Wow, that buck! Now that was very special. Free winter camping in a national park..so cool. win, win, win! 😁❄💖

Spruce Grouse was the bird. I have my eye on the area around G.N.P. there are some very cool areas not to mention the beauty in side this wonderful N.P.!!! Great Video!!!

Spruce grouse! What an amazing bird. You live in a fantastic area! We hope to go back in the warmer season to follow The Road to the Sun! Thank you for watching and for your kind words.
@@oneadVANtureatatime Not in a while. Saw one from a distance this summer and a friend of mine who lives on the west side of the valley had one come through his property and take out some of his chickens.

I gotta say that’s probably the most beautiful water fall I’ve ever seen. Mule deer are not as spooked by humans as white tail deer but that being said it’s very cool that it got that close and did not turn and run off. We are so very lucky that we have that kind of beauty in nature
Just breathtaking. What a wonderful adventure. I don’t have any spikes yet but I’m moving to the country and planning on getting some. I first hear about them a few years ago from my aunt in Norway. I looked at the Yak tracks. Same concept. Glad they work well. Looks absolutely beautiful, great video 👍🏼
Now that it's OK to film in national parks, I'm sure that grouse is more polite. :) Two summers ago in Glacier a mule deer doe walked right at me on a trail. I'd never seen such behavior, but I stepped aside like you did and it passed within arm's reach. Deer act differently where they can't be hunted I guess. Nice video. That stream with the rock banks was beautiful!
Such a wonderful video , you two are the right couple to do this type adventure. Such a awesome place .,wish I was able to go do what your doing , Enjoy every minute out there , thanks for sharing Keep up the good work 😎😂😍😍

We took our granddaughter when she was four years old to glacier what a magical time for you guys to be there like you hit the lottery on that day the interesting part of the west side of glacier is it like a rainforest kind of reminds me of Alaska along the coast the trail of the Cedars especially and then you had to the east side And it’s dryer and more like the Rocky Mountains here in Colorado I think it was one of our favorite trips ever my granddaughter still remembers it
Awesome! We look forward to returning to see that east side of Glacier National Park . We talked to people there that love it so much they go every year.
as a 35+ year resident of nearby Whitefish, off-season ventures were common. you choose a good one. bring a bike next time. my parents ashes are at the far end of Avalanche Lake, looking out toward Heaven's Peak. I've hiked into Avalanche every mother's day (and father's day) for years, most often alone in the early morning. i've encountered griz, mountain lions, and wolves in my trips. Never an issue. in my years, i've hiked over 5000 trail miles and summitted peaks over well 100 times. never had to deploy spray despite dozens and dozens of grizzly encounters, half a dozen mountain lion encounters and a handful of wolf encounters - most while alone. i could recommend a number of other options for late April and early May, most notably Apgar Lookout near West Glacier. biking the East Side (St. Mary) is the most undiscovered, uncrowded bike ride you'll ever have. 99% of bikers stay on the west side. in most of my half dozen April/May St. Mary bike rides i've encountered no other bikers all day. If Many Glacier or Two Medicine entrances are open (iffy in late April), check them out too. good job on the video....
Love your videos, hope to see you out there. Almost done on our rebuild and for cold weather. We will be getting here. What kind of Axe were you using? Looking forward to watching other vids.

We made a short 4 minute video on some of the changes. Thank you for watching. 😀
Have fun and take care and take it easy and enjoy it
Thank you, David. 😀
Thank you! That's what the ranger told us as well. The deer don't fear people in the park because they have never had a reason to.😀
Such a wonderful video , you two are the right couple to do this type adventure.
Such a awesome place .,wish I was able to go do what your doing ,
Enjoy every minute out there , thanks for sharing
Keep up the good work 😎😂😍😍
This was one beautiful video.
Thank you, Judith! 😀
Your video was spectacular 👀we enjoyed every second of your winter wonderland ❤️thank you so much we are your new followers ❤️? Do they have a place to dump your sewer ? Can you get clean water for the RV thank you🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲
Hi Bernie. We are almost sure the dump station and water were closed off for the year. We are thinking that's why they are not charging people to camp. Thank you so much for subscribing to our channel. We are having the time of our lives exploring and love sharing with you. We hope to see you on the road someday.😀
I love your videos!!! What kind of camera are you using?? It looks fantastic!
kinda eerie behavior back to back on the Grouse and the Deer. good video! )AKA as fool's grouse because they let you get so close.
Hi Mark. I have heard the term “fool’s grouse” before and didn't know why. 😎
That scenery was incredible! I also loved the deer encounter and the angry bird. Also was wondering if your still happy with your new heater.
We are loving our new heater! Carrie stays up late editing and uses it every single night! Let's just say that I no longer need covers to stay warm. 😂
Have fun and take care and enjoy it
Beautiful !!
What chains did you decide to buy? Where they any good?
We went to Les Swab and got real chains! I did have to cut 3 links off of them but they have been working amazing! These will not be breaking😃😃
Great video and THANK YOU.
Thank you, Jack.😎
Waw~~I've been there avaranch lake last summer. It was really beautiful spot to me.
Nice! I would love to see the waterfall into the lake flow. We love that hike. 😀
Love your videos, hope to see you out there. Almost done on our rebuild and for cold weather. We will be getting here. What kind of Axe were you using? Looking forward to watching other vids.
Thank you! It's a Helko Werk German ax. They are pricey, but very high quality. Congratulations for nearly completing your rebuild. We hope to meet you on the road. 😀

After i get my van, glacier is my number 1 destination. U made me want to go more.
Awesome destination Samantha! We look forward to returning to GNP to see what we missed due to snow.😃
I live like a .25mi from Glacier. Try to go in fall, there is no crowds and seeing the park turn into fall is incredible. Happy travels 🍻
@@VIi726 thank you so much. Do you know month that parts if the park close?
@@samanthadodd8112 going to the sun and other parts start closing mid to late October. I would say go end of September because you will be able to catch the elk rut”mating season” and the bears will be a little more active getting ready for winter
@@VIi726 Thank you so much.
YOU WERE LUCKY TO SEE SNOW IN NOVEMBER. SNOW HAS BEEN SCARCE IN MONTANA THIS WINTER.
The snow was amazing! Since than it has followed us all the way to the Mexico border 😂
Was it hard to navigate the Avalanche trail? Or were signs posted? Just out of curiosity…
Super easy to navigate this trail. There was a steady stream of people packing the snow down. 👍😀
LOL, Kerry with her coat on backwards.
+Bert Kelly I forgot a cover for my camera so I protecting it from the snow by wearing my coat backwards🤣
