@@erick.a5252 Me personally I think it’s a great car. If your looking for a good reliable daily driver than it’s a good choice. Not to bad with gas mileage. If your looking for one you could build up than it’s still a good choice. Not the fastest out there but you can still win quite a few races lol
definitely not a fast car just cuz it's a " Mustang " doesn't make it fast, it was meant to be a daily driven reliably fuel efficient car. Let me tell you these motors are strong and solid I currently have 175k miles on mine! One day I will probably rebuild the motor and put a Vortech V2 supercharger in mine, they make them for this model if you guys didn't know.
+Exertiions It's not exactly SLOW but for a "performance car", yeah, I could understand that. Still quicker than my Grand Marquis from a stand still. I wonder from a 30mph roll tho.
This is true, however, people harsly bash the 4.0 for being a boat anchor, when they dont realize it was designed in the early 90's to be fitted in 97+explorers and 01+ Rangers. Even then, the 4.0 is a pretty outstanding engine and are extremely reliable.
i have one just like this the seats are light color and roof still good for a 2010 never had to replace the roof yet and love driving with the roof open but i be getting a suv and not keeping the mustang to many other problems
This has definitely cemented my goal of saving up for a 2010 Pony V6 convertible. Initially, I wanted to get an '05-'09 GT, but not anymore. I don't NEED a V8 (nor do I want one; touch the gas pedal, and you're at your destination!).
@bkvintagecorp no. once the v6 camora came out with 300hp ford had competition so they uped the v6 mustang also. but because of it the price is about 6 to 9 grand more depending on the package of the v6
I haven't had a new car in so long it's hard to remember. I average about 15 yrs. old. Still I like 'em all. Gotta love the new electronic doo dahs of today, with the whole tachometer turning red at redline. (1:13).
I love mustangs, just went from a 2010 v6 to a 2012 v6 premium. BIG DIFFERENCE. The old 4.0 was a little fun, but the 3.7 kicks ass. I've read that some people think the 4.0 had better torque?? Wrong. The 2010 v6 is 240 tq while the 2011/2012 has 280. Plus the new mustangs are only like 80 lbs heavier than the 2010. (3390 to 3470) which is alot lighter than the camaro(3750) and challenger(3710)
Dan, do you think fords are getting more reliable as we go into the future? Just because I know that fords are well known for their bad transmissions, as well as a host of other issues. Thought you might have a good word on this.
it sucks to live in New York City, no matter how light you are on the pedals, you can reach epa estimates.too much traffic here.good work on beating epa numbers.
@gasflame62 The engine in the new 2011 V6 Mustang is a huge improvement over the previous years. I've spent a few hours behind the wheel of a few of them, but need to get one out here for a week to shoot a proper review.
You have any opinions wether a convertible mustang or a normal mustang is better, is the convertible one convenient, i heard you have to spend alot on maintaining the top
Does ANYONE know why Ford won't add more leg room in the back?!! I would like to buy a V6 Mustang when I can afford a newer car but both of my sons are 6 ft so someone would suffer. I really like Mustangs but so far I will be buying a Focus or Fusion Hybrid thanks to the leg room issue.
The WRX is an awesome car, no doubt about that ... for twisty road and loose surfaces, it definitely gets the nod. The newer Mustang V6s have much more HP than this 2010 and the MPG #s have been improved ... check out our recent review of the 2013.
Thanks, MHJ! The deer love to watch when I shoot video on that road and I need to watch them, too... not the smartest animals on the planet. :) There can be as many as fifty of the critters spread out across the fields. The 2010 Mustang V6 isn't as fast as the Camaro V6, no doubt about that. But I'd have to give it the edge when it comes to handling. I love 'em all ...
i'm curious to see how these new 3.7 engines hold up...pumping 300 horse out of a smaller engine might not be good for trying to get 200,000 miles out of the engine. that 4.0 is a good proven reliable engine that's for damn sure.
someone explain to me why you would get a v6 stang when impreza wrx has more horse power, more torque, more capacity (even in four door), better handling, better leg room, and better fuel efficiency? and still in the 20-30 price range
can you review a 2011 or 2012, their engines have a lot more power i would like to see how they stack up to the camaro and challenger, on paper the both the v8 and v6 stang wins on all fronts.
@KingMacintosh i know this one was automatic but some people that get the manual version of this car may not have driven a manual before and i guess need help shifting....idk. only reason i can think of why Ford would do that
@mpgomatic I'd stay away from ANY 11' mustang, considering the transmission problems they're having. I know someone with a Blue 2011 V6, and he's on his 3rd transmission within 10k miles.
For all y’all saying it’s slow, I hope you guys do realize you can add mods & aftermarket parts to gain more horsepower.
Should I buy this in 2020?

