+Nick Pierik The target market for supplements is.......male teenagers. The reality is that teenage lack of patience means they will try something if they read other people getting results. We then have the nattie lie distorting what is a naturally achievable and healthy body. Is it healthy for a man to maintain competition levels of fat with a very low fat diet diet year round? No!!! No one cares what they take Lee. The problem is that they say they are natural and they give advice saying to do this, do that, you should be doing this and NOT that. It's missleading
It is misleading. Steroids obviously makes progressing in fitness/bodybuilding much easier. Your mindset is changed drastically to a level that mentally makes you able to lift more, your repair rate of muscles are sped up drastically, and nutrients are absorbed more within the food you eat! Of course all of this great sounding stuff does come with a price, believe that! So someone who is on gear THINKS that what works for them will work for someone else, that is NOT true. They don’t experience the lengthy recovery times, they don’t experience having to find ways mentally to push yourself without a drug making it significantly easier to do so, they don’t have to eat and supplement the same way as a natural they can eat anything and grow if they dose right. So yeah this guy is a slap in the face to ever bodybuilder on this planet . These guys are the ones slowing the growth of fitness/ bodybuilding. And yet we pay them to discourage more than they encourage with advice that yes does work somewhat but not as efficiently as a true natural would know....
Worst response from Lee yet. Of course we care. It's important. The use if drugs in any sport, competition, endeavor creates an artificially raised level of expectation. One guy hits 20 home runs, the other hits 50 using steroids secretly. The bar had been raised. 50 is the new expectation. Not just for the steroid user, for everyone. So yes we care. Yes it matters.
I remember being in elementary school and always feeling bad for those kids who struggled to read whenever the teacher called on them. Now I'm here again listening to a man have a difficult time getting through a question wrote in the format from something you'd see out of an 8th grader....
Ive always been a Lee fan, for many, many years now and for many, many reasons. Lee is a class act for many reasons. 2 of them reasons Id like to mention here are, first he is an IFBB Champion, meaning he has won an IFBB Pro show, but before, during and after never was an arrogant champion, but always a humble and kind man. Second, the bodybuilding/health & fitness industry is very competitive and cutthroat, to hear how Lee praises O'Hearn , instead of dissing him, made me smile and think, "Yep, Lee is STILL the man!" Good on ya mate. From Canada.
lee is totally right is all about genetics.i always worked out but was never really 100 percent into about a year ago i started giving it my all taking creatine glutamine n bcaa's n went from 189 to my current weight of 253 with a lil gut but only because im eating 8 meals a day n not doing alot of cardio so getting big naturally is possible if u do it 100 percent workin out 5 times a week n never missin a meal!
Disliked the answer. This is the answer that a pro will give you. A pro is someone that has taken steroids so "the steroids controversy" is meaningless to them. So asking a pro "his take" on this topic is like asking Bill Gates what he thinks about "fake billionaires."
Yeah, the perspective of a pro is vastly different from those people trying to learn what is truly attainable naturally. The points Lee makes are valid, but are not valid answers to the question at hand. These answers are valid in response to "what reasons there be to lie about steroid use?" or "why do people hie steroid use?" This answer is more of an escape from the question.
Well I think that people that have devoted some study to this topic HAVE A GOOD IDEA of what can be done naturally. But we see what seems to be obvious false advertisement, and so this is a "bullshit spotting campaign." If folks like Mike Ohearn and Simeon just SAID NOTHING on the topic of steroids, THEN there would be no controversy. So even though I am 99% sure of what can be done naturally, I know there are plenty of folks thinking "I can look like Mike Ohearn, I just have to lift harder and for x more years..." We just want to see truth honesty clarity and accuracy prevail.
I think asking a pro bodybuilder about who's on steroids is a touchy subject. It's obvious that the fake nattys are misleading people and suckering them. I think people like Lee are just sick and tired of hearing about it, because it usually winds up attacking their character, so they get pissed and say to mind your own business.
i didn't know Lee Priest really at all.. had seen him in passing on various BB videos, and dismissed him (probably even judged him based on his tattoos and piercings).. but having recently taken the time to listen to him over a few of his own videos i've come to like and respect him a lot. he's full of laidback commonsense, has a good heart and seems like a thoroughly decent guy. i will listen to him a lot more in future. i wish him well.
