On top of the information about the leaks, Kane Carter + co released a substantial document providing evidence that the participants of "The Pear" would frequently utilize hateful, misogynistic, homophobic, transphobic (unfortunately the list kinda just keeps going) language. This is obviously reprehensible, but I didn't see it fit to include it in the video. A lot of that content would not have been able to make it into the video uncensored anyway, and frankly, I think The Pear's actions regarding Kane + the other fangame developers they betrayed is more than enough justification to be furious at them. However, if you needed _more_ reasons to be upset, the language they used is certainly abhorrent and unacceptable. On top of this, I was made aware of a lot of things regarding Ultranite's past projects that are quite concerning. However, these things weren't relevant to the issue at hand here. I don't intend to follow up on these things; as I said at the end of the video: IGNORE THEM. That's the best way we can defang the threat of their blackmail dropping - show them that we won't even notice, and that it won't impact those games whatsoever.
It’s a shame how far someone can go without thinking they’re doing anything wrong, when they’re risking everything and even some of the extremely hard work developers have put into their games. The fact that everything could be leaked in a few seconds is just scary. The games connected to the Fanverse do not deserve this and the same goes for other innocent developers out there. I’ve heard that some were forced to release images of their game in fear of them being leaked.
pictures of Scott's kids and a recording of his wedding? disturbing how the internet facilitated access to private information, it makes me sad and angry
Yeah... and mind you, Scott was one of the more pulled back dudes in the internet. I remember back then, we barely had a picture of the dude. Or at least that's how I saw it. Damn...
As a data hoarder this was really sad to learn. Archiving things is a power to be used for good, not evil. And especially not for such childish and petty evil at that
@@jacobc8036 many many hours of searching through pages upon pages of anything related to what you’re archiving. And depending on what you’re saving, many terabytes of storage. Some of the good can be things like providing references to old projects for friends working on things related to the old projects. Or helping establish a timeline of historical events in a community. Having backups of peoples’ works if something happens to the original so they don’t have to start over (what happened with Toy Story 2 for example, although that wasn’t as much data hoarding since it was an employee who had copies of the original files) Theres many good things that can come out of storing files!
There's also private servers for discontinued online games. Phantasy Star Online (for Dreamcast, GameCube, Windows, and Xbox) is the definitive example, but a near-fully-funcional one for the mobile game Sonic Runners is one I personally make use of, as well as Wiimmfi which aims to reproduce Nintendo WFC as a whole.
I've personally had problems with Mechlus for quite a while, but I'm very disappointed in the other two. They always seemed so nice... Shame that this has to always happen...
@@undyingt3r0r I hope I don't sound biased when I say this, but Bull. Sh*t. Just look at the screenshots. No way in heck did they actually intend on just collecting these leaks.
Man. I can only imagine how pissed off scott is with these individuals when his children's photos got leaked. He's a patient and kind man, but messing with the children of such a good soul is the #1 way to bring hatred from said soul. I hope he doesn't have a quiet, burning hatred for the fnaf community after this; it is DISGUSTING to leak photos of a children. I think this 'pear' group is ridiculous. I'll play all of these victimized games regardless of any leaks.
Yeah. It's infuriating. I imagine Scott was like "yo - you can come for me, but you do _NOT_ come for my family." I compared The Pear to a bunch of kids LARPing as a mafia, but _even the mafia_ don't go after family members. That's unacceptable.
@@theftking That depends, if it's business well business is business, but god help you if you hurt one of the children, they have this sort of understanding where they all hunt you down torture and kill you on camera. Sort of like the cartel 😊
Reminds me of the time when Scott was revealed to been donating to republican parties and people have been exposing his family's addresses and stuff. Its one thing to have an issue with Scott, but its a complete other thing when they're exposing sensitive information, ESPECIALLY OF HIS KIDS WHO HAVE DONE NOTHING WRONG. Why cant the fandom leave those kids alone!?
How about this, when creating a game, create a crappy version of it that has the soul intent of messing up the computer whoever downloads it, then place that in a obvious folder that will get any doxxer's attention to grab it and leak it, it's like putting a Nitro Crate in a Aku Aku Crate in Crash Bandicoot, they think they got your game but it's actually not the real one, while they grab that one you continue working on the real one on a separate computer. I call it: "I'll heard 2 of every Doxxer on a boat, Then I'll beat the crap out of them." Not sure how it will mess it up, but I think that it will download the same picture over and over again very fast to flood the memory so they cannot download another leak again, a password will be good to get it to stop and deleat itself so when they finally stop stealing you can heal their computer out of mercy.
This makes me so sad yet angry. The fact that these people targeted numerous gamedevs with the malicious attempt to leak all of these fangames is beyond disgusting and inhumane. I just know that after the controversy has settled down, fnaf gamedevs are going to be more secretive and less trusting towards anyone that wants to genuinely help them.
I feel mostly for Kane, dude just wants to get his game done and polished ASAP and I follow his GameJolt page, he's an amazing and passionate guy. I seriously the people who try to do this kind of behaviour actually realize what they're doing is WRONG. I hope Kane gets this sorted, dude shouldn't be treated like this... ever
Sadly its common, in alot of arts we have specific things to encrypt files when sent to companies that make meshs non usable so they cant just... run with it an claim someone else made one really similer, i cant imagine how much further ahed this industry would be without having to fight humans greed instinct.
Definitely agree. I'm honestly furious about all of this. Looking at this situation I will be more cautious with these people. I feel so sorry for Kane really.