@@ahmadx1998 Im concidering buying a 2010 v6 with 116k miles for 10k usd is that a steal as a first car?
@@senorbonbon no. That mileage is awful. Spend a couple grand more for like 60k miles
@@ILoveLosingMoneyy some cars of that year are at the 200k mark. I think that’s respectable.
4.0 v6 is as reliable as they get !

Well the newer ones are kinda faster
Thanks for the kind words, Lolz2561! =)

I just bought it yesterday so came here to see the features
I bought one. So far, so good
@patch9894
the 2010 model put out 210 hp... the 2011 (which looks almost identical) has the new V6 putting out over 300 hp.
I gona buy one. I love the mustang more than my life
me too never owned one im getting it this year
Daniel Larsson I hope not.
I'm picking mine up tomorrow same color. I love the body more than the new ones
I like how it turns red when you reach redline. THATS REALLY COOL. I bet your $70,000 BMW cant do that.
Any luck getting your hands on a 2011 V6 for review yet?
1:22 the rims, glitch in the matrix
I found a place VERY near where I live, that has a 2010 mustang (non-convertible) for $13,995.......pretty good, and I think i may just go for it!
i have one just like this the seats are light color and roof still good for a 2010 never had to replace the roof yet and love driving with the roof open but i be getting a suv and not keeping the mustang to many other problems
Does the v6 have the lights inside and can you change it?
Ricky Williams Yes
Fantastic review as usual. You have a great voice too. I don't like Fords, but that leather looks top notch and I love that it's NOT black or grey!

Good Review! Short, sweet and to the point.
@nightxhawk95 3.5 does have alot of power and mileage, but the 4.0 is basically bulletproof, and is a great engine.
i have one the roof still looks good and it looks just like this one 2010 year i love driving with the roof open
@bkvintagecorp no. once the v6 camora came out with 300hp ford had competition so they uped the v6 mustang also. but because of it the price is about 6 to 9 grand more depending on the package of the v6
i like how it blinks red when it shifts
Also, the Pony Package has the cool-looking stripes on the doors

@Bzapp725 There's a 2012 Camaro convertible in the driveway right now. I'll see if I can fit in the back seat tomorrow.
hey men great video i got a question do you modify the motor or smthing??
Actually I got an '07 Mustang for 11,995 (which ofcourse came out to more with bank fees and taxes, lol) But it's really cool!
@abram7117
In 2011, will have 300 hp. 3.7L V6.
Also in GT version will have 5.0L V8 410+ hp.
@Artyfil not to mention the v6 in the 2011 mustang is actually smaller, and gets better gas mileage. WTF was Ford doing before 2011?.
@nightxhawk95 I would go for the '11 over the '10, hand down. The '11 does quite well in the MPG department, considering how fast it is ...
@thamoja I've been trying to snag a current Mustang for quite a while. Fingers crossed, we'll see one in the spring.
did u get t=it
My dad just gave me one. Hows the 0-60 and the Quarter mile run???
great review, very interesting for me as German.
Fuel is so expensive here, about 8 $ the gallon.
by the way, how "cheap" is in in the USA atm ?
$3

