Abomination escaped to fight in the fight club, but remember Wong always brought him back to the cell. Which I. Sure Wongs cameo Will be explaining that
The best gag of this episode is when Hulk says: „ I‘ve changed I am total different person now, literally“ because it was Ed Norton before and now is Mark Ruffalo. Gorgeous
@@Robert_Douglass It's a point of comparison with the film Emil Blonsky/Abomination comes from. Bruce is talking about him and Blonsky letting the past go. He is saying he's a completely different man from who he was when he fought Abomination, which is true, since THAT film was Norton's
Fun Fact: Mark Ruffalo was actually the director Louis Leterrier’s first choice for the role of Bruce Banner in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk, but Marvel wanted Edward Norton because he was more famous at the time.
Um, Abomination fought Wong in the ring WHILE he was in prison. That was the whole point of the news story; he somehow 'escaped' from a super prison, participated in an underground fight club, and then got back INTO prison, apparently without anyone knowing.
Things possibly missed "Man with Metal Claws in Bar Room Brawl" Headline (Wolverine?) Another Headline about a Large Statue poking out of the Ocean (Eternals) And you may not have realised that was Abomination in Shang-Chi fighting Wong which is obviously why he gets pullled into this series. Plus that means this episode takes place either during Shang-Chi or in the weeks following (when the fight club footage surfaces)
I have a feeling it takes place shortly thereafter Shang-Chi and the footage surfaced because people aren't happy that Abomination is trying to get out of Jail and are hoping the footage will help derail the case
We don't know yet when that video shown in the news clip was recorded. Since at the end of Shang-Chi Bruce is still wearing the sling, it's probable that it's old footage that the news only just acquired. Meaning Wong sling ringed him out for some reason, and then put him back in at some point. It could happen at any point after Shang-Chi. That footage could be a year old, for all we know.
I was happy to see Tim Roth back in the MCU and I'm excited for the next episode I believe we're gonna see Wong explaining that fight he had with Emil Blonsky in Shang Chi.
Tim Roth made the biggest jump between installments in the MCU for any character, so far as I'm aware. He hasn't been seen in the MCU since 'The Incredible Hulk' in 2008.
Loved the Wolverine reference in the episode. Logan seems to be confirmed to already exist in the MCU. Maybe all the X-men do too but they're in hiding.
@@daveman-1997 "Man fights with metal claws in bar brawl" Its in the scene where shes looking for jobs. Right under the Iron Man ad, and right above the Celestial reference
Did you miss the X-men cast in Deadpool 2? X-Men are already part of Marvel since Disney bought Fox. Stan Lee's cameo in Deadpool kinda confirms it for me (Give it up for ... Chastity!)
I met Josh Segarra, the actor for Pug, at a con a few years ago. Literally the sweetest and nicest guy ever! I wish he had more screen time in She-Hulk.
It’s interesting that people seem to only view She-Hulk as a novelty to either exploit, idealize, or condescend toward. The MCU’s always been the domain of the “superhero as celebrity” take, but this show is the first real look at how dehumanizing that celebrity status can be.
Tim Roth's performance about the situation had me by the heart strings. Whether he is just putting up a front or not is irrelevant, I know people who are actually trying to get out and this hit home.
Hulk is likely off to be part of the Secret War movie with Nick Fury. We know there is more Won since in the previews you see him in She-Hulk's office. Depending on how many episodes are dedicated to Abomination She-Hulk should intersect with almost all the Marvel movies and heroes since they all have villains the Justice systems need to deal with.
Loving this show so far. Great energy, sharp writing, and solid pacing that keeps the viewer engaged. Plus, Tatiana Maslany is awesome and Tim Roth is an international treasure. 👍
They just announced that Thor: Love and Thunder will premiere in two weeks. It'll also be Disney Plus day. So we can expect a number of announcements from Lucasfilm and Marvel Studios. Maybe we'll get updates on The Mandalorian season 3 and What If season 2.
An interesting thing: the guy who plays Pug was previously in the show “Arrow” as the villain Prometheus, so he has been now been an actor in both Marvel AND DC properties

I would think that my time watching half hour episodic television which consisted of start credits, commercials and end credits, so much when there was no such thing as streaming, that I’d have no problems watching She Hulk. Even then, this show feels too short.

Tbh portrayals where he literally outclasses and solo's the Justice league do make it WAY harder to care about any efforts he puts in becomes it comes across as "easy"
You can tell that the writers don't know anything about the legal profession. They don't usually fire someone in a bar - they usually wait until working hours then call her into the office. At least that's what I assume is normal practice for professionals.