Beyond disgusting and inhumane? Chill out with those words. Terms like those aren't something you should use lightly. Because of a fangame leak, you're acting as if you've just witnessed a crime? Get a grip dude, it's only a game.
@@traionjones711 True, but these projects had a lot of ambition towards them. I was excited for Chomper’s, and to find out that not only that it's been canceled, but also finding out that the creator of the project is a total scumbag, hurts.
@@traionjones711 Yeah, but look at scott's game. Pretty much the same little game, yet look how far it got him cuz of merch and trends. And these aren't fnaf 1 level fangames anymore, these are like real, high quality indie games.
This reeks of the actions of a small group of children being petty for the sake of it. What a horrible way for two products of the Fanverse to end. Chomper's and Jr's were the games I was most hyped to see released in full, and it pisses me off as a fan of the franchise to see these labors of love forced to end like this. I'm glad that Jr's will seemingly at least get released, but there will be no chance for that world or concept to be built upon.
I was super excited for Chomper's, really sucks that just one person wanted to screw everything over. Super nice of the devs to at least put out a demo and release some artwork/model images for people to see, showing what could have been
After seeing Ultranite’s apology I 100% agree that it does not feel any honestly. After what he has done from making leaks from Scott and Kane Carter, and the suddenly blackmailing Someone it makes total sense why people should be angry about this. I don’t think I will ever see something so very insulting and untrustworthy in my whole life. And the fact that this guy was making something we were all hyped for, then suddenly did all of this to the people he worked with is just so sad especially since they been friends. It’s such a shame of Ultranite who we thought was someone we thought was talented turned out to be an extremely insulting human being.
he reminds me of someone i know, a piece of sh*t too, apologies are useless if you don't work on yourself and show improvement, dude's prob a piece of sh*t and i'm certain he acts like him too, it's blackmail..

I was originally against you covering this topic but you actually managed to present the information on this subject really nicely, Still can't believe all this stuff went down
You shouldn't jump to conclusions. Plus, if you criticize someone over a video they haven't made yet, it's super easy for them to deliberately address your concerns and make you look foolish. I've always just presented information objectively. Sometimes that means airing dirty laundry that is inconvenient for some people. It's nothing personal though - it's my job. I maintain that our community is _better off_ with this having gone public as quickly as it did.
It's amazing how almost every single time I think to myself "wow, I haven't seen drama and overall negativity in the fnaf fandom for a while, this community really has grown up" someone just shows up doing something bad or even outright absolutelly fucking disgusting to show me how messed up the bad side of the fandom is. My God, what the hell is wrong with some people?
@@littlelady9801 Same to me. I didn't even get a whiff of this until Kane made a Gamejolt post, and I randomly found this video. I'm so glad I did not see any of the leaks.
You want to know one of the most interesting things about this drama? That no other company will let their fans near their biggest works, like Mario or Pokémon, even with a 30-foot pole. I have a feeling that many companies and owners of other big works were looking at this to see if maybe the fans could do it. But endless drama that is coming out of it has probably made it clear that the fans of these games and works just have huge drama. I doubt we'll ever see another fanverse initiative from any other work, ever.
The actual reason is just that those are Japanese game franchises and copyright is just taken very seriously over there like to an almost stupid degree lmao
I highly doubt other companies are looking at this situation. Maybe in your head they are. But Nintendo does their own thing. Indie games isn't really where their interest is at. Big game companies in general are doing their own thing. None care about this small community situation
@@Goku-fn3qd Just hope that things don't escalate. If the fan games burn, the innocent people who worked on the game hard will also suffer consequences, like the video mentioned
@@tranminhnguyen6217 Just understand how dangerous these people are. If they did this over a *FAN GAME* i can’t imagine what they are willing to down the line. These are probably people would sell info on the dark web or hurt someone ngl
As an outsider to all this; this was a remarkably petty, dumb and useless action on the part of the "Leakers". Like, not only has a lot if not all of your info a shelf life, but if your intended victims have the wrong sort of reaction to it the entire stunt could fall flat on its face even under the best conceivable conditions. But hey, even if it had absolutely no shot at causing any harm, dickishness for dickishness sake is still reprehensible behaviour, even if the jerk doing the assholery is too dumb to actually pull anything worthwhile off.
They did have a little bit in Scott’s private/family life, which is a whole “wtf” situation right there. It makes no sense (besides the aforementioned pettiness) for why they would even do this to him, considering he’s retired & mostly removed from the community now (which he has every right to do ofc). Honestly if Scott really wanted to, he can take these fuckers to court over blackmail charges.
@@gerogie51 what a load of absolute filth this situcation has dissolved into. I hope all the developers affected by this terrible behaviour are safe and eventaully better.
So here's a thing, I've never played FNAF, never played any of the fan-games, just watched people play them, but just because of the situation I'm gonna play the games that were hit by this, just to add that tiny little bit of traffic.
I wonder what they were thinking when gathering all this stuff. What's the point? What's your end goal here? Just messing with somebody's passion project? What in the world motivates people to do stuff like this, it doesn't make sense. Maybe they like the power trip but other then that I struggle to find a genuine good reason for why some people act so maliciously.
@@Tritailed-Shenanigans most based shit i've seen in awhile, ruin your entire reputation AND make waves all over the entire community leaving long lasting impact, JUST for shits and giggles, i fucking love this.
