Bavan Kingdom Black Friday and cyber monday is coming up, it should be 199.99. I’m aiming to get the oculus quest early before Christmas, 35 usd a day u should get it right on Friday.
My first “Vr headset” was the Google Cardboard and I was astonished at how cool it was at the time. Then I tried out the oculus quest and I saw the google cardboard as a 2 year old toy.
I appreciate the feedback everyone. Once I had some money I purchased the Oculus Quest (128 GB version) and decided to get for accessories along with it all through Amazon. 1.) Controller grips. (blue) 2.) Spare visor replacements. (blue) 3.) Official One-in-one carrying case. (black with blue interior) 4.) And a nice looking prop-up display stand that holds the headset and both controllers. All of the accessories shipped together on the same day within just a few days shortly after ordering now I'm just waiting on the Oculus Quest itself, I'm very excited! (\^o^/)

I watched him too and decided to get a oculus quest, it is a great headset in my opinion. It looks really nice and I love how there is no cables, as a beginner it looks really cool. This is my opinion though.
To think that I'll get an Oculus Quest in 4 days. My birthday was just yesterday and I'm very excited. I watched this to get information about other headsets, but mostly Quest. I just bought the Oculus Go after a friend showed me his. I’m not much of a gamer, but I love visual content. It’s definitely more immersive than a flat screen like a tv, phone, or tablet.
This is truly the gold standard of what a review video can be. I learned SO MUCH within such a short time from this video. Absolutely flawless execution. Honestly, I’m blown away 😳🔥🤩🙌

My first experience with VR was at some car festival, in like 2015, where I used an Oculus DK1 or 2, and it was a great experience that has had me obsessed with VR since. When the Google Cardboard came out I got it to try it and I enjoyed it, making me want the HTC Vive more. In 2017 though the Oculus CV1 went on sale so I got that and have had it since. I may upgrade to a new headset in the future, but it's just really fun imo. So if anyone is kinda on the edge and wondering if VR is worth it, I would say that it is worth it, especially now with so many offerings, but if you try something cheap like the Google Cardboard, also understand that it is nowhere near the immersion that you will feel on a newer headset, so Don't let that put you off.
@@brrrkic 1st it can, and what I said was kind of an excuse also there is some warranty problems you know like I was planning to buy it from ebay but if the device does not work when I get it then I can have some issues with warranty and giving it back also if they accept getting it back then I'll have to give 60-100 dolars for shipping so it's kind of complicated and crappy.
I’d say it is still a glimpse into what vr is for no real cost. People aren’t just going to spend a good amount of money to try a new type of console with no real well known titles to laymen
Oculus Quest is THE BEST vr headset of all time!! And the reason why it WILL out sale any other headset is because Oculus/Facebook is making vr social! Tonight I took my Quest to a friends game night party, and it was instantly a hit! I let everyone try a starter experience Nat Geo Explorer/ First Steps/First Contact/Tilt Brush just to get their feet wet.. and then we played Acron for hours! Everyone was dying of laughter unlike I’ve ever seen at a social event!😆 When we finished everyone there asked me how much, and after I told them they replied “THAT’S IT?!” And said their going to buy one! So besides all the user friendly stuff and all the incredible tech & add on features that make this headset so incredibly awesome! What sets it apart the most is it’s ability to show people what VR is all about!
nothing to ad, the Quest has changed my life to the better. I never would have thought I would be doing squats(!!) in the early morning (elven assassin), work up quite a sweaty workout with beat saber and finish it of which a very relaxing and enjoyable Tai chi session, all within 20 min and having lots of fun doing so (I am a night owl). And the list goes on checking out travel locations in advance (wanderer), meeting and playing games with strangers (rec room and co), creat new art, 3d fly into body parts and other scientific apps etc and all the fun games in-between. Everyone who tried it bought one and then their partners and so on, it is sooo easy to use and unfortunately terribly addictive:-)
Watch: Before I scroll down to look at replies, there's gonna be that one guy who got a headset that is now outdated and/or worse then the competition, and is gonna say something about how their headset is still, and will always be the best. Edit: I was wrong!

Great video! VR has restored my passion for gaming that had been dwindling for the last few years. I choose the PSVR and have been incredibly happy with it. I plan on getting a Quest as well, the only thing holding me back from a PC based HMD is the price of a strong gaming PC. I've put over 1500 hours in my headset and am still hungry for more.
Are mobile phone headsets the only option for viewing user-generated content such as UA-cam VR? I'm looking for travel VR and unique real world experiences that maybe can't be found in the "app stores"
I remember when i was a bit younger, about in 2016-ish, I would get some cardboard and make a vr headset thing for my mom’s phone and I used a rubber band or something to strap the phone to the headset and strap the headset to my head