It matters because they make the claim...if they use and say they don't to sell products that gives unrealistic expectations to young newbies who'll only end up using anyway to get the look...wouldn't the main goal of the health and fitness industry be to keep people healthy and fit??
Great video. I would love to put it up on my UA-cam channel assuming you are OK with it. I would send people your way from my youtube IG & Facebook. Just let me know and again great video 💪
Mike...love your channel bro! You should do a video about developing benching strength and benching techniques! Would love to see something like that and with deadlifts too from you and your take on that! :) I sadly don't squat anymore because of my bad knees now :(
When Mike O'Tren comments on a video that is 3 years old, you know someone is still worried and bothered about what people think or say. If you didn't give a shit or it was true you wouldn't even have to explain yourself to no one.
Perfect answer, Lee. The only reason so many people accuse self-proclaimed naturals of being liars is because it makes them feel better about their inferior results! I mean, no one on earth could possibly have amazing genetics, plus a great training/diet lifestyle... and look like THAT!! Not without gear! What a pathetic, disempowering mind-set for lifters to embrace. Pointing the finger at someone with a better hand of cards never improves your own.
I just want Lee to know that my firs impulse when I saw the subject here was to post a comment taking a crack at O'Hearn, but Lees words really made sense to me. Who am I to put down someone I don't know and who has no effect on my life whatsoever. So, thank you, lee for talking some sense and reminding me to be a bit kinder and more sensitive . Of course, some would argue that +'Hearn is doing harm to young kids, by selling them useless bodybuilding products, But let's face it , really, unless they've never worked out at all and never been to a gym, everyone is aware that steroids ar used by bodybuilders and have been for decades. So, who are these naive innocent children he's supposedly tricking not buying $700 suppliments? At any rate, any schmuck who spends hundreds on duck egg extract in order togrow muscle, but hasn't even taken the time to do the slightest amount of research on the subject, is pretty much a lost cause, anyway. There's little point in worrying about how much money they spend- they are probably going to strangle themselves to death while tying their shoelaces sooner or later
today is the proudest day of my life because i got to see my very own bodybuilding book in the book shop for the very first time and when i went into the book shop and i said to the man who works there that it was my book on the shelf he couldnt believe it and he picked me up and he put me on his shoulders and he walked around the book shop showing me off to everyone and loads of people started crowding around me on the mans shoulders and they started clapping and cheering my name and then the man rolled up my trouser legs and he let everyone have a kiss my of legs for ages and then when he put me down a little boy came over to me and he said one day i would like to be a bodybuilding artist like you and i grabbed the little boy by his shoulders and i shook him quite hard and i said you can be anything you want to be little boy and then i put him on my shoulders and i walked out of the book shop feeling like the most proudest man who has ever been alive. thank you lee priest. do a like click on this bit to make yourself feel more positive. thanks.
He are a nutcase , if anyone belives him they are retarded. UA-cam have created mutants and are a market for lazy people and nutcases. And if anyone belives that olysses or ohearn are natural they are just dumb....for real.
I know a couple of truly natural pros who've got podiums at big shows and they never talk the users down... They just try and aim up knock them off.... Make the victory much sweeter.... Proud to say they're Australian guys too
Lee, it's not that we care about what they do, but when they go out there, blatantly lie, advertise a stupid supplement, & altogether benefit from their lies, it really tips people off. Some young kids really idolise these athletes. When these athletes come out & say 'take this pre workout, this aminos, this casien, this oxyshred, this post, this, & this, & you will look like me in 5 years,' these poor young adults are being deceived into spending their hard earned money on an overrated product their guru advised them to take, even though many of the athletes' enhanced gains were not 'supplemented' by these products, but simply by drugs. Extreme muscle enhancing drugs. Simple. With great influence, comes great responsibility, & when you make tonnes of money by exploiting young people through deception, you really should re- evaluate your morals & maybe reconsider being someone people idolise in the fitness industry. I'm not saying 'you' should, but the people we are talking about. You know what I mean.
John Doe I know because everybody lies, especially when money is involved. So you mention someone I don't know, laugh, and call me a *'fucking retarded sheep?'* Well isn't that ironic?
