The "spawn in spaa" argument doesn't work either, more than one plane up and if one "pilot" has more than a couple of brain cells, then as you're trying to kill one, they'll just hone in on the tracers and take you out so easily. Even rifle caliber ammo takes out the mostly open top SPAA. Low tier SPAA has mostly very slow traverse/elevation and or slow ballistics, (m16/wirble and a russian thing notable exceptions) it's a lot harder to hit a plane with enough shots to kill than it is for a plane to take out the SPAA. Plus your tracers tell everyone on the field where you are, enemy tanks included. Plus-plus unless you're lucky enough to do a pilot snipe, the pilot is so amazing unfazed by the fire and plane falling apart around them, they get to accurately strafe/fire rockets/drop bombs anyway. Strange string of emotions watching this one.. On the one hand I feel your pain of getting constant revenge killed by CAS. On the other hand my brain was going "he deserved it for being a scummy bush tank". EDIT: I initially didn't think much of the decoration bushes, like "oh cool a cosmetic thing for people to play around with". Then I started seeing things like KV-1B, Jumbo, Panther, , and the front of them look like the front of this ASU-57.. My opinion immediately switched to bushes being a form of P2W (yes I know you can get 'free' bushes), that are super easy exploit and ruin everyone else game experience with.
Video recommendation(one or multiple videos): Play a variety of anti-aircraft/interceptor and just go doomslayer on anyone who dares to deploy CAS, partly as revenge against CAS but also as repentance for using bushes.
I was kind of hoping to see the "I think his mate saw me" clip from Meet the Sniper but with the amount of times you died to planes there was nowhere it would have fit in
1:15 i think it would be cool if they actually made you use the gunner sights in RB like they do in SB. It would also prevent people from completely bushing up their turrets or shooting out of a smoke by putting the barrel just out of the smoke.
I find myself in the strange position of watching your videos intently even though I currently don't even have WT installed. I just find the videos enjoyable. Which is meant as a compliment. Also- the use of C&C Generals music in the background stirred nostalgia something fierce and I had to go play a generals challenge map... or 3. It also helps me live less 'dangerously' since my watercooler on my rig died and graphically intensive games tend to overheat my CPU(s) now... I know... that's not a good idea but I'm poor. I'm scraping up to afford a repair. Also also- 'Double bushed' was a term I likely overused during my 'tenure' as a WoT player. I *do* still have that installed, but it makes my rig run very hot and it is... less enjoyable than it once was, so I'm not playing that either. but I digress. Good video, keep doing you. And slamming German mains and 'soviet bias'...
Hey spookston i know you hate slow tanks soooo how about you play a tank with a very slow reverse and do a reverse only challenge. I think it would be fun to see you suffer (love your videos)
Thanks for the video! I dislike planes in GRB too, I feel like if I'm playing good, have survived for a longtime and made a dent in the enemies vehicle count I get strafed, bombed or rocketed.
I feel like they need to up SP cost of fighters by 30% and switch light tank spawn cost with heavy tank spawn cost. This would greatly reduce early cas SPAM and it would make sense for scouting to reduce cas cost etc.
There should be a limit of so many planes per team at a time, and also how many can be used in one match in total (maybe have it so capping a point gives +0.5 plane spawns to the team). Furthermore have it so planes can't be spawned before 5 minutes into a match.
What I usually do with most tanks I turn off the engine because they can easily see the smoke coming out while using bush and you mostly get lucky enough to sneak pass most players
When I tell people who don't play the game that one of the most OP things in WT is literal bushes, they all think I'm joking. *furiously gesticulates at the evil bushgoblin ASU*
You know, if you go into settings and turn off "gunner's sight through barrel" than the bushes WILL actively occlude whatever optic you have on your tank. This becomes very important in simulator battles as simulator forces you to look through your tank's primary optic (you have to worry about the offset between the optic and the barrel when firing) and so any bushes you mount can't cover said optic if you want to see anything. I run bushes on all of my tanks, but since I am a masochist and use my vehicle's gunsight by default I'm also very careful to try and find the mix of optimal coverage while also retaining vision. It's much more of a challenge than just "add bush, neuron activation"
From a frequent flier in RB ground battles... On maps with lots of trees and bushes, it's much easier to spot vehicles when they are moving, when they are shooting or when they are being shot at. The human eye is excellent at spotting movement. So sit still if you want to avoid being strafed. An obvious tactic is to hide under trees, but people forget that sitting in a shadow makes you much harder to notices as well. And that's also true for enemy ground vehicles, not just aircraft.
