Beau I sincerely want to thank you for making these videos. This won't make sense but I've recently gone through a very tough time with something that happened in my life and am really struggling with things right now. For some reason your videos are very soothing to me and I really enjoy watching them. Keep up the good work
Aquachigger What is underneath those piles of dirt? Take someone with you next time. Excavate this piles of dirt. Bring your metal detector , they may have left something else behind, along with bones underneath those piles of dirt. PLEASE START WEARING YOUR GLOVES ALL OF THE TIME. YOU WORRY ME TO DEATH. Take care! I'm sorry to have yelled at you about the gloves . You needed to be reminded. Stay safe.👍 I enjoyed the video . Wendy 🌞 👍 🌞 🌞 👍
As a Realtor here in Michigan, I have seen a lot of old homes with basements like this. Some are old coal cellars and they get shut off to keep animals out of the house, or because they are drafty. Another thought I had was it might be an old home on the underground railroad that you discovered, which ran all the way from the South to New England, Ohio and Michigan. It could have been a room used to hide runaway slaves during that era.
There was an Underground RR homes in Malcom and Grinnell, Iowa. Our house in Malcom was a large victorian style house that had odd features. We found a 'false' wall in the basement. Just looking straight at the wall where a newer furnace had been placed, it looked like solid wall, but whe you approached the space between the furnace and support wall, there was a little room. About 3-4 people could be in there, but standing room only. Old oil lamps we found under the porch. There was a smallish glass window that came out and a person could squeeze through into the space under the wrap around porch. There was an underground tunnel that went between our house and another victorian house down the block, and then led out of town.(our houses were closest to that edge of town. The town council decided to close the tunnel by filling it in because it was beginning to collapse and some of the town kids found the entrance. They were afraid kids would get in their and get killed by a cave in. Our house had an unusual attic where people could have been up there without detection. I don't know much about the houses that were stop offs for the Underground RR in Grinnell. Town history located at city offices reference them. I believe the original owner who built our old house in Malcom was a doctor. It was built in the mid to late 1800s.
Michael Delaware That is just creepy!! The underground RR sounds logical. But it was so obvious there was a room there. Wouldn't that be a dead give away. If I let my imagination run wild. They locked someone in there with the vulture, so when the person was half dead the vulture would feed upon the person. Do vultures eat bones? How about to keep from starving to death. Ok it's about 2:30 in the morning. I'm freaking myself out. I'm a grown woman with an imagination of a kid. HA HA HA HA😮
chukzombi Forgetting about modern slasher flicks, the most scary film from my childhood is Horror Express. Genuinely hid behind the cushions. There were also a few Hammer Productions which frightened the living daylights out of me, one being The House that Bled. 😧😨
Looking at the title, usually I think, ugh clickbait. But Aquachigger is one of the most trustworthy channels on UA-cam, that I can always believe because of all the trust that has been embedded into the videos. Keep up the awesome work!
6:18 when he says that he shouldn't have opened that room, and then turns his head, I died laughing cause he looked so serious but yet he had a cobweb in his hair!😂
The historic wind storm knocked out our power in Michigan for the last six days now, the weather is freezing digits, we're cold and no way to get warm at home. But as soon as I heard you say 'is it Ricky', I laughed so hard for the first time in days! Thanks Mr. Chiggs for sharing your yt videos and humor with us! Lol!
