Haven’t done a deep dive into it, but thought Pokémon Ranger always used Pokémon found on the route you fight them on. Which would make sense with how Ranger uses Pokémon in the spin-offs and anime
Ruin maniacs also use Unown... in Gens 3(FRLG in the Sevii Islands), and 4(HGSS in the ruins of Alph) and possibly other spots in the games, I only know of these examples...
Just here to help the algorithm. Parasol Lady is a class based on weather, not necessarily just rain In the 3rd gen games there's parasol ladies next to the volcano portion of Hoenn that use Numels. Sunny day/Sandstorm fit that weather theme too.
With the Rangers, from what I remember they almost always use Pokemon that can be found in the wild of the area you find them in (similar to how in the spin-offs where you can't take wild Pokemon out of their native area). One example is in Black and White, Pinwheel Forest. There are 4 Rangers there, 3 each having one of the 3 elemental monkeys, and the 4th a Herdier. That forest is one of the only places in the game where you can catch the elemental monkeys. The Herdier breaks the rule, but is most likely that Ranger's partner Pokemon.
as a long time fan of ghost type pokemon, the Occult maniac and then Hex maniac classes have always been my favourite. and yeah, as cute as the first design with the witch hat is i have to say the Goth version is my absolute favourite. My favorite interaction between NPCS in Pokémon is in ORAS where a female punk takes her friend a female ace trainer to dinner in celebration of her recently becoming an ace trainer but says that afterwards they can’t be friends anymore as being seen together would destroy her reputation as an elite and the ace trainer is incredibly sadden by this. This really helps the world of Pokémon as I really don’t remember many interactions between NPCS and some of the ones I do are kind of for the wrong reasons, like the young girl of Hammerfell who asks you to bring a letter to someone named Frank in Ballonea and it’s revealed she died years ago and is a ghost this interaction is more creepy than interesting in my opinion.
6:25 XD, also I stumbled upon a couple class in one of the games can't remember which and they had those pokemon couldn't stop laughing during the fight
I feel like a good made up trainer class for Colosseum/XD would be the Snagger, Pokémon trainers that specialize in capturing a trainer’s pokemon, like Wes and Michael. They have high level pokemon since snagging shadow pokemon is a difficult job. They always challenge you to a double battle, don’t have a specific type they use since you’re never quite sure what be the next shadow pokemon. They also use moves that make catching easier like Thunder Wave, Body slam, or sand attack.
The Aroma Lady with the Goodra is kind of cool because not only does Goodra get Power Whip, but it can also have Sap Sipper, making it the perfect training partner for Grass-types. I love when Pokemon does clever little things like that. And I always figured Breeders had lower-leveled Pokemon--and more of them--because they're looking after them and leveling them up for their trainers.

13:44 You don't really catch pokemon in those games because Rangers are supposed to only have a single partner, you calm them down and they'll temporarily aid you. Although in Shadows of Alma you can get three more partners aside from the starters and the ones you don't use stay at the Partner Farm and in Guardian Signs, Ukulele Pichu can't follow you into the past so you get a new partner by using slates pokemon sometimes drop.

Aroma Lady Thyme's Goodra probably represents cheese, it's name is a pun of gouda cheese as well as goo/dragon. Various cheeses are famed/valued for being aromatic/stinky.
4:57 The Gardevoir is kinda the outlier of the group. I think its meant to be a regular assistant, though. Helping out with the less technical matters, like bringing equipment. Psychic types do seem like the type to be used very commonly as assistants, I feel like the games don't show it that often.

I liked that in Gen V the Breeders would reset so you could grind up against trained pokemon.
Honestly a video on the Battle Frontier would be awesome. Personal favorite part of the anime, and Ash actually won it
13:44 You don't really catch pokemon in those games because Rangers are supposed to only have a single partner, you calm them down and they'll temporarily aid you. Although in Shadows of Alma you can get three more partners aside from the starters and the ones you don't use stay at the Partner Farm and in Guardian Signs, Ukulele Pichu can't follow you into the past so you get a new partner by using slates pokemon sometimes drop.
the editing in these videos is top notch, especially the trainer sprites and Pokemon edited into the normal-looking backgrounds, so good
The Pokemon Colosseum trainer names try-not-to-laugh material GOLD.
(PS: Team Snagem backwards is Megans Maet. You can thank Jellopocalypse for that cursed knowledge)
The word "dig" has never been funnier.
Glad this become a series I’m really enjoying it and looking forward to the DS trainers
Who else immediately recognized the art at 11:57?
Aroma Lady Thyme's Goodra probably represents cheese,
it's name is a pun of gouda cheese as well as goo/dragon.
Various cheeses are famed/valued for being aromatic/stinky.
I was waiting for the painters thing to end with something other than Smeargle for some reason
Kindler's tend to carry a water type or two in order to control the fire, don't want it getting out of control after all
That Battle girl form X & Y is in a Judo stance. I can't tell how thick her gi is but blue is also a Judo color.
I love the cameraman from sw/sh. He just looks so depressed and I just want to give him a hug and make his day a whole lot better
10:19 That "Campire" dude looks like Volo from Legends Arceus...
4:57 The Gardevoir is kinda the outlier of the group. I think its meant to be a regular assistant, though. Helping out with the less technical matters, like bringing equipment. Psychic types do seem like the type to be used very commonly as assistants, I feel like the games don't show it that often.
2:31 live slug reaction
I definitely want a pokemon game that gives you the ability to get trainer classes that can effect the way you battle.
did anyone else notice that the subtitles got completely borked up when the tokyo treat and sakurako ad started? looked like they were from a completely different part of the video
about the painter class, I believe there is one singular painted in X and Y that uses.. smeargle
Iirc, it was on Route 4, wasn't it? Near that sort of battle castle or whatever it was.
Video idea: in celebration of oricorrio being released in POGO, a video about those birds who type changes depending on the nectar they drink. What would the connection be for the flower to affect the specific type. And what would oricorrios for other types look like/feed on?
@11:57
man of culture as usual
HEY I KNOW THAT FLASH ANIMATION
@@swallow_skyla3602 a fellow degenera.. i mean cultured individual
1:54 wasn’t expecting that
9:24 did you know that team snagem backwards is Megans meat
Almost spat out my drink with TEAM SMEGMA
_"Team Smegma"_
Wait, what?? 😳
_"Team Snagem"_
Oh, that's better... 🤣
Never expected to see the Live Slug Reaction meme here of all places… lmao
