Good video I’m looking in to replacing the o rings on oil pump and I might have to remove the upper oil pan to get access to the second o ring inside (smh) you should post about replacing gallery gaskets and all that stuff everyone always needs help good vids keep it up

I'm actually replacing my upper oil pan but I let the engine in the engine bay, a little bit a PIA but I'm taking my time and it's ok for the moment..(sorry for my english but I'm french). One question : do you know how to install the brand new relief valve into the upper pan ? The FSM doesnt tell anything about it (no loctite ? no telfon ? I just have to plug it into the hole with a little hammer ? ). Another question : do you have a trick to keep the o-rings into the block while i'm installing the upper pan ? (gravity can be a bi*** sometimes...) :)
Hey, any chance you know what o rings they are? I have to replace all of mine since i took the block apart and i have no knowledge of o rings, I’m also stuck on trying to figure out what bolts are needed for the upper oil pan

Since this is the 3.5 HR. As far as torque sequence and specs its the same exact thing on the 3.7 VHR correct? I just want to be triple sure
Yes!
Do you need to take the engine out to change the upper oil gasket
Need to? No, but engine has to be lifted up in the bay to do it. Best practice is to remove the engine, MAJOR PIA if the engine isn’t out.
@@Pete_Tech_ ok and by me lifting it all I do is remove the engine mount bolts and pick up on it?
And we’ll of course the radiator and fan to but I’m and upper support bracket
No need to. Support engine with support bar from top, drop the subframe and you'll have full access.
Good job young fella ! The original bolts on vq37vhr , have rtv sealant on them, meaning from the factory rtv sealant was placed in the outer section of the upper oil pan . How do I know, because I had to remove the factory sealant from the bolts on 2 different vq37vhr engines . Have a bless day ! KING JESUS loves you !