+John Doe because alot of us that do use gear know that these guys lie about being natural, there is nothing wrong with using, just stop advertising that supplements like protien make you look like phil heath just becuase he said "i use this" after 35+ years in the gym ive seen alot of young people believe this crap.....thats basically why...
Plenty of people ik that are way more jacked without even working out then dudes on juice it really is genetics also people that work hard labor more likely to push themselves
And we do the hokey pokey... Can’t say enough about how I love this guy, Lee. After looking at photos of body builders for 2 decades, this guy splashes onto the scene. I said, “holy shite”. He was amazing at that theme. Lee musta’ been about 25? Now, to see he’s got opinions and a great personality to boot. He the man, fork the IFBB for not gettin’ that.
"Who cares what they're on, worry about yourself and train hard, because I sure understand what it feels to be a natty, being a lifelong 100% good Creatine natty myself."
My problem with fake natties, is that they give a false impression of what is achievable, for people who won't risk their health in order to get in their best shape possible. So people may give up on training, thinking that they have chitty genes for bodybuilding when in fact they are comparing themselves to people who cheats.
after this video, i stopped watching lee priest or take him seriously. his answer is not what i would expect from a honest person who is semi retired and who doesnt care about anything else but truth. yes it matters that somebody claims it's natural, but isn't as it has many implications on the psyche and health of unaware public as I once was....lost respect for Lee after this video and don't watch him anymore....
Just assume every one is on it. BAM problem solved. And like Priest said in the video, "I've never seen him actually take it, there for I can't say with 100 percent if he is or he isn't". Go worry about something that actually matters. Oh and btw, I'm glad you don't watch him anymore. Now we don't have to watch you cry about shit every one already knows. BYE
It bugs people because they're getting away with lying to the public to make money. And usyless was caught with that gyno pic from 2010. He changed his profile on Instagram from natural bodybuilding icon to just bodybuilding icon lol Got caught!
Mike says you can achieve a good body by lifting heavy and dieting ( which you can ) he doesn’t sell supplements on his videos the guy works out at 4 am doesn’t party eats healthy sleeps five hours a night and has done amazing things and changed peoples life , stop hating on him
Great response... i think the people who stay natural and finally figure out what it takes to get close to a Mike O'Hearn look after several years of hard work become very disenfranchised with these type of athletes, having been drawn into the sport by these people... they finally come to the realisation that they now need to break the law and play with their hormonal system to obtain a physique just shy of what they work so hard for
It matters because people who don't use flat want a good base example with several subjects of 1 group who uses and 1 group who doesnt so folks CAN see how it truly affects MOST people generally. Amature Naturalists generally want to know how big people can get without " gear". This is WHY people care. I think Priest knows this. That said, Preist is a wild man and much respected by many for his honesty.
I once read in a bodybuilding mag (either muscle mag or Bill Philips magazine) about 14 years ago that lee Priest had a bad heart and the diagnosis was not good, and the advice the Dr gave was to quit weight training immediately , so apparently on this news he went straight to the gym to do sets on the leg press of 2000lbs, to test the theory of the doctor's diagnosis that his heart would fail if he ever stepped into a gym again. This article did exist back in the day, but it is a prime example of the shit that can get made up about pro bodybuilders. When I read the article I was concerned and thought Lee must be a major Kamakasie with a death wish. But, here 14 years later he is in great health, physically and mentally, and it just opens your eyes up to the absolute bullshit rumours that they have to put up with. Anyone else remember reading about that one, before 2000 I think?
Who gives a shit, gear, no gear, genetics, no genetics...they work out hard as fuck! Some use and some do not and some are just more "gifted" than others! If they use that just makes them even more physically developed if you will! This is their livelihood and I can see why this is still kind of tabu, and not for everybody, and some can get seriously hurt from this too! This still doesn't mean that they do not work insanely hard for it every day...they just choose not to share their entire lives with the public, like Rich Piana may he rest in peace, that's all! This is their life and they are passionate about it and they are merely ...who cares what they did to come to where they are now! Most are still good people and trying to set a good example, which people can choose to follow or not as a baseline, nothing else! If they use gear then they do and if you want to yourselves then you'll have to make that personal choice, you and no other! That's how I feel about it natty or enhanced I don't really judge anyone! I try to look beyond the mere words spoken and look at how the person is, how they act, their kindness, if they are helpfull, setting good baselines and examples for people, hard-working, have a good hart and etc, I don't care what they use to augment themselves with, just like people don't care whether tits are fake or not! I do however see "both sides of the coin" if you will, so I do understand if some people can feel like they have been mislead...all I'm saying is I don't care what people use or if they use I just care about how they are and act!
