Kudos man. I'm doing this right now on a 325xi & have spent hours trying to get to it. All I have off so far are the top filters and the engine cover. I tried to see what I was doing with a borescope but the orientation is incredibly hard to manage. A mirror was the best to get oriented. The small 1" mirror is ok but I'm thinking I need a slightly bigger one. I could lay across the engine & get both hands back there but not nearly enough force to remove dried on tubes. Something just occurred to me that could work, but it might be 6 of one, half dozen of the other. I'll update.
I did it without removing the heater hoses. I got the control valve out by pushing the end of it towards the front of the car and simultaneously push with your other hand towards the driver side to get it out of its slot
you do NOT need to remove your heater hoses or even touch anything in your coolant system to do this job. Maybe this man has big clumsy hands but the trick is to remove the solenoid entirely, remove and assemble the new vacuum lines to check valve then reinstall into the car. absolutely possible without and took me less than an hour to do with literally zero experience. just remove the disa valve, separate the brake booster and remove the firewall to the right of the intake for extra room and no one should have any issue with this.
I just took shrooms and the way you filmed and edited this video makes life surreal
Awesome video my friend! Thanks for your heard work and documenting your discovery for us! 🙏🏽😅

Would that vaccum leak make your car misfire?
