Final Boss Nyx is a very though / long Boss fight. LUCK plays a big role in here, and you need to be very lucky @ some points. I must say that this is 1 of the most challenging FINAL Bosses in a Video Game.
I got lucky at some points, and very lucky @ the end after Night Queen where everyone got status beside MC. If it wasn't for Tetrakarn, Akihiko could have screwed me.
get a armor that resist Elec/Ice/Fire to remove Everyone's weakness
Annoying moments:
1. Yukari being stupid not to use Mediarahan
2. Nyx using Almighty Attack 2 times
3. Hierophant - ''Rebellion / Revolution'' Followed up by a Almighty Attack, and lands a Critical
4. Lovers - If Charm Lands
5. Chariot - Power Charge Followed up by Akasha Arts
6. Justice - Where everyone just dies by Mahamaon (screws up with the character turns)
7. Strength - Power Charge Followed up by Death Bound
8. Hanged Man - Where everyone just dies by Mamudoon
9. Mitsuru being stupid to not use Mind Charge during Moonless Gown.
10. During Last Phase when Nyx is almost death he uses ''Night queen'' if this part works against you where everyone gets negative stats you're screwed.
11. If it decided to spam Night Queen earlier, and keeps spamming it.
Phases:
1. Fool - Just go all out
2. Magician - (Immune to Fire) Let Mitsuru deal with this while you power up for Priestess
3. Priestess - (Immune to Ice) After buffing up during Magician go all out on here
4. Empress - (Immune to Wind) Nothing to it
4. Emperor - (Immune to Elec) Nothing to it, but buff up to knock him out of the Hierophant Stage in 1 turn.
5. Hierophant - Uses Rebellion or Revolution which increases the crit chance, and followed up by a different attack. (Almighty Attack / Crit = annoying). Buffed up during the Emperor Phase, so it will be knocked out the Hierophant in 1 go.
6. Lovers - Get it fast out of this phase to incase everyone gets Charmed.
7 Chariot - Have some Attack Mirrors ready after it uses Power Charge.
8. Justice - (Immune to Fire / Ice) This is a very frustrating stage if it decides to keep spamming Mahamaon, and everyone would keep dieing to it. At this point characters start dieing, which screws up the order pattern of turns. Get it out of this phase fast.
9. Hermit - Nothing srs here
10 Fortune - (Immune to all element) Nothing srs here other than its immune to every element. Just Buff up for the next phase to knock him out of Strength.
11 Strength - Power Charge Followed by Death Bound. If you have Buffed you're self up you can take him down in 1 turn.
12 Hanged Man - Same as Justice, but he doesn't see to spam Mamudoon as much
13 Death - Final Phase. Here he will be using Almighty Attack more aggressively, and either Attack Down or Defense up is needed to survive 2x Almighty Attack's. During Moonless Gown Just Buff you're self up.
When Nyx is almost dead he will use his final skill (Night Queen), This is where LUCK needs to favor you, if everyone gets charmed, raged or distressed you will die. The most frustrating part is when he will use it earlier, and keeps spamming it from that moment on.
Its been 4 years that I last played this game. Persona 3 FES is a VERY GOOD GAME that offers a ton of Game Play hours. Its also pretty challenging (IMO) cuz of the non-controllable AI
I got in a Persona 3 FES mood, and I want to replay this game with better performance. Back in the days PCSX2 emulator was not that updated that it offerd Widescreen hacks to stretch out the Screen.

Nothing has pissed me off more then when NYX uses night queen and charmed akihiko and healed her 100% I just quit at that point
he looks rather hard to beat.

Nyx is the strongest villain in the series. It's stronger than Nyar because Nyx is Death while Nyar is the creator of shadows. If the Fall occurred, humanity is gone which means Nyar and Philemon too.(since they are related to humans.)
Nyx(Death) is absolute.
PS; Nyx isn't a villain but oh well.
+Levi Ackerman I see Nyx as a very powerful being, who is the malevolent form that can destroy the earth with no effort, but she does not take a side and only does (ironically, similar to the villains in the Megaten franchises) what humans want, but ACTUALLY knows instead of instead does nothing. This is why Erebus can reach Nyx who called forth the fall.

I was much unluckier with this fight than you were. Though I was playing the PSP version had had control of my party, Nyx was spamming Night Queen almost every turn in her final phase. I could barely keep up with the healing. Managed to beat it though.

i was lvl 76 with a surt that had mind charge, fire amp, fire boost, ragnarok, max Magic
i also never used a single soma because i thought they'd be more rare but i had a ton at the end of the game

Depends what specs you have. The specs I have now is 4 years old, and I have played this game on worse specs before.
If i remember correctly it was:
CPU: quad core 2.4ish GHZ
GPU: GT 960 or 80
RAM: 4GB
I'm sure that you should have better specs than this.

I just pressed triangle most of the time and finished her final form off with an Armageddon
Well of course she is easy if you are lvl99 AND Have that move :D (she is no joke on Hard/Maniac, either way ^_^)

I finished her with all physical attacks without wasting my SP, While the party members I use (Yukari, Akihiko, and Aigis) just spam the rest.

I just got to Nyx, and she/he/it killed me when Yukari decided that she forgot about both Mediarama and Mediarahan..
Lower the enemy's hit-rate and attack power! It is the only way!

Out of curiosity, did the fact that you put everyone on full assault affect wether or not your charmed party uses diarahan on the enemy?
Surt is an excellent recommendation, but I would choose Yoshitune. Here is why:

Man, Yukari's AI is absolutely not made to handle hard mode. Party having 3/4 HP isnt such a big deal on any lesser difficulty, but on hard that's well within KO range. Lots of close calls.

I just stuck at inteprid knight on hard, and quit immediately lmao. It's my 2nd playthrough but didn't start at NG+. Coz my save file is at lvl 97 so it won't be much of a challenge if i start NG+. But now i kinda regret it lmao

I'm not going to finish the final boss so I'm watching this video instead. The fight is just very long, boring and depends a lot of luck. And after the last two months of the game where nothing happens, I'm done with this game....

i'd suggest one that has a null against dark. Mostly because Nyx has instant death attacks and you don't want her to cheap you out with the MC just randomly dying.

Why is this fight so long?
Final boss with 12 phases worth 1500 HP each and a final phase worth 6000 HP for a total of 24k HP.
For comparison, Izanami has 2 forms of 3500 HP and 4000 HP for a total of 7.5k HP iirc.

Why did u choose Akihiko,Yukari,&Mitsuru as your party members??
Yukari for her Mediarahan (early level compare to ken), Akihiko for his debuffs, and Mitsuro for Damage.
The problem is that you can't control you're characters or else I would have replaced either Akihiko or Mitsuro with Aigis for her buffs, so the MC doesn't have to use it by him self.