As a long time FNaF fandom veteran, my heart goes out to everyone effected by this. Ive been in this fandom since the release of the first game, and its been fun watching all of these fangame devs grow into the projects they are in now! It just SUCKS that this had to happen man. Although I will admit, it was funny reading how serious they take themselves. Comedy gold right there. The fact that they seem to be out to quote "Assassinate" Fucking FNaF fangames is god damn hilarious.
Back then : why in the name of fuck did purple guy killed those kids, what's the point? He is the Co owner of Freddy Fazbear's why would he do that in his own restaurant? Now : I think I'm understand how fucked up people can be, William doesn't seem unrealistic after all if the community acted this way.
It reminds me of when some kids who hated Gacha life announced they would “destroy” the Gacha community with a try-hard hashtag and like 3 accounts being hacked, out of hundreds of thousands. They think they sound scary and badass when it’s hilarious.
Honestly, the private chats the "Pear" had was so ridiculously 'cartoon evil' that I had to pause and wonder if the discord conversations were faked but nope! They really were just that stupid
It’s really a shame that the Fanverse, something that should have brought new opportunities to FNaF fangame developers and new life to the series as a whole, has become such a mess of controversies. You give an inch, they take a mile.
@@rawrdino7046 And the creator of said game ruined his reputation by being in a relationship with a 13 year old, so yeah, this thing was doomed after the first game.
Why is it that this community is breaking itself apart every since Scott went to slumber at his golden bear cave? Like, it's only controversy after controversy. Ironically, like a bunch of children left alone without their parent. I Honestly feel sorry for all the affected members of the community. No one deserved to suffer like this, to be betrayed like this by supposedly a close friend. I think honestly that Scott needs to step in and publicly talk. Not about this matter, but about the state of the franchise itself. How will he manage things from now on. If he will truly, and definitely, retire, and who will succeed him, or if he will step back into the shoes of the puppet master, and manage the franchise once again in a more open way. What the community needs right now is communication and direction, or else the chaos will only grow and fester.
The entire fucking fandom is a problem. When the community doxes and threatens the children of the game/fandom creator over who he supports politically, there’s a big problem. These devs are a result of the community
@@grantbarday5760 Because realistically, the fans are the ones pulling the strings. They are the ones dictating what will be a success, or what will fail. If your fanbase turns out toxic like that, the minor things will bring the entire castle of cards down. If the fanbase is strong, and healthy, they will know how to solve things like mature human beings. But since FNaF had a large young fanbase, which let's be honest, the young population these days are very, VERY mentally unstable (trust me, I know, I'm a young person), the whole thing was due to blow at any time. I will be not surprised if the same thing somehow happens with Undertale as well, because it's the very little things that make people go berserk.
Short version for people who do not want to see it all: some a**holes entered in many discord groups and collected information about several fan games, and were planning to threaten the Fnaf fanverse people with leaks so their own game could get in the project, it gets much worse of course but this is a shallow explanation, they had many more info, which could even be criminal
Right, and those leakers were the other big fangame devs who didn't get into the project. Their fangames really had great potential, man. Sad downhill.
He's all smug and confident when he's in his private servers laughing it up with his friends, but of course when confronted he pulls out the shy innocent child act so he can apologize profusely and leave, instead of actually taking any real responsibility.
remember, this all started from a small indie horror game made in less than a few weeks. it's crazy how far the series has gone, to the point sick stuff like this is a very possible thing that happens
Seeing things like this always breaks my heart. People fail to realize just how much thier actions can create a domino effect. Because of the way these people acted, devs will be more apprehensive about who they share their work with, and the community will feel more closed off. The people working under them lost months of hard work when the game was cancelled. All these Fnaf devs have had to go through so much stress over thier games potentially being leaked, and no one deserves to go through that level of headache over thier creation. I feel horrible for everyone involved, and the innocent dev teams who just got caught in the crossfire. 😪
I feel sorry that the devs of POPGOES Evergreen, Scott himself, and the innocent participants of the other FNAF fan-games have had go get their hard work leaked over a group of people's selfishness, I hope they all can recover from it and I hope the scandalous people who posted the said leaks got what was coming to them, and again I feel sorry that the POPGOES team and Scott Cawthon had to go through that stressful situation
scott had it worst his wedding video was there and now his kids photos, video game leaks are one thing but seriously his family needs a break from this fnaf drama first he was doxxed because some politics bullsh*& then because of zed BS people were canceling saying " I'm gonna kill you and your family", Now their own wedding video and kids photos are leaked for Pete Sake LEAVE THE CAWTHON FAMILY ALONE FOR GODSAKE THEY DON'T DESERVE THIS BS BECAUSE OF ONLINE TROLLS LEAVE THEM ALONE. Game DEVS are real people and have families at the most part they aren't perfect as a lot people want them to be we just need to leave them alone and let them live their lives as we live ours. the leaks alone are pretty bad just because your pissed off about someone doesn't mean you should do that extreme stuff leak their game stuff, family photos, wedding vidoes ect.
As much as I’d hate to admit, this is sadly becoming more and more of a thing in terms of creative projects as a whole. People in these positions really don’t care about who they are affecting, because they’ve already run the mile, so to speak. I’m sure we’ve all stumbled across scenarios like this, personal or otherwise. It’s easy to throw others under the bus when you have nothing to lose, as you said earlier in the video. My question is will there ever be another fanverse initiative after this? Chances are slim, but I hope there’ll be more chances. My heart goes out to anyone whose works of passion were compromised by this, or any similar situation anywhere.
