A Black Prior's Sermon

- I wanted to do a video talking about the Christian influences in the Black Prior's voice lines, weapon sets, and name...but instead of just doing a standard explanation video like I normally do...I decided to get a little creative. Don't worry, in a future video, I may clarify a few of the things I said and may even add a few other tid bits that I didn't say in this video. But I thought this would be a very creative lore way to reveal some of the influences for the Prior, my favorite knight aside from Warden.

This speech will be a reminder to all of us priors who see through Vortiger's lies, there is still hope for us to make amends
Our honor may be stained by our past misdeeds, but we shall commit ourself to the people of Ashfeld once again!
Our judgement has been misguided by those who would attempt to use us, to make our shield a weapon, rather then what it is. The protection of the innocent and the faithful. To make us barbarians, rather then the noble protectors we must be.

The energy you give off in your performance is absolutely infectious. My Black Prior, Sister Aveline, was one who chose to not swear upon the stone of Horkos, and has since been trying to atone for her past actions when under Apollyon’s command. She would be pleased to see others seeing through the lies of Vortiger and Astrea.
my Warden was one of Apollyons soldiers, who helped Apollyon fight the vikings and samurai, but betrayed apollyon after realizing what she stood for.
he would go on to travel and fight, proving himself to the iron legion before joining the remnants of Rome to fight the enemies of Ashfeld. After the war he would fight for Chimera (although not completely agreeing with them)
My black prior, Atanas the Wall, also chose fight against horkos, he even joined chimera, though his ruthless tactics and ends justify the means philosophy has caused some friction

Will her belief that the root of all evil is Weakness and that, that Weakness grows from the mustard seed of peace be changed? Only time and a few more sermons from this Black prior will tell....

I'd like to see something like this from the point of view of a defected warmonger, have her (or him, the actual lore of the game doesn't exactly matter, we're just having fun here, eh? But for simplicity's sake I will refer to warmonger as she/her) trying to convince the Chimera Alliance that she can be trusted, could be pretty cool.

Been writing a narrative of two brothers who became BPs that grew up in an abbey. And when Vortiger called the Black Priors to action and join Horkos, these two brothers attended this meeting and regained their honor by defecting to Chimera as True Priors
Prior’s speech got me pumped up.

I was always wondering...is for honor in real world somewhere in forgotten lands? Is the christianity the religion of knights? Why is it that vikings shout Valhalla which means they have the faith in odin and other things but there is no mention of Jesus, heaven or anything as that. Angels etc...
The only proof really are the churches and ram chants/music in walled city.

I do think this is very epic. I always liked the idea that Christianity was a thing in For Honor, and this video makes it somewhat better. Very well spoken my friend

since you are christian and the subject of this video i wonder do you think people like soldiers from wars like the crusades and ww1 and 2 go to hell or is it justified
There is a difference between murder and battle. God is not just a God of Love, but a Warrior too. Killing an enemy combatant in war is not the same as killing someone in malice or hate. As Jesus said “You have heard it said ‘Do not murder,’ But I tell you, that everyone who is angry with his
brother without a cause shall be in danger of the
judgment; and whoever shall say to his brother, 'idiot!’ shall be in danger of the council; and whoever shall say, 'You fool!' shall be in danger of the fire of Hell.” (Matthew 5:21-22)
To Jesus it’s more about what’s in your heart. Hate for another without cause is the true sin. Senseless hate is sinful, for it is the cause of most murder. Hating your neighbor for no reason and without cause is wrong. But fighting in war is a matter of life and death, not hateful malice.

@@thelord7185 It’s perfectly fine. It’s a fair question, and one I get asked a lot.
The Commandment “Do Not Kill,” applies to in day to day life and for the preservation of a society. But war is a circumstance for protection. Psalms 144:1-2 reads “Of David. Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle; he is my steadfast love and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield and he in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me.”

I love it too many Christians of the past chose to die as martyrs when it is the enemy that should do the dying struggling with our faith to not break all of The Commandments but when we take up the sword and this Noble purpose then we only have one sin to worry about because our time will be too preoccupied with our duty

I legit expected this to be an epic speech, but it's ruined by Raven doing his lispy "True DAHKNESSS" voice for Prior, and either way I would've loved it.
TL;DR: start being honorable again and stop shield bashing.
I wish BP was more fun to play. He's strong, has top tier fashion and it's fun to yell "IN THE NAME OF GOD" and "Ad Profundis" but his gameplay is kinda stale.
