Why You Should Let Neurodivergent Kids Have Special Interests (From a Neurodivergent Adult)

- Neurodivergent kids grow up to be neurodivergent adults like myself. Here's my perspective on why you should let kids be passionate about whatever they're passionate about (clinically termed "special interests" or "hyperfixations") and use that as a point to connect with them and/or a jumping off point to help them learn, rather than trying to force them into a mold that doesn't fit. It's what I wish my parents had done for me.

The collective special interests between myself and my brother mean we are constantly teaching each other new things!
I love that! I've never found it annoying when people infodump; always love hearing what someone else is passionate about! (even moreso for those close to me) 😊
Hi I subscribed to your channel after I read "Lillith's Brood." It was an awesome read and I loved your review. I hate you had a bad experience with getting your book, but I guess it worded out in the end. Peace ✌️
P.S
I did not know she was a young black girl until I watched your review. Thanks again for the info. I don't know if I just missed it or what, but I went back, reread A few things and sure enough. 😅