I imagine there will be more fanverse opportunities, considering two of the people involved were possibly going to be invited. I imagine they can't be the only ones.
Congrats to the Popgoe's team for their resilience and perseverance, all for the hope of catching these scumbags. The idea that they went as far to invade Scott AND his family's privacy is very disturbing.
Yeah like that’s messed up even if Scott has some shady histories or actions, it’s never a good idea to stalk and attack his family. THEY EVEN WENT FAR TO STALK HIS KIDS
@@Corrinecreates Yeah actually. A "journalist" lowkey digged up info about his personal life just because he wanted to vote for Trump lmao. Tbh the FNaF community has been broken for the longest time now. Ever since the drama with Scott the community has never been the same. Half of the community left at that point then when Security Breach got released the other half of the community that remained started to shatter and fall apart. This community is pretty much just a sinking ship that people are trying to fix, but are getting drowned by the burdens of all of this stuff(especially with people like these) and it doesn't help with the day and age we're in where all of this kind of stuff is really common.
I used to be in a Discord Group with Ramenov and Mechlus. I was formerly a member of the then Fnaf fangame called Underwater wonders by Gabethewaffle (it's not a fnaf fangame anymore) so I'm assuming that's why they even let me in, we weren't nessicairly friends but we spoke a fair few times. They always struck me as really edgy teens who never grew out of their "Dark humor = Racism" phase. Eventually I got kicked out of the group because a few members didn't like me, but I'm happy that I was there for the short time I was, because now I can confidently say I'm the only person on the planet who has a picture of Mechlus face with a poorly cropped penis resting on his cheek.
this is a really crappy situation, heartbreaking to see so many aspiring devs get shafted as part of some big conspiracy, but i also can't help but giggle at the idea of phisnom making up fake leaks to share with them
I think what sickens me the most about this situation is how the people behind some of the most interesting fnaf fangames that the community were looking forward are behind all this. Before the controversy, I was really looking forward towards seeing FusionZGamer play something like JRs or Chompers.
Keep in mind those fangames are made by entire teams that mostly weren't involved, and are as much victims in this as those targeted by the potential leakers
I'm still going to play Jr's. The game is free so you aren't giving Ramenov money, there's a team behind it and I can separate the art from the artist.
Remember Aftonbuilt? How Scott had an opinion for once and said he didn't want it? Yeah, no, they said fuck you to him and treated him worse than Johnny Depp.
4:18 that's sickening, I was pretty shocked at how all of this went down because this was quoted as "what other fan games need to be assassinated". this is how people are now starting to gain trust issues because of this.
I hope that Chomper's gets revived with better hands. It sucks what happened, and you really didn't deserve to have your game be thrown out like that. :(
When community gets big enough it's only a matter of time before things like this happen unfortunately. I'm a bit suprised that it took this long for something as big as this to occur.
I wish the fnaf community would've never got like this. But unfortunately, it got so bad to the point where I had to leave it. It really breaks my heart to this day that the community decided to turn on fnaf's creator. So, if there's anyone who is truly still a fnaf fan I implore you to leave the fnaf community. It's okay to still be fan but not align themselves with the community. I know I'm not the only fnaf fan who feels this way. I know there are still good people who are fnaf fans.
@Tori yeah but I'm fairly optimistic that there's other fnaf fans such as myself who want nothing but peace amongst the fandom. I know dawko will always still be fan but not align himself with the community so that's very reassuring.

This wasn't anger. This was spite. I'm only a partial FNAF Fan and I only "play the game, not make the game" and I can't honestly comprehend the amount of time, energy and rescource you game devs require when working on your own games. So when Scott rejected the Chomper's game, I can only imagine how harsh that punishment was. It's just unfortunate that a handful of 'innocent bystanders' had shared with him...
@@hovac. im not entirely sure but i think they were saying that the punishment was harsh to the unfortunate devs uninvolved in the pear, years of hard work thrown into the garbage because 3 morons existed.
I think we should look at this as some sort of loss in the family. Chomper’s looked like it was going to be amazing. It had so much potential to flourish into a unique and interesting game. Yet, that was thrown away. I wanna take a moment to acknowledge and sympathize with the Chomper’s Dev Team, and everyone hurt in this. They deserve the most recognition. Let Chomper’s never be forgotten, and leave the man who took it away from us, buried in the sand.
It's just disappointing to see stuff like this occur. When doing harmful things behind closed doors, they don't just harm those that they leak information on, but everyone close to the leaker, due to bad press and lost respect. Every dev and artist involved has been harmed, all because a few grudges and rivalries. So much lost potential.
Genuinely surprised that three fully grown adults can just decide one day that they are going to abuse their power to bring down the people around them. Terrifying, hope these people never gain a position of power again.
Ultranite's "apology" feels like he got caught pouring gasoline all over Kane's house to burn it down and went "IT'S JUST A PRANK BRO" when police were called. Whatever the reason for Ultranite's hatred towards Popgoes, he should have just talked to Kane about it instead of stewing in hatred and vitriol, especially since El worked with both of them and a lot of people were helping work on Chomper's.

Okay, but even if all this stuff gets leaked, we will just respect the creators more and the leakers less. The only thing they "engineered" was their own demise.
If there's a silver lining to this situation, it's that it has brought more attention to Popgoes: Evergreen and other games affected. Plus, a lot of people (myself included) are going to play Popgoes now to support the game and make sure it doesn't suffer from this.
