Hisuian Lilligant seemed weird at first, but its stats and couple with the ability Hustle and the move Victory Dance can turn it very powerful if used correctly.
Being a big Lilligant advocate for four generations, noting how it got so little attention since its debut, a whole new form and a BOSS FIGHT was spectacular! As a side note, I believe Lilligant’s line may also be based on onions. Petilil has been noted as having bitter leaves that can cure things like fatigue like a green onion and is vaguely onion shaped as well as Lilligant’s head. Hisuian Lilligant then is similar to spring onions with their long shape and red parts resembling Hisuian Lilligant’s legs
I would say its normal design (and petilil) look closer to garlic than green onion based on the bulb shape and the leaves, but you have a point with the Hisuian one and the spring onion look.

Now hisuian lilligant is just as cool as it unovan form

I had a mate who was a male ballet dancer. The guys would always pick on him for a bit until one day he showed us his legs. They were muscular as hell, covered in bruises and even a scar or two. It was quite terrifying. He didn’t even have to use his legs as much in performance or practice as the ladies, he just worked the hell out of those legs. During the summer we watched him axe kick a thick piece of wood. He didn’t break it, but he cracked it really badly. It broke on the third kick. It is then when my mates and I realized that this bloke’s legs have more strength then all of our total body strength combined… but we still kept teasing him because he tap-danced too

Pure hard, pun fully intended, facts about the ballet dancers, they are intense. Before drama practice one day our director was late, so our dance coordinator warmed us up, and put us through a ballet warm up, it was the most brutal thing in my life, boot camp was a comparative joke.
To further the Oichi thing at the end where she’s against Nobunaga, Hisuian Liligant’s types perfectly counter Hisuian Samurott’s types. Grass beats water and fighting beats dark
Lilligant is one of my favorite 'mons and I'm so glad she got a cool Hisuian form that is so rooted in Hokkaido lore. She was a firm addition to my Arceus team
Would love grass/fairy type, hisuin lilligant is absolute unit and looks great with their design, as well transition from special attacker to physical attacker is nice difference
This has only a little relevance to the video, but I just wanna say I love reading the comments of people who love Lilligant and have loved it since day one. I love how every Pokémon is someone's favourite. Someone's favourite Pokémon is Lilligant, someone's favourite Pokémon is Bidoof. Someone's favourite could even be Crabominable. I just...I just love people and I love Pokémon, and I wish Pokémon were real with all my heart because of the way these silly creatures bring everyone together. 💖
The effort and research you do for your videos are so impressive that it makes me respect Pokémon more than I used to because every Pokémon has multiple inspirations and refrences to history. Also side noted after I completed the story in legends Arceus and attempted to beat Volo. I kept losing because my Avalugg was so useless, heck it was at level 87 with a plus special defense nature, and still got one shot by Garchomps Earth Power because he had a whopping 98 special defense. It got so bad I brought my highly underleveled Lilligant who ended up doing more in the one fight than What Avalugg did for me the whole game. After that, she easily became of of my favorite Pokémon.
I like the fact that loggstin is making mentions of Pokemon conquest more often because it's a real gem of a gem of a game, though it does take long to 100% it so keep this in mind this game will take hundreds of hours to complete even if you're dedicated.
Unovan Lilligant is one of my favorite Pokémon. Sleep Powder -> Quiver Dance -> Quiver Dance -> Own Tempo Petal Dance spam destruction. Throw in a Metronome item for a scaling damage boost as you spam petal dance. Become unstoppable. OHKO Pokémon that resist your attacks and have good defenses. Grasslight. Gatekeep. Girlboss.
The figure skating reference with H Lilligant’s feet make sense! If you see the newly released alt art of H Lilligant in the TCG it has them ice skating!
I can also see mints calming people with it's bug repelling properties. Spearmint and peppermint are good for fleas, spiders and flies. Catmint, which is related to catnip, also repels things like aphids, beetles and mosquitoes.
It blows my mind how much detail, reference, and research can get put into some of the Pokemon designs and growth. Being a Grass trainer, I'm so glad that kind of thought went into a member of my favourite type.
A bit of dance history regarding ballet. Ballet shoes evolved over time. First, dancers wore heels in order to make them look taller. Then came the concept of high leaps to give the illusion to flight (There was a time they used some type of rigging to have the dancers "fly" like in circuses). Modern ballet shoes and pointe shoes didn't become a thing until some time in the 19th century (If I remember correctly, it's near the middle of the century just before the Civil War).
Lilligant, especially its Hisuian form, may also be based on alliums (onions, garlic, leeks... those sort of long-leaf-and-bulb plants). Hisuian Lilli especially resembles Allium ochotense (the Siberian onion) with its pink-gradient legs; said onion is _very_ important in traditional Ainu cuisine and medicine. They also made starch from Cardiocrinum cordatum, a flower in the lily family, so a Pokemon embodying both plants is fitting. As a bonus, A. ochotense was originally thought to be a subspecies of A. victorialis, or the _victory_ onion. As in, Victory Dance.
Ice Skating is also a hell lot more dangerous than ballet, given you risk tripping and slamming head first on ice or risk cutting someone’s throat with your feet! Yeah, ice skating is intense!
For a while I thought H-Lilligant was wearing straw boots, as it's stated that it's legs were meant to allow it to traverse snowy terrain, and I still believe this is partially the case. But I really like the figure skating theory behind it as well.
I've been a Lilligant fan ever since I used it in Black and White. Seeing this awesome Pokémon with an even more awesome form AND an entire Boss Fight dedicated to it blew my mind!
Very honest attempts at pronouncing Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's name. I respect the effort of trying and not just cutting to a text-to-speech bite instead. Also, out of curiosity, would anyone happen to know the name of the background music playing during the "Lilligant=Oichi?" part? I've tried finding it myself, but I can't seem to find it.
You forgot one key factor about Hisuian Lilligant. It adapted to live in snowy mountains, so ice skating could be an ability it gained due to Hisui's cold climate.
i'm just glad i can care about it now that it has actually good typing and stats. should be a fine addition to sun teams with chlorophyll and solar blade.
I always thought because of how both versions of liligant's (particularly the original) head flower petals were shaped, there was some possible connection to the netherlands because the petals shape and patten look very reminiscent of the wooden shoes associated with the netherlands. Don't know if there is any reason for the connection but I like to think that part of the design was intentional.
Nice video like always!! Ballerina is REALLY hard to do. The diet to keep the figure so your toe didn't break even more, the knee pain from jumping, not to mention you need to look elegant while feeling the pure pain on your feet to the point it feels like nothing (pun intended).
02:48 I am literally a bus ride away from Little Tokyo LA which has stuff like all kinds of Japanese snacks, an udon place, a ramen place, a taiyaki stand and a grocery with spicy tuna onigiri, this does _not at all_ appeal to me.

