When I pit my Malibu V drive in I back close to the dock that I'm going to tie off to. Once the boat is floating I just walk it back. Those round thingies that you put on the side of your boar are called bumpers. Good quality video, and the drone video was awesome! Thanks for posting
Note: The parking brake only works on back tires. If rear tires are barely in water and ramp is slick. Possible vehicle in lake. If someone is in truck holding food brake keeps front brakes locked as well to prevent this. So when by yourself always try and not put rear tires in water if possible.
The trailer guide poles would rub all the way up the side of the boat as I pulled out. And you risk hitting a tracking fin on the trailer as its coming out. This video also is a docking tutorial

I could, but there's not really a reason that I don't. I'll use it sometimes when I am suspicious of fumes, but driving to the lake can bring some airflow through the boat on the drive there so
My uncle and his wife blew up a boat starting it. She didn't make it. Use the blower or lift the hatch every time, For those wondering, he was in a coma for a year and couldn't walk awhile... so yeah.. it was an accident..
@@mattygwake The gas fumes, heavier than air, can collect in the bilge area below the deck. It is for this reason that the intake for the blower is located down further near the bottom of the transom and the blower should be used whenever the boat is not moving.
@@cooperrobt12 wow im reading these like you know how many time i started our old Reinell boat that thing wreaked of fumes in the hatches glad we were alright going to tell my pop this tip!
You shouldn't need to full dock at all. one is a boat driver, one is a car driver. when the boat is launched drive the boat out in the open water away from everyone else launching their boats. when the car is parked and the driver is ready to board. idle up to dock let people jump in then leave again. parking at the dock is borderline rude and its definitely annoying for other boat drivers waiting on passengers.
I appreciate your efforts, however, you are still very young to try and teach others how to properly launch a boat and do it safely! All that just comes with time and experience!

For future reference, start your boat engine before you detach the winch line. Just in case it doesn't start

Or just leave it in FWD -drive with E-brake applied.
@@dalltexwhat if don’t have 4x4 ?
@@LB7AmoneyIf no 4x4 then agree with someone holding brake pedal down. So many variables but for 95% of the time this is the best way.
Just curious why didnt you just launch it besides the dock where you moved it to?

There is a reason and you should turn the blower on to prevent an explosion.

U can launch ur boat in the middle as long as u have a driver in there.
Inboards cause the most trouble I swear

This is what you would do when by yourself