Its really sad to see one of the most respected and peaceful community having these awful people among them, this just shows how petty some people can be and I feel so bad for everyone who had to deal with this
Ultranite also left another project called Jolly 4 which lead to the creator, IvanG to say that when he saw the news of this underground black market of FNAF Fan Game Leeks Ultranite and Others were doing, he was disappointed by what Ultranite and others did to Kane Carter, Scott, Emil Macko, and others, he later apologized to the people who got involved and to the people who almost got attacked by one of his developers. This took a little affect on the Jolly Team, but it was the best to go on without him and stated that Jolly 4 wouldn’t be canceled because of one of their developers leaving the team. Also, they switched the development of Jolly 4 from Unreal Engine 4 back to Clickteam 2.5+ due to accessibility issues from some players which lead to the free-roam feature switching from the classic WASD to click and point.
“popgoes NEVERgreen” is actually the funniest thing to me. it really sucks that this all happened, but it just reads like an angry toddler who didn’t get what they wanted but also, how do you justify leaking someone’s wedding photos and photos of their kids? like that’s seriously messed up. and why do you think that the person who you’re threatening is going to *give you money???*
It started happening when the donations happened. If people didnt give a shit Scott wouldnt distance himself from the franchise and thus the fandom would be a lot more stable.
I'm gonna be honest I had NO CLUE that all of that happened so seeing this video was very surprising because from my perspective the fnaf community was a rather chill place I mean yeah thing would get a bit heated with people trying to solve the LOR in fnaf and all the fangames that sponed from it but I never thought that anyone would actively go out of their way to ruined someone's else's work and or life IN this community. Needless to say I'm very disappointed in them for doing that and my hert goes out to everyone who was affected by that. This video was very enlightening and I hope it never happens again in this or any other community. 😔
Bro... this just proves that no matter who someone is they could be the worst and just because they act nice doesn't mean they are. I'm not going to lie I was excited about Chomper's and Jr's but this is just sad.
I'm so sad the fnaf community has gotten so horrible after security breach. I dont like that game BUT then the Battington situation, The IRL ARG by Game theory, Aftonbuilt, etc... I really hope the community can bounce off this toxicity and other bullshit and just do what they always do: enjoy a nice spooky time, make fanworks and theories.
After security breach? Are you kidding? It's always been such a horrible shitty community. In fact this entire thing was mostly before security breach came out.
Kane and Ultranite's Story kinda reminds me of The Official FNAF Lore. Two Individuals bonded by Their Passion over Animatronic Mascots who slowly drifted until one did a drastic measure that attacks something the other holds dear. _(Cut as Per Suggestion by The Theft King himself. Love your work,man)_
The fact they thought this was okay in the first place is just disgusting. Seriously it says a lot that these awful people can hype people up with their fan games that clearly need better people behind it
They talk like they are villains, but what was their end game here? Trying to ruin a FNAF game with leaks is like trying to ruin pancakes with butter. I understand that the creative types might hate the idea of someone seeng their project unfinished, but from an audience stand point it is hard not to see a positive outcome.
Not entirely, the issue is that releasing really early development footage and material can warp the public perception of a project. First impressions are everything, and if it isn't just right it could have a very serious negative impact on the game. There's a reason most companies don't release material until late in development, and why even with alpha builds there are all sorts of NDAs surrounding them.
And this folks, is why you never share leaks with ANYONE outside of your team. Especially if there is a delay or change in plans with developing a project, webseries/animation, or game in general and that it is just disturbing to see disgusting people like this manipulate people into sharing leaks and using them to create drama. I hope these people get the justice that they rightfully deserve as they have no right to be in this community as they have done more harm than good.
It breaks my heart the lead developer of Jr's was part of this. Jrs was the most breathtaking looking fangame to date, and the fact the concept was trying to find out which animatronic was haunted from the others aside from just being by chased by evil robots, it was such an interesting concept. I really hope the game gets saved by the team who worked on it.
You know, it’s honestly very sad all of this happened, and the worst part is we trusted these people as they were shown to make such talented games. And the fact that they were doing these private chats is without a doubt very assaulting to Scott and other fan developers. Even though Chomper’s was cancelled still though the game does still looks incredible everyone I am so sorry this happened let’s hope this never happens again because I don’t want other creators having the same controversy as well they don’t deserve this.
One thing I'm sure everyone keeps cycling back to, myself included, is *why* these popular people were willing to trample over the efforts of others, and even throw their own works away. If it was just Kane, why throw so many more people under the bus with him? It's one thing to single someone out because of a personal grudge, but deliberately dragging other people into it? Why? And that's *without* considering the innocent people who worked for the perpetrators and looked up to them. To think their hard work went down the drain because of the selfishness of the ones in charge is heartbreaking. I hope all the victims of this situation will be alright. As someone who has gone through losing almost all their accomplishments and lost most of their efforts, it's such an awful feeling. King says it best: "They shouldn't have had to go through this."
the part about this that irritates me the most is that because of this, many amazing fan games have halted development or canceled entirely! so many beautiful works of art, lost to the digital void because of selfish people like this.