Sometimes I get annoyed because while I am exceptionally large in the chest and lats. I get annoyed because I have to work twice as hard just to be as big as some of the juicers.
The issue isn't that these guys take roids it that they claim to be natty and they give misleading information to guys that are inexperienced and believe that they too can get like mike ohearn just following mike's simple steps which is totally untrue
First off, Lee gave a responsible answer. You can't just slander people just because your a known figure in a certain community. Second off the guy answered his own question. If a guy looks like Arnold and Arnold had great genetics and Arnold told us he did gear, then do the math. Third, natty guys need to stop pointing fingers at guys on gear and acting like it's the magic pill, most of the athletes you watch on UA-cam have been CONSISTENTLY training and dieting for years, and more importantly they know their bodies. Before you even touch gear you should know how your own body responds to different things. Always enjoy a Lee video. God bless you all.
He's right on the money with this one. Who gives a shit if another person says they are natural or not, you don't have to watch their videos buy their products.
The comments seemed to be split on his answer. I thought it was a great answer. You have to remember, he comes from a generation before this current 'social media' generation where you status update/tweet/vlog every detail about your life - almost as if vomiting up every detail of your life, good or bad, somehow makes you a better and more honest person. I think Lee is absolutely correct in his assessment. No one should share that info if it will bring harm to their careers, and we shouldn't care either. It doesn't impact any aspect of my life.
Been lifting over 45 years...as I get close to 60 to me it would be great to know for sure if some of the guys like Mike ohern and a couple of other big older guys like myself are totally natural or not...the reason being if they are in fact natural i would train harder, better and adjust my diet believing I could get a similar physic...bodybuilding is about believing and achieving...I am drug free and would never use regardless, but knowing the truth would be a plus in belief you are training correctly or not...I made the best gains from 18 to 19 before I learned Arnold and Franco ever used drugs...but I most definitely over trained to try to look like them...the truth would help all trainer's young and old imo...

So yeah this guy is a slap in the face to ever bodybuilder on this planet . These guys are the ones slowing the growth of fitness/ bodybuilding. And yet we pay them to discourage more than they encourage with advice that yes does work somewhat but not as efficiently as a true natural would know....
The guy who sent the email was expecting Lee to rip into the 'fake natties'... Lol
lol yeah probably one of blaha's insecure as duck subscribers
+John Doe Bunch of lazy losers who focus more on others then on themselves, aka definition of underachievers in life.
LOL
Worst response from Lee yet. Of course we care. It's important. The use if drugs in any sport, competition, endeavor creates an artificially raised level of expectation.
One guy hits 20 home runs, the other hits 50 using steroids secretly. The bar had been raised. 50 is the new expectation. Not just for the steroid user, for everyone.
So yes we care. Yes it matters.
So one athlete is willing to do more to perform at a super human level than the other.
it's bro code he's not going to bad mouth other lifters man and accuse them of juice even though it's common sense they all do!
Finally!/a truthful comment and yet all these idiots are mad because he didn't give a narrow opinionated answer. Nice
I eat 13 meals a day
I eat 2 meals and gained 80lbs of muscle in 18 month. All in the food😳
190 to 250? And no gear? Sounds like you go morbidly obese
I eat 1/2 meal a day and take water i train 23 times a week, have gained 500 pounds of lean muscle in 1 month. All genetics baby.
Disliked the answer. This is the answer that a pro will give you. A pro is someone that has taken steroids so "the steroids controversy" is meaningless to them. So asking a pro "his take" on this topic is like asking Bill Gates what he thinks about "fake billionaires."
+capoman1 I agree, he seemed to be very defensive about it.
Yeah, the perspective of a pro is vastly different from those people trying to learn what is truly attainable naturally.
The points Lee makes are valid, but are not valid answers to the question at hand. These answers are valid in response to "what reasons there be to lie about steroid use?" or "why do people hie steroid use?"
This answer is more of an escape from the question.
+capoman1 best way to learn what is truly naturally attainable is to go to the gym and find out.
