Thanks Gary - it was in nice condition given the time of year - nice to get some snow climbs in (eventually ) thius year! lol Thanks for watching ATB Murray
Thank you Murray, Gerry, Mark, what an amazing video, so very beautiful, This walk has been on my bucket list for years, not the climb but just to walk up past the bothy and see the North Face. I will do it one day 😁 The frozen lochan was beautiful too. Loved this video a lot, shows how impressive it really is, amazing!
Spring really can deliver an extraordinary variety conditions in the Scottish Highlands if you're willing to go high enough. Thanks for doing so Murray and glad you got such a cracking day for this outing.
Thanks Ross - it’s definetly my favourite time of the year for the mountains 🏔️ as you say you can get a bit of every season thrown in at the moment :) Thanks for watching Murray
Amazing north face route up the Ben. And was it just me thinking the ice sculpture looked like a frozen woolly mammoth. Interesting on the summit how many didn’t seem to have crampons or proper footwear for the conditions, even though they came up the tourist route.
when I seen you were on the Ben at the weekend with your clip on Insta I was looking fwd to this video..superb as always and glad yous got the conditions so late in the season..well that was my Wednesday night fix sorted ,cheers for that Murray , mark and the classy Mountain pundit Gerry Mcknee 🤣
Wowwww 🤩 this looks like it was such a fun adventure!! Despite it being spring, it's wild to see that much snow still up there ❄ Gotta love that classic Scottish weather 😂. That number two Gully looks intense! Thanks for sharing this awesome climb 👍
Great to see you all out together and doing such an amazing route. You can’t beat the north face of the Ben when it’s got its full winter coat on. Looks like you had a top adventure. All the best guys Dave 😀🥾⛰🏴🏴
@@ScotlandsMountains Day's like that live long in the soul and mind, i was lucky to be over in the Torridon's not long ago with a similar blessed couple of days. The high pressure days in late Winter/early Spring are brilliant for the vis, stunning views, no haze.
So good to see the three of you together again and what a superb video! I especially loved the shot of the huge boulder wearing a wig of icicles. Thanks to all three. Can’t wait for next week’s episode.
I can always remember hiking past it when I was finishing the WHW three years ago in mid May and it was completely covered in snow, I'll bet the snow can hang around in the gullies throughout the year if it's not subjected to the rays of the sun. Another fantastic video and thanks again.
What a climb.. I could imagine the energy it takes to climb up,especially the steep part Beautiful day and quite busy at the summit Your drone footage is so clear Well done as always 🇨🇦❤️
Thanks Murray for a great wee video. Hi to Mark and Gerry. The conditions looked good, and not much wind at the top. You guys made it look easy up the gully. Thanks again......Alioban ❤
Thank you. Knees have been fine - however had been a little sore before and after this hike as being doing a lot of hiking ! However been doing my physio and stretching religiously and adding some Tape when they are sore - also taking lots of Tumeric and Moringa and this week the knee has recovered perfectly - all ready for another adventure this weekend :)
Okay, so as I watch this from steamy, humid Texas, I'm not envious at all. 😂My gosh the Northern lights with the stars. Right after you put your crampons on, as y'all were headed to Gulley #2, you passed an ice formation that had formed on that rock. Kinda hard to put into words how beautiful that was. Once you guys ascended to the top (and nope, I didn't see you use a knee lol!) and you were looking at the North side - wow. Thanks Murray, got my day off to a great start.
Another great video Murray. It was nice to see you out and about with Gerry and Mark. A stroke of luck with the footprints from a previous climber. That cornice looked dodgy and well done Mark for getting to the to first. I couldn't believe how many people were there who obviously came up the donkey track. Look forward to the next mate. Stay safe.

@@ScotlandsMountains Yes, you’re so right about road safety or lack of it. I live in the US and go to Scotland every year. I drive but I’m always aware of the danger.