This whole situation has made me reflect back on what happened in the past year regarding FNAF, and if I'm going to be honest, I think that the series might be in very hot water. -Jomechrome, the creator of One Night at Flumpty's and one of the main members of the Fanverse was outed as a pedophile -Scott's political donations got leaked, leading to him getting doxxed, retiring, and leaving the community -Security Breach launched in a very, VERY poor state, and let's be honest, not a lot of people came back to the patch -Aftonbuilt got rejected from the Fanverse because Scott didn't like it and he couldn't put enough resources towards the game because of Security Breach, (Credit to Dcs Cruz for this information) leading to the creator to go on a hate crusade against Scott and the Fanverse -Mechlus, Ultrarote, and Ramenov blackmail other Fanverse creators into letting them in by threatening to leak their games -Battington isn't allowed to remake the FNAF Squimpus Tapes anymore because of an admittedly-pretty-dumb prank (Credit to Kat Licks for reminding me of this) -The FNAF movie stays in production hell -Even Fazbear Frights has become kind of a joke amongst the community with some of its more "out-there" ideas becoming memes (Fazgoo, anyone?) FNAF is going to need something really good really soon or else its' going to die out. And if I'm being honest, I wish that I didn't have to say that. I love FNAF and I wish that it could keep going, so long as the story isn't ruining what came before for fanservice. (Looking at you, Burntrap) But I don't know man, with how much controversy this series has around it, it feels almost inevitable for the series to get an infamous reputation again. All we can hope for now is for Security Breach's DLC to be good.
Aftonbuild seems to have been rejected thanks to SB tanking and Scott not being transparent to them that they had too much going on to put resources to Aftonbuild
I can only imagine how badly this can impact the future for the gaming community/gamedevs, due to broken trust and ignorant people. it's heartbreaking to see
I am really disappointed. Ramenov's game Jr's was looking to be one of the best ever. Can't fathom how people who make such good content can do such vile things to others. Lame, man, lame.
@@atanaZion because people assume good people make good things, usually that's true but as we see sometimes bad people do good things upfront and worse things behind closed doors

@@troin3925 the major reason is mostly not because they can't seperate them, it's that they don't want to endorse the product so to speak They know it's good and all that and tbh even if the drama was worse they'd still play it, but enjoying and endorsing someone's work are vastly different from one another
Personally, this video feels like Theft King at their most humanly angry and I really like that. I've not heard "they're so full of shit" from them before, not even in the poppy playtime videos. If someone managed to upset Theft King like that, it really feels like no return - not like there'd be any with such shitty behaviour.
I am SO disappointed by Ramenov, Ultranite and the other members of The Pear. I did not get a whiff of any of this, and I am very glad that I did not see any of these leaks or private infos. As you put it, it's best to just ignore now. It just makes me sad that there are people this bad in a community that changed and safes my life. I had to learn that most people can just turn out to be rotten, and I just always wish people could change for the better... but most of the time... they don't. I am so glad the dev teams are still intact. You rock! My biggest respect goes out to all targets, and you for clearing it up in the video.
I'm super happy with how tastefully and completely you covered all of this!!! I was a bit worried this was gonna be a clickbait video, but you really show your care and passion for the videos and topics you cover here. Fantastic work here, thanks so much for compiling all of this info in such a well put-together way! I hope big drama and fandom-wide events could just stop occurring every single week haha
Ultranite approached me a while back for FNaF Simulator. I told him I didn't want to collaborate with other devs at the time as I normally have bad experiences doing so. Good thing I didn't.
First Scott getting threatened last year, now this. If one more bad thing happens on June 10th next year, I am officially going to dub June 10th as "FNAF's Day Of Disaster".
I had watched all of this unfold on Twitter and even looked into the pear myself and some things I didn't understand, glad you made a video to make a huge mess more coherent for us.
This all is pretty disturbing really, to see just how two faced the main players of that group chat were, how one is all like "Ignore what the screenshots say and take what I say right now as truth," the fact that one of them somehow attained, hoarded and shared somewhat private, to probably entirely private family photos of Scott's just goes to show something is wrong with these people. And we don't even know the true reason, the catalyst as to why they started all this. Was it some level of narcissistic power fantasy, drooling over the prospect of holding leverage over others and their projects? An actual manifesto of their defused attempt to damage the perception of other games and their creators' integrity? Why the hell would any of these fools CARE so much, even if ONE of them had a beef with ONE other head creator? All this talent and potential from the three alone, on top of the ramifications from their actions effecting those who worked under them and on other projects entirely, all due to phantoms of reasons that don't matter anymore. Random maniacs really will ruin things for no reason it seems.
This entire situation is not only really unfortunate for all effected by the Pears actions but it was also just really bizarre and immature in terms of motives on the part of the Pear. This sounds a lot like something 2b2t players would do.
Seriously, what a nightmare all this seems to be... Let's all support the victims of this mess, Kane, El, and all of the artists and devs that spent hours of work into these games only for things like this to go down, and to be left feeling betrayed.
I think having discords for shit is just asking for trouble. Even for fangames, these devs should be using more secure, professional channels to communicate and keep conduct in check. I swear to god every time someone starts talking about a discord in these fandoms/fan dev groups I just know there's gonna be drama.
Discord is a pretty safe space normally, this is more a problem of you can't trust anybody than discord not being secure, these devs were friends so they trusted them with this information discord itself wasn't the problem being tricked and stabbed in the back was
Also the other statements are more issues of you don't hear anything about the discords in which nothing happens so you get a false mental image of discord being a unsafe unprofessional method to communicate easily
An astute hypothesis! As an outsider to the fandom who knows little to nothing I find myself desiring the chance to rend the cretins responsible limb from limb, sinew from cartilage, spirit from body. We live in strange yet fluid times...