My first “vr” was the one you put your phone in, but since I was younger I thought it was a really cheap vr and then found out it was just a plastic area for your phone with lenses-
I've had the original oculus rift around 2 years now and it's held up very well. I don't really play much Vr, but the oculus rift original is very good as a starting point in PC Vr. Although, I do plan on upgrading to the valve index somewhere in the future, but for now, I'll stick with my oldie but goody.
In States you can find Windows MR Headsets for silly prices like $150 even $120. If you can't afford to spend more I would say they're a good first choice.
The samsung odyssey plus sells for about $230 here, and it's got all the features of the vive pro plus an SDE filter, with the only downside being inside-out tracking

After saying that you have every consumer VR headset available, you failed to mention any WMR headsets, like the HP Reverb, which has a higher resolution than any of the headsets you featured, or the Odyssey +, which is currently the one of the best values for the dollar.
I got the odyssey it's awesome $230 on samsung's website w/ controllers & batteries for controllers included, can do anything the other headsets, except the knuckles.
@@Moonshine449 The Index is 1440/1600/eye, which is the same as the Odyssey+. The Reverb is 2160x2160/eye, which is significantly higher than the Index.
I got a Quest for Christmas and one thing that you didnt cover is that there still arent many games available on the official Oculus store and even now at the end of December the catalog of games is only growing in very small numbers

The only thing good about the Odyssey is the resolution. The tracking and controllers are well lacking to say the least and considering it's the price of a Oculus quest or rift s there's no way I could recommend the Odyssey or the Odyssey plus over them Oculus devices

If your trying to get an oculus quest 2 they are basically out of stock, I’m lucky my grandma found me one. Try looking online as much as possible and try going to some stores and ask them about it. If you are interested in a VR headset do lots of research, I got an Oculus Rift S and I didn’t realize that you connect it to your PC via Display port and not USB, I had to return it and get an Oculus Quest. Don’t be like me, do research.

Keep talking and nobody explodes is a great vr game that only requires one headset! One person uses the computer to read a bomb defusal manual, meanwhile the headset user actually has the bomb, and both must work together to defuse it! Other games like rec room, vr chat, and farpoint are also pretty good multiplayer vr games

Guys, ill make this simple. If you want great standalone, and possibly pcvr (i play boneworks on quest), than get the quest. Rift S is an abandoned dead-end platform, and the Index is only for those who can pay for ultimate immersion.
I swear, in all of southern Ontario, the only VR headset you can find without ordering online was the Vive Cosmos. Since I can't get a credit card and order things online; I got a Cosmos. It's awesome :D

Don't count on Link being actually viable. With the amount of latency involved, it won't be a playable experience for 99.9% of everyone. Same with finger tracking, it;s a gimmick that will never be used unless in a very specific setting (just navigating in menus pretty much) that pretty much comes down to just better to use the controllers for. The Quest is amazing on it's own!
My husband and I are in our 70's. We are both getting stir crazy after being self-isolated sincee early this year. Are there VR experiences through any of thses headsets that would allow us to go traveling virtually to other places like state parks, Taj Mahal. Also are threre any slow-paced games available that would be more suited to our not-so-lightning reflexes?
At my dad’s house I have a Valve index and at my mom’s house I have quest of course the valve index is probably better then the quest. But the quest is awesome and I enjoy the quest even tho I have the valve index. So I really recommend the quest
Brandon Carrillo I’ve never tried quest but I know that it definitely has more games than psvr and if u get the oculus link u can get basically every game along with better graphics. Quest also has hand tracking and is portable so u can play it anywhere unlike psvr which is wired. Psvr is harder to set up and if done wrong u can completely mute ur sound until u figure out how to fix it. I’d only suggest getting psvr if ur a fan of resident evil and really wanna play resident evil 7 because psvr is the only headset that has resident evil 7

Iv'e come to the conclusion that, if i'm going to get into this, i'm aiming for the middle. Something not to pricey, and not garbage. I suspect a new line of these will be rolling out over the next couple of years, and the leap is going to be significant, paying a lot now, is just silly imo. Either shoot for a good middle ground, or wait for the mind bending shit on the way! With PS5 out this holiday season, i'm sure the next step in VR is being pushed, HARD right now.
The best vr right now is oculus quest 2 because it is wireless and you don’t need a pc. It’s user friendly and has amazing stats. It’s the best for average people just trying to have fun.

In my country valve index is 2000 dolars instead of 1000, and oculus quest is a 1000 dolars instead of 400, this is just great.
Order from UK Amazon or from the area where the quest is 400, it will just take longer to arrive

God the more I hear about the quest the more I want it. I have a PSVR which is great and I love it but my main problems are the cables.

Great video! VR has restored my passion for gaming that had been dwindling for the last few years. I choose the PSVR and have been incredibly happy with it. I plan on getting a Quest as well, the only thing holding me back from a PC based HMD is the price of a strong gaming PC. I've put over 1500 hours in my headset and am still hungry for more.