the 2010 is much more refined, better handling, better gas mileage, better fit n finish, whole new car
I'm hoping to get the chance to test the V6 manual, one of these days ... not to mention the V8s ... =) It's all in the way you drive it ...
Is it worth it to buy it with 170 k? For 3500?
is this a mustang V6 premium or just a mustang V6?
since it has the side stripes, I think it's the premium, but I'm not 100% sure
It all depends on where you live.
I've never owned a Mustang, but I've always owned convertibles. One day ...
Can you turn off the sequential rear turn signals?? They drive me insane when I'm following someone with them.
are seat adjuster buttons the same as the power window buttons from older ford trucks??
How much gas consumption does have that AWESOME car ?

Dan You Must Have The Best Job
i dont mind the back seat. my friend is 6 foot 6 and he fir comfortably. in my 07 pony
This was a very good review. Motor trend take notice.
I can't wait until you can review the 2011 3.7l V6 Mustang which is supposed to have 30mpg with 305hp.=}

@nynascarkid no look at 2:16....see how it looks exactly like the power windows buttons from the late 90's and early 2000's ford trucks
Yes I know that....... I was speaking for the future as the guy referred to on the video.
i hate the antenna on the back
How could you tell if the car is an ecoboost
How come you did'nt get in back of the camaro??
Have you guys ever tested the Mercedes Benz CL550?? My favorite car.
@imadreamer716 Cars in general have become much more reliable. Best place to check for that type of information is Consumer Reports or TrueDelta.
Keep a feather foot and the 4.0 can even hit 32.5 Highway. Done it. Not a fun engine, but pretty sturdy!
Oh my god, it's better than the competition because it has a smaller turning radius! Why didn't I buy this muscle car instead of my Camaro? Damn...
go for it im loving my car
@KingMacintosh i know this one was automatic but some people that get the manual version of this car may not have driven a manual before and i guess need help shifting....idk. only reason i can think of why Ford would do that
dream car
1:44 deer are asking when he's gonna start going fast with the mustang so they can send one running out to get planted on the grille!
@ciboalien it gets 26 with the manual, but regardless it gets way better, i've gotten upwards of 32mpg with mine.
Yeah, the sticker on mine said 17 mpg city and 24 highway. It's averaging 13 mpg lol
@bkvintagecorp no these 2010 have the old low tech 4.0's {making a lousy 210 HP} the 2011 have the 3.7
great car I have one with the stick very fast and fun to drive #
i havent seen thoses are there any vids ima check
@creamyfilling102 the 4.0 is probably the most reliable v6 i nhistory.
ECO boost, yes!
Did the speedometer light up to let you know when to shift?
Yep
Bought a 2014 gt manual
+Howard King Cool!
@mpgomatic I'd stay away from ANY 11' mustang, considering the transmission problems they're having. I know someone with a Blue 2011 V6, and he's on his 3rd transmission within 10k miles.
Does the v6 have the feature that
@Bzapp725 It'll be a while ... just back from SEMA and I have a stack of tape to work through.
wait isn't it a 3.8, not a 4.0?
great car
Its amazing! the 2010 v6 gets worse gas mileage than than the 2011 GT, and the GT has 200 more horsepower!!
i want to buy this car but no offense, my 2.5 toyota pumps out 216bhp, but i'm planning on moving to us, and buying this.
@20Torrent08GXP Yup, 305hp. finally ford doesn't use the outdated v6 engine anymore.
The difference between Mustang and other is : Everybody Wants To Have A Mustang ...e v e r y b o d y . RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR i love it
@chinchillawrangler thats the lumbar support
This isn't Ecoboost, Ecoboost involves turbocharging.
nah i drive an 2008 s550 all the time they are somewhat similar tho.FAST cars tho
Already did! Git it November of 2011!! ;-)
@guitarsnowmobiler 412hp/390tq at the flywheel.
I know what my first car will be 😳
Me either! =)
i have the v6 premium version
screw the 2010 it's all about the 2011 new motors and new beginnings