It’s kinda scary that just like that months or years of work can be leaked at any moment. As someone that’s working on a Fnaf fan game of my own(FNAF Repercussions) could just be released in a single moment.
Damn it’s messed up how the selfishness of others can affect a lot of people even if they had nothing to do with it. Much love to the ones affected by this I truly hope y’all’s projects thrive despite this and to his team I hope y’all get to work on other projects and that y’all will be soon recognize by someone within the community.
How incredibly sad in both senses. Hurtful for the owners of the leaked content but incredibly 'sad' to just do this to people you where working with, destroying their sense of trust. Like gogdamn- they where going to be considered for the Fanverse but then everything crashed down on them for backstabbing everyone involved.
Not buying that they obtained kids pics for blackmail or whatnot, I would contact the police. These are creepy people and deserves to be on a list somewhere.
I love how Ultranite talks like a supervillain. But other than that this is awful that members of the community would abuse their power to hurt others in the community for no good reason.
This reminds me of some stuff that happened in another community I was a part of. The owner of one of the big discord servers for it had a grudge against the owner of another server. For a short time, I was a staff member of both of these servers. Owner #1 kept trying to rope me into his abhorrent plans to "take down" the other server because he saw them as "competition" and hated the owner of the other server. It wasn't quite this severe but there were whole group chats and private servers he made dedicated to his "plan."
Man I was so excited to play Jrs. but knowing Ramenov was apart of this makes me feel so sick and he has the audacity to run off like an absolute coward. I’ll still play it to honor that team that went through the effort into making it as you bring it up but man it is such a shame that such a promising product has someone like him souring its entire existence now. Edit: Jrs just died as well. Such a massive shame what these horrible people did to this community Edit 2: NVM ITS SAVED LETS GO
As someone who's not really in the FNAF community as much now it's interesting to see this type of drama that's in different communities in here. You wouldn't think a group where you make scary robot animal fan games would have this level of blackmail, hate, and expose kind of stuff.
It all started because a bunch of mentally unstable middle schoolers started threatening Scott Cawthon and his family because, oh no, he supposedly doesn't subscribe to the beliefs and politics they fed each other. So a ravenous internet mob of bigots, which unfortunately infect many fanbases for popular franchises these days, manifested. My generation is hopeless 😑
I was so excited for Chompers, I loved the art style. This is so upsetting, but I'm glad you released all of this. It's important we are aware of this. Aware how people act behind the scenes and whether we want to continue to support them.
In my opinion it looks like ultranite was envious of Kane for getting in the fanverse so fast and easily and bc of that he made the pear and funnily enough that made his own game not be accepted, it's honestly disgusting what the envy of ultranite did he literally ruined everything his team made.
I'm really sorry for YuRo and other members of Chomper's development team. Their hard work was ruined by one selfish narcissistic individual. I hope that they can find work in other Fanverse game development though. They truly earned it
Good note at the end on ignoring leaks and not playing them. I’m guilty of playing a notable leak myself (one of some upcoming Friday Night Funkin’ content) and while I’m glad I experienced it early, the content is unfinished and I just wasn’t supposed to be able to see it yet. I wish I would’ve just waited. I think the gaming community as a whole is just much too obsessed with things leaking. We could all stand to be more patient. Anyways, thanks for making this video; I wouldn’t have known about this story otherwise. You always do great investigative work and I appreciate all the effort you put into getting the info across firmly but respectfully.
@@entertainment-ox8gl Mhm! Some content from the upcoming update leaked a while back including unfinished animations and music. While it’s still high quality work, it’s not complete. It made me more excited for the next update but also sad that they’re dealing with leaks.
As an update, it looks as though JR's is no longer being developed by Ramenov...? He's been banned by Gamejolt by using spam bots to raise the game's rating. There's a new game page up from the co-director darroc, it sounds like Ramenov is no longer involved.
I'm just glad that the perpetrator's reputations have been destroyed. Not only are they likely to never enter the fnaf-verse again, unless they create entirely new identities, but there's a good chance that this will travel to other communities they were a part of as well. It sucks that all the victims had to go through this, and my heart goes out to all of them. I hope they are able to find peace after this.
Man, the internet is terrible sometimes
@@TheStoryMakerYT that's a understatement

It’s a shame how far someone can go without thinking they’re doing anything wrong, when they’re risking everything and even some of the extremely hard work developers have put into their games. The fact that everything could be leaked in a few seconds is just scary. The games connected to the Fanverse do not deserve this and the same goes for other innocent developers out there. I’ve heard that some were forced to release images of their game in fear of them being leaked.
pictures of Scott's kids and a recording of his wedding? disturbing how the internet facilitated access to private information, it makes me sad and angry
Its also very creepy
The fact its also scott, the one who started this community
These kinds of dealings happend in the centuries before the Internet. It's just WAY more obvious now.
Yeah... and mind you, Scott was one of the more pulled back dudes in the internet. I remember back then, we barely had a picture of the dude. Or at least that's how I saw it.
Damn...
Not to mention it was shared by the least people you'd expect to do most of it. The guys behind the most expected upcoming fan games.
As a data hoarder this was really sad to learn. Archiving things is a power to be used for good, not evil. And especially not for such childish and petty evil at that
As a data hoarder…I am curious, what goes into saving data like that? And how do you use this power for good?
