase (or corner cut) can make any minor divet in the road painfully noticeable lol. My buddy has a CL-S and that thing went from super comfy (OEM springs) to nauseating (after-market Tien-s).
That's one nice crowd killer opener... look at it smoking its tires, getting ready, eyeing the gathering of unsuspecting fans. It launches parallel to the group & JUST as it passes the cheering onlookers A single "Woohoo!" Is heard. It quickly identifies & locates its target in the back of the Flock. Its tail flickers & kicks, a barely perceivable rumble is emitted. Cheers turns to shrieks. ... Head drooped, peacock honks in delight.
@@FitmentIndustries I love mine, so glad I got one. At first, my father and I were at the Mazda stealership, and he goes Dave what about a hatchback, i said EWW.. doesn't look good at all. So, a few years go by, and I was running around in a 2007 Mazda 3. So, one day after work, I stopped down to a stealership, and wanted to know what I'd get as in trade in value for my car. Keep in mind I was already looking for another car, because I was to the end of paying off the 07 car, and or it was already paid off and wanted another. Can't recall sorry. So, at any rate, I stopped in, they did some number crunching for me, and I walked out of the stealership late afternoon with an 11 Speed 3. I told myself it's under warrenty I'll keep it stock. Yah!, about a month later I was buying parts here in and there. I've probably dumped over close to 5 grand into it so far. Maybe more. Up here in CT, we are over run by Subarus, and Evo's and that's all people care about at these shows. I'd love to get people more aware of our cars, but I Subaru's run the gambit. I do follow some women on instagram, that I'd love to have them model with my car. and Such, just gotta find time to hit them up and what not. I plan on getting myself another Mazda, granted the SPEED is dead.. Miata's look rad, but very underpowered, for what they look like. instagram.com/theredbaronspeed3/
Whats the name of that song damn song that was playing in the background before alex said gtr? 😅 im here searching fitment industry background songs🤦🏽♂️
I have a fiesta mk 7 (it's not an ST because insurance is expensive and im not rich) I want to lower it and get new wheels, just because I want to improve the looks a little. Anyone got some recommendations?
I had a customer at work yesterday and he looked just like Alex but blonde. Whenever he was more than 10ft away I'd whisper "Alex from Fitment Industries here"
I went wheels first personally just because I knew that once I could see what the car looked like with the new wheels and tires I bought that were bigger from stock I kinda had an idea of how low I wanted to go and such just because different brands for suspension can go lower than others! Hope this helps! 🤷♂️

A rockie mistake is doing everything single power mod before even getting stock handling suspension back.

So I looked on ur web site and you don't have coilovers for my 1995 Honda prelude can you help
I need someone to help me with my 2014 Hyundai elantra! What's the coilover you guys would suggest!?
My GTO had a full BC racing kit, Hotchkus sways, and peddlers bushings. It hugged the road and was basically a track car. Full price around 3000ish
I have a 2014 accord coupe I didn’t see any in your gallery I want to slam mine I want to do springs not coil overs any suggestions
And the wheels on it are 18x9
Eibach Springs and Kyb AGX struts 😤😤
My first suspension setup mistake was installing lowering coil springs on oem like chocks, resulting in bouncy ride. Since I got koni yellows, I know what a real suspension is!
What size would fit the 350z video plz and thank you. What happened to that series actually?
I hope that the person reading this will have a good day
You too fam. 🙏🏼