Well I think that people that have devoted some study to this topic HAVE A GOOD IDEA of what can be done naturally. But we see what seems to be obvious false advertisement, and so this is a "bullshit spotting campaign."
If folks like Mike Ohearn and Simeon just SAID NOTHING on the topic of steroids, THEN there would be no controversy.
So even though I am 99% sure of what can be done naturally, I know there are plenty of folks thinking "I can look like Mike Ohearn, I just have to lift harder and for x more years..."
We just want to see truth honesty clarity and accuracy prevail.
love Lee's sense of humour and straight honesty..hilarious!
Lee ain’t no punk a$$ snatch! He is a real man who just told the haters to stop believing in fairytales and act like grownups
listening to you read that question/letter was agonizing bud...
Lee Priest: "sounds like the guy's gettin' off" LMFAO! 😂🤣 he killed me
I think asking a pro bodybuilder about who's on steroids is a touchy subject. It's obvious that the fake nattys are misleading people and suckering them. I think people like Lee are just sick and tired of hearing about it, because it usually winds up attacking their character, so they get pissed and say to mind your own business.
I love this guy's truthfulness.
Oh mate, they dragged the interviewer straight out of the bush!
Haha crocodile Dundee
i didn't know Lee Priest really at all.. had seen him in passing on various BB videos, and dismissed him (probably even judged him based on his tattoos and piercings).. but having recently taken the time to listen to him over a few of his own videos i've come to like and respect him a lot. he's full of laidback commonsense, has a good heart and seems like a thoroughly decent guy. i will listen to him a lot more in future. i wish him well.
It matters because they make the claim...if they use and say they don't to sell products that gives unrealistic expectations to young newbies who'll only end up using anyway to get the look...wouldn't the main goal of the health and fitness industry be to keep people healthy and fit??
Just worry about yourself... Words to Live by
Great video.
:) I sadly don't squat anymore because of my bad knees now :(
Your not entitled to anything but the Victim you play, that's why your a Walking piece of Meat Id feed to my Dog
When Mike O'Tren comments on a video that is 3 years old, you know someone is still worried and bothered about what people think or say. If you didn't give a shit or it was true you wouldn't even have to explain yourself to no one.
Kippax123456789 hahaha true mate
mike o tren pls
Nice one Sam, Lee's answer to these questions are pure gold mate
Perfect answer, Lee. The only reason so many people accuse self-proclaimed naturals of being liars is because it makes them feel better about their inferior results! I mean, no one on earth could possibly have amazing genetics, plus a great training/diet lifestyle... and look like THAT!! Not without gear! What a pathetic, disempowering mind-set for lifters to embrace. Pointing the finger at someone with a better hand of cards never improves your own.
Brint Hollis Perfect answer
+hexum7 Exactly...
all those guys listed are well known fitness figures and Lee don't even know them or pay them any mind lol! True legend, man!
lasagna eggnog
Fucking hell that was the longest question I've ever heard had to run out and make a cuppa half way through and he was still going 😂
The worst answer you totally missed the question
shane donohue
Maybe you should post a response.
Turd burglar.
shane donohue No, you missed the great point he made
Not really
today is the proudest day of my life because i got to see my very own bodybuilding book in the book shop for the very first time and when i went into the book shop and i said to the man who works there that it was my book on the shelf he couldnt believe it and he picked me up and he put me on his shoulders and he walked around the book shop showing me off to everyone and loads of people started crowding around me on the mans shoulders and they started clapping and cheering my name and then the man rolled up my trouser legs and he let everyone have a kiss my of legs for ages and then when he put me down a little boy came over to me and he said one day i would like to be a bodybuilding artist like you and i grabbed the little boy by his shoulders and i shook him quite hard and i said you can be anything you want to be little boy and then i put him on my shoulders and i walked out of the book shop feeling like the most proudest man who has ever been alive. thank you lee priest.
do a like click on this bit to make yourself feel more positive. thanks.
Someone should make a video about Jason Blaha - "How to Spot a Fake Ex-CIA Agent"
3:16 "And like I said, what difference does it make to us? just TREN and who cares..."
Lol
"Who cares what they're on, worry about yourself and train hard, because I sure understand what it feels to be a natty, being a lifelong 100% good Creatine natty myself."
shut the fuck up you pathetic failure
Gee, moody af... bad pct?