@@jacobc8036 many many hours of searching through pages upon pages of anything related to what you’re archiving. And depending on what you’re saving, many terabytes of storage.
Some of the good can be things like providing references to old projects for friends working on things related to the old projects. Or helping establish a timeline of historical events in a community. Having backups of peoples’ works if something happens to the original so they don’t have to start over (what happened with Toy Story 2 for example, although that wasn’t as much data hoarding since it was an employee who had copies of the original files)
Theres many good things that can come out of storing files!
@@jacobc8036 There are people outthere that do archiving for game roms that are discontinued and important content that might get removed
On some cases I have seen people use it for good rather than evil, but you are right. Many people end up using their powers for worse, and it's sad
I've personally had problems with Mechlus for quite a while, but I'm very disappointed in the other two. They always seemed so nice... Shame that this has to always happen...

I feel bad to Scott's children 😓😓
I call it:
"I'll heard 2 of every Doxxer on a boat,
Then I'll beat the crap out of them."
Not sure how it will mess it up, but I think that it will download the same picture over and over again very fast to flood the memory so they cannot download another leak again, a password will be good to get it to stop and deleat itself so when they finally stop stealing you can heal their computer out of mercy.

@@grantbarday5760 I'd rather return to the days where the biggest FNaF controversies were the lore and FNaFHS.

The community chased Scott away by threatening his family and possibly doxxing him. After finding out he voted for orange man
@@grantbarday5760 Because realistically, the fans are the ones pulling the strings.
Honestly it’s such a shame that this happened. Everyone involved had so much potential to create a career out of making games.

I watched something like this happen first hand as well, someone was attempting a mutiny on a community. I don’t understand why this is so common now

I hope these people get the justice that they rightfully deserve as they have no right to be in this community as they have done more harm than good.
It breaks my heart the lead developer of Jr's was part of this. -Jomechrome, the creator of One Night at Flumpty's and one of the main members of the Fanverse was outed as a pedophile
-Scott's political donations got leaked, leading to him getting doxxed, retiring, and leaving the community
-Security Breach launched in a very, VERY poor state, and let's be honest, not a lot of people came back to the patch
-Aftonbuilt got rejected from the Fanverse because Scott didn't like it and he couldn't put enough resources towards the game because of Security Breach, (Credit to Dcs Cruz for this information) leading to the creator to go on a hate crusade against Scott and the Fanverse
-Mechlus, Ultrarote, and Ramenov blackmail other Fanverse creators into letting them in by threatening to leak their games
-Battington isn't allowed to remake the FNAF Squimpus Tapes anymore because of an admittedly-pretty-dumb prank (Credit to Kat Licks for reminding me of this)

Honestly, I agree.
Discord is a magnet for drama.
I dont wanna make assumptions but im feeling that ever since Scott announced the donations, the fanbase as a whole decided to rip each other apart...
An astute hypothesis! As an outsider to the fandom who knows little to nothing I find myself desiring the chance to rend the cretins responsible limb from limb, sinew from cartilage, spirit from body. We live in strange yet fluid times...
Imagine leaking children pics and acting like a kid yourself through the whole thing.
All of this is just pointless evil.
It’s kinda scary that just like that months or years of work can be leaked at any moment. As someone that’s working on a Fnaf fan game of my own(FNAF Repercussions) could just be released in a single moment.
I wish you luck in your endeavor.
In my eyes it's more envy then selfishness that caused this, specifically ultranite and kane
More like behind bars... obtaining kids pics is one step away from the 'stranger danger' situation.
ghostrider list...
I was looking forward to Chompers and JRs, and I'm disgusted. I hope that everyone that was a victim will be ok
Pretty Sure Jr's Is Still Releasing. It's Just That Ramenov Is Retiring As A FNaF Fangame Dev After It's Release.
@@whitneyingram5995 I hope so because JRs looks really scary
You did a great job explaining everything
It saddens me that this type of thing actually happens
Such a massive shame what these horrible people did to this community
Edit 2: NVM ITS SAVED LETS GO
As someone who's not really in the FNAF community as much now it's interesting to see this type of drama that's in different communities in here.
@@xenomorph6599 Not anyone else's fault you like Trump.
All fandoms are screwed up... If a weird drama happens in one of them, then I would say it's expected. This is why I don't join fandoms!
These guys never grew out of their middle school mindset lmao
@@SheHulk-jg2jc wait till you hear how the leaks are over in War Thunder! Genuine military files galore!
I was so excited for Chompers, I loved the art style. This is so upsetting, but I'm glad you released all of this. It's important we are aware of this. Aware how people act behind the scenes and whether we want to continue to support them.
It's free, no reason not to continue wanting it
In my opinion it looks like ultranite was envious of Kane for getting in the fanverse so fast and easily and bc of that he made the pear and funnily enough that made his own game not be accepted, it's honestly disgusting what the envy of ultranite did he literally ruined everything his team made.
I'm really sorry for YuRo and other members of Chomper's development team. Their hard work was ruined by one selfish narcissistic individual. I hope that they can find work in other Fanverse game development though. They truly earned it
No wonder Phisnom want's to leave the community at this point.
I can’t blame him
@@PhonyGamer-po8ci neither can I.
@@noone-mo6gy Same I'd rather live in 2016 where no dead ass Dramas... Where fnaf SL is released At First
Good note at the end on ignoring leaks and not playing them.
What Friday night funkin?????