Are mobile phone headsets the only option for viewing user-generated content such as UA-cam VR? I'm looking for travel VR and unique real world experiences that maybe can't be found in the "app stores"

I remember when i was a bit younger, about in 2016-ish, I would get some cardboard and make a vr headset thing for my mom’s phone and I used a rubber band or something to strap the phone to the headset and strap the headset to my head

I've had the original oculus rift around 2 years now and it's held up very well. I don't really play much Vr, but the oculus rift original is very good as a starting point in PC Vr. Although, I do plan on upgrading to the valve index somewhere in the future, but for now, I'll stick with my oldie but goody.
In States you can find Windows MR Headsets for silly prices like $150 even $120. If you can't afford to spend more I would say they're a good first choice.

After saying that you have every consumer VR headset available, you failed to mention any WMR headsets, like the HP Reverb, which has a higher resolution than any of the headsets you featured, or the Odyssey +, which is currently the one of the best values for the dollar.
I got the odyssey it's awesome $230 on samsung's website w/ controllers & batteries for controllers included, can do anything the other headsets, except the knuckles.
The index has a better res than all of what you memtioned
@@Moonshine449 The Index is 1440/1600/eye, which is the same as the Odyssey+. The Reverb is 2160x2160/eye, which is significantly higher than the Index.
I got a Quest for Christmas and one thing that you didnt cover is that there still arent many games available on the official Oculus store and even now at the end of December the catalog of games is only growing in very small numbers

You really need to look at the Odyssey plus if you think the WMR headsets are of low quality.
The only thing good about the Odyssey is the resolution. The tracking and controllers are well lacking to say the least and considering it's the price of a Oculus quest or rift s there's no way I could recommend the Odyssey or the Odyssey plus over them Oculus devices

If your trying to get an oculus quest 2 they are basically out of stock, I’m lucky my grandma found me one. Try looking online as much as possible and try going to some stores and ask them about it. I hope you find one.

Little did Mike know that by that time next year he would be one of the first users to get his hands on the new stand alone VR system. :p I pre ordered the Quest 2 already! The hardest part is waiting a month to get it.
If you are interested in a VR headset do lots of research, I got an Oculus Rift S and I didn’t realize that you connect it to your PC via Display port and not USB, I had to return it and get an Oculus Quest. Don’t be like me, do research.
You can get display port to hdmi/usb adapters though

Keep talking and nobody explodes is a great vr game that only requires one headset! One person uses the computer to read a bomb defusal manual, meanwhile the headset user actually has the bomb, and both must work together to defuse it! Other games like rec room, vr chat, and farpoint are also pretty good multiplayer vr games

Guys, ill make this simple. If you want great standalone, and possibly pcvr (i play boneworks on quest), than get the quest. Rift S is an abandoned dead-end platform, and the Index is only for those who can pay for ultimate immersion.

I swear, in all of southern Ontario, the only VR headset you can find without ordering online was the Vive Cosmos. Since I can't get a credit card and order things online; I got a Cosmos. It's awesome :D
index is a dream, but rn the quest looks amazing for me. You can upscale the image and wirelessly stream AAA titles from your PC!

Don't count on Link being actually viable. With the amount of latency involved, it won't be a playable experience for 99.9% of everyone. Same with finger tracking, it;s a gimmick that will never be used unless in a very specific setting (just navigating in menus pretty much) that pretty much comes down to just better to use the controllers for. The Quest is amazing on it's own!

I’ve heard it’s nothing like any video out there and it’s something that must be experienced.
My husband and I are in our 70's. We are both getting stir crazy after being self-isolated sincee early this year. Are there VR experiences through any of thses headsets that would allow us to go traveling virtually to other places like state parks, Taj Mahal. Also are threre any slow-paced games available that would be more suited to our not-so-lightning reflexes?
At my dad’s house I have a Valve index and at my mom’s house I have quest of course the valve index is probably better then the quest. But the quest is awesome and I enjoy the quest even tho I have the valve index. So I really recommend the quest

Brandon Carrillo I’ve never tried quest but I know that it definitely has more games than psvr and if u get the oculus link u can get basically every game along with better graphics. Quest also has hand tracking and is portable so u can play it anywhere unlike psvr which is wired. Psvr is harder to set up and if done wrong u can completely mute ur sound until u figure out how to fix it. I’d only suggest getting psvr if ur a fan of resident evil and really wanna play resident evil 7 because psvr is the only headset that has resident evil 7

Iv'e come to the conclusion that, if i'm going to get into this, i'm aiming for the middle. Something not to pricey, and not garbage.
I suspect a new line of these will be rolling out over the next couple of years, and the leap is going to be significant, paying a lot now, is just silly imo. Either shoot for a good middle ground, or wait for the mind bending shit on the way!
With PS5 out this holiday season, i'm sure the next step in VR is being pushed, HARD right now.
Rift S is that good middle ground from what ive seen.
you can find some really good deals on the rift cv1 if you look around. it has superior controllers and refresh rate compared to the S
I personally prefer the quest link over rift s because of the fact you can go wireless while using the quest then connected for games like alyx
The best vr right now is oculus quest 2 because it is wireless and you don’t need a pc. It’s user friendly and has amazing stats. It’s the best for average people just trying to have fun.