Cover tank in bushes: Die to planes because none of the tanks can even see you. Yeah it sounds about right. I once died to the same Char 25t three times in a row because he went outside of the map covered in bushes and kept sniping from slightly different positions, could never find him until I was dead because of the range and he looked like every other bush. Got into a plane and I was 100% going to just revenge kill him, but I got intercepted by one of his team's jets. Remove bushes, all I'm saying
Started removing the minimal bushes I had, never mattered. Still would get sniped across the map while sitting in thick woods... meanwhile I'd watch tanks with nothing be invisible in the middle of the road until they fired. Bushes for block commander and driver view in RB, and everything in sim
The one thing I know from playing this game for years the bushes don’t render in so to a plane you just look like an average tank You can adjust the settings to have it where bushes disappear depending upon the distance they said they got rid of that when they never did Still a fun game to play
1:15 Fortunately, this is actually how it works in Sim Battles XD Sidenote: I have a feeling a SPAA being used in your next video would be very therapeutic

Wait, you can get free bushes?
@@SwordsMaster7. Crate with random bushes is one of the things in the Warbond shop.
@@keithrogers6876 Ahh, thanks for the tip!
You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.
Spookston has become the villain.
Day 25 of asking for Semovente 75/34 m43 while being shocked by the consistency of myself on asking for this goofy ahh tank
1:15 Simulator battles “Am I a joke to you?”
CAS try not to ruin the game challenge
Now be a true bush player and put max bushes on a premium reserve
I gotta admit, seeing that bush karma was very satisfying.
3:24 That bomb gave your crew jaundice.
Jaundeez nutz
why the bush are talking .-.
Smash
That Halo Flood music at 3:04 got my adrenaline going. Just an innate fear just hearing that music lol
Honestly CAS needs a higher SP cost.
Also I think the Chinese ZTZ 88 would be interesting to see.
i think war thunder should add a separate ground battles game mode with no cas
Hey spookston i know you hate slow tanks soooo how about you play a tank with a very slow reverse and do a reverse only challenge. I think it would be fun to see you suffer (love your videos)
So the Archer?
Spookston i'd love to see you play my favorite premium, the SU-100Y
That burst of the Flood theme at 3:03 triggered my fight or flight response--
4:58 Yes, the pressure from the bomb can't be "blocked". The pressure propagates outwards and it killed your crew
Bushes should be:
1. Visible in gunner views.
2. Destructable.
90% of the problems of bushes would be solved by this.
When a literal moving bush just appears in the middle of the city:
Tanks: yeah its completely normal and none sees you
Planes: hey waitaminute
What I usually do with most tanks I turn off the engine because they can easily see the smoke coming out while using bush and you mostly get lucky enough to sneak pass most players
When I tell people who don't play the game that one of the most OP things in WT is literal bushes, they all think I'm joking.
*furiously gesticulates at the evil bushgoblin ASU*
Would love to see this thing with bushes all over the roof lol
Remember, if you go gunner sight like in sim, you cant see anything when bushed up like this unless you clearly make sure your gunner sight is open.
If you have bushes on your tank you should be forced into sim sight with bushes in your face.
I wonder how many people were crying and raging in the comments, bushes really seem to upset some people.
Spookston:
Plane players: “… and I took that personally!”
Started removing the minimal bushes I had, never mattered. Still would get sniped across the map while sitting in thick woods... meanwhile I'd watch tanks with nothing be invisible in the middle of the road until they fired.
Bushes for block commander and driver view in RB, and everything in sim
Those meme edits were amazing!
"it's BROKen"
"I can not see, I'm legally blind"
I love ASU-57s. They're not too fast, can't shoot up and die in one burst. Good luck bushing that exhaust!
The one thing I know from playing this game for years the bushes don’t render in so to a plane you just look like an average tank You can adjust the settings to have it where bushes disappear depending upon the distance they said they got rid of that when they never did Still a fun game to play
You can cover your tank in bushes all you want, but that exhaust is a dead giveaway... Shit be looking like a geyser lol
"Can I please get more than three kills!?" Welcome to my world Mr. Spooky!
1:15 Fortunately, this is actually how it works in Sim Battles XD
Sidenote: I have a feeling a SPAA being used in your next video would be very therapeutic
i LITERALLY just commented the same on your last vid lol
well i also requested the zis 30 bushed up on that comment, but i got what i want and im happy
"Don't waste ammunition, you need it when you need it. The bushes are not your enemy"
1:13 that Skyrim level up edit was smooooooth
>someone in spookton's game coughs
>spookton's loader gets yellowed
I hate when I play open top tanks and I get killed by plane mgs. Almost every death with my Marder 3 H was because of a plane.