Lilligant is one of my favorite 'mons and I'm so glad she got a cool Hisuian form that is so rooted in Hokkaido lore. She was a firm addition to my Arceus team
People keep crapping on pokemon designs, forgetting that a lot of them has so much detail and real world referemces and research behind them
Yeah I know right? I always look deep into their inspiration of their designs what they're based on.
Grass type pokemon are so great! Venusaur is my favorite, hope it gets his own video
Breloom and lilligant are my two favs and I agree, she is tryna steal his thunder
Liligant is my favorite regional form for Legends. She's just super pretty and fits her theme!
I liked it because I love Luminous Arc. Man, that series reeaaally takes me back
Unovan Lilligant is one of my favorite Pokémon.
Grasslight. Gatekeep. Girlboss.
Small thing, but I'm really enjoying how these hisuian form vids also explain the original forms as well!
I love how Hisuian Lilligant takes from all kinds of origion
Artists of the 34th rule will do some impressive things with this new muse.
That explain why her scent is invigorating instead of calming. She's spicy!
Ice Skating is also a hell lot more dangerous than ballet, given you risk tripping and slamming head first on ice or risk cutting someone’s throat with your feet! Yeah, ice skating is intense!
Lilligant was the MVP of my PLA team. I loved it
For a while I thought H-Lilligant was wearing straw boots, as it's stated that it's legs were meant to allow it to traverse snowy terrain, and I still believe this is partially the case. But I really like the figure skating theory behind it as well.
i'm just glad hisuian lilligant exists because mine, named pirouette, helped me not accidentally KO dialga before i could them
09:03 Ah, Inboxdollars. You gave me my love of this song. Thanks for finding it again, Lockstin!
I've been a Lilligant fan ever since I used it in Black and White. Seeing this awesome Pokémon with an even more awesome form AND an entire Boss Fight dedicated to it blew my mind!
The research and effort that goes into these videos is incredible! I'm also glad that a mon that felt quite filler for me got a cool new form in hisui
Find it funny that in PLA, my Alpha Lilligant is only about as big as my starter Decidueye.
Well, an alpha of a pokemon that's 4' isn't going to be enormous
Hisuian Lilligant is perfect, I know because she is the thing that defeated Giratina for me
Very honest attempts at pronouncing Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's name. I respect the effort of trying and not just cutting to a text-to-speech bite instead.
Also, out of curiosity, would anyone happen to know the name of the background music playing during the "Lilligant=Oichi?" part? I've tried finding it myself, but I can't seem to find it.
Hisuian Lilligant is such a breath of fresh air.🌸🌸🌸
My favourite hisuian form just before decidueye.
@man with a username I wanna like overquil but... No yeah they could have made it better.
@man with a username sneazler and typhlosion look good.( yeah not allot of people like sneazler but poison rouge wolverine does not look bad.)
You forgot one key factor about Hisuian Lilligant. It adapted to live in snowy mountains, so ice skating could be an ability it gained due to Hisui's cold climate.
YO IM WATCHING THIS AS OF THE TEAL MASK DLC AND HISUIAN LILLIGANT ICE SKATES AS ITS WALKING ANIMATION
I just thought that hisuian lilligants feet were suposed to be lotus feet but now that I think of it ice skating makes a lot more sense
i'm just glad i can care about it now that it has actually good typing and stats. should be a fine addition to sun teams with chlorophyll and solar blade.
Is it just me or is his hair getting more and more anime by the video? I dig it.
Essential oils made from Pokemon flowers would indeed be expensive 👀
Considering how you get essential oils
Lilligant is my favorite Pokémon of all time I love her 😍
The dancing is the best part.
Your dancing was beautiful, but I guess Lilligant is cool too.