You can say what you want about Priest, but he always has a positive additude towards people. good guy :)
I'm sure Lee will be devastated over this news
I'm sure Lee will be devastated over this news
+Jay Jester King lol nice humour bro
Just assume every one is on it. BAM problem solved. And like Priest said in the video, "I've never seen him actually take it, there for I can't say with 100 percent if he is or he isn't". Go worry about something that actually matters. Oh and btw, I'm glad you don't watch him anymore. Now we don't have to watch you cry about shit every one already knows. BYE
Martin max
I'm sure he'll miss you.
Lance Armstrong was natty until he came clean.
It bugs people because they're getting away with lying to the public to make money.
And usyless was caught with that gyno pic from 2010. He changed his profile on Instagram from natural bodybuilding icon to just bodybuilding icon lol
Got caught!
+Yair Gutierrez Who cares. Every commercial that comes on TV is lying.
Spoken like a true champion!
Mike says you can achieve a good body by lifting heavy and dieting ( which you can ) he doesn’t sell supplements on his videos the guy works out at 4 am doesn’t party eats healthy sleeps five hours a night and has done amazing things and changed peoples life , stop hating on him
NO ITS AFFECTS YOUNG CHILDREN THAT THINK THIS BODYS CAN BE ACHIVED NATURALE
Shut up snowdrop
This is the most intelligent answer i've ever heard on the subject.
"Do you want me to read it again?" No I fucking don't. 😂
He could barely read it the first time.
Reading really is fundamental.
Lazar Lasanga is my favorit natty Lasanga
Lasagna egg nog
Great response... i think the people who stay natural and finally figure out what it takes to get close to a Mike O'Hearn look after several years of hard work become very disenfranchised with these type of athletes, having been drawn into the sport by these people... they finally come to the realisation that they now need to break the law and play with their hormonal system to obtain a physique just shy of what they work so hard for
Crap answer Lee very crap.........
Awesome video we need more people exposing Mike O'Hearn for what he is doing! We just finished our video to Mike Please check it out :)
+dumnbuger and you are a whining bitch
I love fuckin love how honest Lee is
“Sounds like this guys getting off” 🤣🤣🤣
Gentleman's answer to the topic by LEE salute
There is a real good manners in sports. He was truly a bodybuilder.
LP, words of wisdom from a man I respect. Cheers -Mike
I like his answer! Worry about yourself and forget about these other guys. Be the best you can be!
Good stuff man
Well said LP, spot on 100%!!! 👍
Damn Lee is stoned as hell from those meds :D Haha
i thought i hit the wrong video..that first clip looked like an umpa lumpa working out
Lasagne eggnog hahahahahhahaha...love these vids
Don’t think he did 2000lbs legs day. Your obviously deluded. Gear is unhealthy full stop.
exactly bro, a lot of shit is made up about steroids and bodybuilding
Said like a true G!
Great vids 👍🏻 and real talk
Bullcrap.
Lasagne Eggnog is my favourite natural bodybuilder.
Killed it with answer well said
Fucking love this response Lee. Spot on - Legend!
Im a fan and even more now..your point of view shows your more than meets the eye
Love the answer mate thanks
Lasagna Eggnog XD...I'm dead
when youre competing against people who say are natty but are obiously not , u have to worry about them
First off, Lee gave a responsible answer.
Who gives a shit if another person says they are natural or not, you don't have to watch their videos buy their products.
fam why is this geezer so chill??
hey Sam, please ask Lee apart from bodybuilding what other hobbies \ passions dose he have? really loving these videos thanks! - Chris
finally lee priest says it like it is I feel the same way worry about your own workout and not about the next guy and you will be happier
It doesn't impact any aspect of my life.
lmao the guy in the background laughing
It's not about whether people care or not....it's about whether the physiques they have can be achieved and maintained without resorting to PED's.
What a long question even Lee Said Bloody Hell😂
Mike O'Hearn is my favorite fake natural.
Why all the dislikes? he just keeping it real..
Quotation marks are called "inverted commas" by people in Australia because Australia is upside-down. MERICA!!!
anybody who looks good is accused of taking shit. people actually were respectful to eachother and had some trust and were honest in the 80's and before.