Dragonfyre26 it's a throwback to an old video where he found a homeless camp. There was a grill with the name Ricky carved on it and he found a trash bag that may or may not have contained Ricky.
hi im tracey i have just started to watch your vids and i have to say how scary some of them are, im sometimes more on edge watching them than watching a horror film, i also think you are so funny and i love your sense of humour, keep up the good work and stay safexx
You should wear a respirator or dust mask when exploring old houses... Lots of unhealthy stuff in there! That being said, that was pretty cool and spooky. There's so many old abandoned farm houses down where i grew up and i loved exploring them (even though my dad told me not to, because of raccoons and the rotting wood)
both the canning kitchen and coal bin at the farm are like that - locking / blocked from the inside, because both have larger than normal access to the outside for any determined miscreant.
It's not my fear o encountering spirits at these sites. My fear is if they attach themselves and I take them home and have to deal with the oddities at that point.
I’d say the reason why the door was blocked off was probably to keep critters from getting even further underneath the house. You probably noticed the opening at the base of the home where the daylight was coming through once you entered into the spooky room? Also the burlap bag looked to be plugging a possible opening as well. Around the hot water heater makes a great spot to snuggle up to during the winter months.. especially for critters like skunks, opossum.. oh and of course stray kitty cats.
In that room, on the right hand wall of that right "stall" ot looked like blood or something smeared on the wall. Also, I have developed a bad habit of talking to you when I watch your videos lol! Like at the end, you had cobwebs in your hair and I said out loud "uh Chigg, you got a lil somethin there" lmao.
Sheba Wolf I did the same thing. LOL Ever since I got into creepy videos I do it. Picture this, Sitting in the living room in the middle of the night wearing headphones, You start talking to the video loud. Because your wearing headphones. You come to realise someone is in the room looking at you like your crazy! LOL I'm speechless
OK! I've just removed "Go exploring spooky old houses with Aquachigger" off my bucket list. You'd scare the crap outta me with your spooky voice overs whilst we're in there, lol. Great video, aquachigger! 👍
You REALLY should be using a respirator & mask and thick gloves for this. You could be breathing in some very nasty stuff...like Aspergillus or Stachybotris mold spores, which are highly toxic.
Its a pain room, they lock children in there to discipline them, mostly because the parents were twisted and sadistic. Look for claw marks or broken finger nails in the wood where they tried to claw their way out.
I can't tell you how much i enjoy these vids , i make a sandwich and get a glass milk and set back and watch .... It is better then any movie or TV. Keep on making them so i can watch . Love It !
Love it when you make things sound creepy....reminds me of my husband telling the kids spooky stories. The spider and the cobwebs in your hair add real authenticity! 😄
I ran that segment through my headsets and it does sound more like a distressed adult cat. But the timing of that sound and the dead crow..... that's just creepy.
The room was a storage room, for bodies. Back in the day if you died in the hard winter months they couldn't dig a grave. They stored the body of friends and family until the thaw then they could get buried. The sound at 6:06 is an animal, bird or cat.
You’re the first UA-camr I seen that explores an abandoned haunted place by himself with all your respect you have balls sir