Thank you
Rookie question, I gotta completely stock 16 accord ex, with aftermarket 18inche wheels. Anybody know what full suspension is best for my car.
it’s crazy i literally just bought my suspension setup yesterday 🤦🏽♂️. Y fitment Y?!!??? but i did good 😎
Either way we’re proud of you and you should at least upload your ride to our gallery! www.fitmentindustries.com/add-wheel-offset
Bilstein shocks and lowering springs
Rookie mistake on my end, I put lowering spring on the car, absolutely love the look of the car, however I cant dial in the alignment cause my control arms don't have any adjustment...
The adjustable control arms are coming in today......
Alex i always watch ur youtube channel. Im a rookie in building cars. What suspension can u recommend me for my honda fit.. hope to get the free set of wheels. Thanks.. keep safe
Funny you just uploaded this while I was researching lowering springs
You're so informative and extremely funny bro! I enjoyed this so freaking much! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year's!
Installed racelands but didn’t get them tight, so brakes plus took them out and fixed everything then aligned it all
i do a lot of traveling on the long road and want to drop my car but using an affordable solution that will last, would coilovers be a solution?
So you wanna cut your springs , don’t have to make a video of it but I’m sure is hell guilty of doing it and regretting it.😎👍🏾🇺🇸
Do I have to replace from axle or sway bar when I add a new quality coil over ?
"Going into that apex like arton senna" 😂 😂 😂
So listen bro i heard what you said.
But could you...
😜😂😂😂
“I’m already pale...all I need is a bed sheet” dead bro! 😂
slapped some BC BR series coilovers on my tib didnt fuck with the ride height cause it was on point from out the box lol
Does Fitment Ind. offer suspension for compact trucks?
No, but customoffsets does ;)
I'd buy coilovers from you guys but you dont sell any for a 19 kia optima sx. I see you sell some for the stinger though.
It launches parallel to the group & JUST as it passes the cheering onlookers
A single "Woohoo!" Is heard.
It quickly identifies & locates its target in the back of the Flock.
Its tail flickers & kicks, a barely perceivable rumble is emitted.
Cheers turns to shrieks.

Head drooped, peacock honks in delight.
Wow the cam guy and the video man is getting so much better
saw the icon of mazdaspeed, need more videos on those cars, I love mine.
They are super underrated cars!
Hey does anyone know good suspension advice for an Infiniti g35? I’m very new to this and it seems a little intimidating
Shoot us an email at wheels@fitmentindustries.com and we can help you more!

Upgraded wheels, tires, brakes, suspension, and aero on my car. What should be the next step in improved performance and efficiency?
alignment
Why that pony at beginning sounds like honda with over 9000 rpm straight pipe ?
What honda do you know that sounds like that? I would love to see it.
@@jacobmarleyklm ricebox type r
Yeah not even close. Maybe when they were still in the garage but out in the open no way.
Microphone distortion from rapid low frequency.
Possibly the flat plane crank shelby gt350 which has a 9000+rpm redline?
Anyone had experience with D2 Racing coilovers? Looking in the RS Series for my daily

I have a fiesta mk 7 (it's not an ST because insurance is expensive and im not rich) I want to lower it and get new wheels, just because I want to improve the looks a little. Anyone got some recommendations?
Would you have to get an alignment when you put on lowering springs
I would definitely recommend it!
I took the rear perches off my rear springs on my BC to get my rear end lower 😅
I had a customer at work yesterday and he looked just like Alex but blonde. Whenever he was more than 10ft away I'd whisper "Alex from Fitment Industries here"
What's that 5 spoke rim behind your head
I like it
I noticed you guys dont have many options for protege5, as far as coilovers. At least not something that wont break the bank. Any help?
Can you DM us on IG?
@@FitmentIndustries done, thanks!
What's good about those rev9 coilovers . Need a video on them
Just learned that when you lower your car you need yo set up your end links with some pre load. Or you destroy them.
Hey bro what’s your opinion on greddy x kw on on a g35 coupe
So do i lower my car first or get the wheels first cause idk which one is more important
Wheels. If you decide to get different sized wheels you’d have to fit them with the right suspension
I went wheels first personally just because I knew that once I could see what the car looked like with the new wheels and tires I bought that were bigger from stock I kinda had an idea of how low I wanted to go and such just because different brands for suspension can go lower than others! Hope this helps! 🤷♂️