I think it sounded more like a cat crying.
Aquachigger haha you never know!
Aquachigger

Heather Andrews yes it was a cat.
Heather Andrews I see part 2 coming here. Metal Detecting under the boards and dirt. lololol
I can hardly stand watching him dig without gloves!

Michael Delaware that crossed my mind, also
That's really interesting! I wonder if that's what it was..

Oh my god. That baby could have been the spirit of a baby that died there.
As the saying goes. "Open the cellar door, dead vultures lie and babies cry, HOLD YOUR BREATH, or you'll be no MOAR".
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
Brilliant
Hahaha, that was awesome!
Glen Pierce 😁
Glen Pierce that was great! I appreciate true cleverness!
Tell Ricky to clean his room!
Made In Canada 😂😂😂😂😂
Old basements always remind me of The People Under The Stairs. Hated that movie growing up!!!
The Protein Chef I took a girl to see that on a first date - we were together for 20 years after that.
yes it dose lol
luckily you werent old enough to remember a movie called Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark. saw that when i was 5 and i think it scarred me for life.
The Protein Chef yuppers!
chukzombi Forgetting about modern slasher flicks, the most scary film from my childhood is Horror Express. Genuinely hid behind the cushions.

6:30: "The hair is standing up at the back of neck"
Nah mate, that's just the cobwebs.
That's what I said out loud 😂
You always add that element to your videos that make them even better! Anybody can make a video in a creepy basement but you make it great! Thanks!
6:18 when he says that he shouldn't have opened that room, and then turns his head, I died laughing cause he looked so serious but yet he had a cobweb in his hair!😂

So creepy. Dark room, boarded up and barricaded... hey, that's just like my childhood bedroom.
Cool vid. I appreciate your guts. That's part of what makes your videos worth while. Stay safe!
Thats where they kept Old Yeller when he got rabies...lol...or Uncle Frank when he got rabies.
Jerry Lafferty I loved that book

Dragonfyre26 it's a throwback to an old video where he found a homeless camp. There was a grill with the name Ricky carved on it and he found a trash bag that may or may not have contained Ricky.

6:06 is when u can hear the baby. Listen closely
It's a cat
Green Log
thanks.
Guess I'm deaf. Too many concerts. I can't hear anything at this time mark.
Green Log cat
Green Log that's a cat meowing not a baby crying
The wiring and the junction box would tell it has been opened at least in the last few decades.
racer42 I thought the same thing
racer42 and why didn't he see what kind of can was on the floor?
Lisa Cook You mean the Budweiser can? lol
Bill Rohane I guess, why is that funny?
Bill Rohane if it's ancient I would check out the can. lol. I guess this is BS.
You sir. Are a lad. Your videos both inspire me and educate me on a daily basis and I just wanted to say thank you bud
Beau, you should bring your metal detector around their yard and see if you find some old coins or trinkets!
The house is a treasure I love looking at the early construction methods of old places.
More like Aquabigballs.....Wouldn't catch me in there alone.
Philip two years late but AQUABIGBALLS 😂
An OLD OLD house. Wish we could've seen more. Love the old door all handmade blocking that area.
Definitely a cat. You should go back and try to find it..poor thing.

I listened closely and heard a cat meow right before you asked what the sound was.
You always know how to add a "spooky" aspect as you whisper. LOL! Too much, Beau. But I love it.
Aquachigger the Ghost Hunter
I finally realized who he sounds like especially when he whispers.... Eric from Trueblood!

"they must have kept something alive in here" - yup: spuds.
peter koller and maybe the rocks was to keep out animals.
both the canning kitchen and coal bin at the farm are like that - locking / blocked from the inside, because both have larger than normal access to the outside for any determined miscreant.

Kynsi Hundson thanks for the correction. looked like a dead crow to me lol
I hear it now, but its very faint.
Someday I want a compilation video of ever Rickey reference from your vids. LOL Good stuff! Love watching and learning from your videos.
I expected Geraldo Rivera and his camera crew to be waiting for you inside there.
That was awesome... I've been in a few abandoned old buildings too, always a thrill especially if you are by yourself. I never go at night though.
Did you clip the video at 4:55 ? There's a skip in there, a very noticeable one. Am I the only one that saw it? 👀👀

You REALLY should be using a respirator & mask and thick gloves for this. You could be breathing in some very nasty stuff...like Aspergillus or Stachybotris mold spores, which are highly toxic.

Stan Barrett Hahahaha dieded!
Another excellent adventure you've taken us on.
Its a pain room, they lock children in there to discipline them, mostly because the parents were twisted and sadistic. Look for claw marks or broken finger nails in the wood where they tried to claw their way out.

You found crazy Uncle Ricky's hide-out!
Too late Beau......it's following you now...👻
I think you are a gifted 'Story Teller'.
I was just watching your abandoned house videos from 9 months ago when I got the alert that this was uploaded... creepy.
I ran that segment through my headsets and it does sound more like a distressed adult cat. But the timing of that sound and the dead crow..... that's just creepy.
A baby's laugh is really cute, unless it's 3 o'clock in the morning, in the dark and you don't even have a baby!! 😱😰👻
The room was a storage room, for bodies. Back in the day if you died in the hard winter months they couldn't dig a grave. They stored the body of friends and family until the thaw then they could get buried.
The sound at 6:06 is an animal, bird or cat.
keep up the great vids Beau.
sometimes in old upholstered chairs, if you slip your hand down between seat cushion and back, you may find something interesting.
Ricky!!! he was right behind you!
great video one of my favorites yet
