It’s also easy to get, being found in the wormhole container inside the brawny bin. You can easily pick it up while grinding for the wasp queen, though it can be easy to miss if you don’t have a light.
If people cant keep up with perfect blocks, just sit there and hold the block. Yes you'll eventually get stunned, but thats better than taking tons of damage. Also, hold block when she screams, itll stunn you but refresh your shield stun bar. The Fire Ant shield and Tick sword made this boss easy
Came Over here with a good loadout, Forgot my trinket and my Scythe, Walked all the way back to my base, got raided by Mosquitos, Finally Came back to the summon room and I Left The Moldy Hoagie at my base so i had to walk all the way back again.
@SoggyKooky compared to the others it is, it uses great amounts of stamina and if you pair it with barbarian it's insanely hard to parry and it is slow the toenail scimitar with blademaster is fast and weakens enemy damage as infection slows their attack speed the toenail scimitar is a much better choice
I come back a long time later, I am a changed man for I have beat the infected broodmother and moved on to new game plus, use a fresh toenail scimitar, and once it hits 3rd phases just hold block on all attacks, if you can Parry them then do it, but what you want to do when you block is about to break is block the scream, it will most likely break it and sets you back to a fresh block, in-between start chipping off at her and you will get it
I’m scared that i will be made fun of for not beating the infected on medium. I got to phase 3 on medium…by using healing and blocking a lit. I used my smoothies early

I copied every build that’s shown on UA-cam and failed to kill the IBM, 3 hours I tried and failed every time BUT i copied your build and I liked the advice you added thru the fight and I beat her 1st go after watching your vid so thank you very much sir. I will say round 3 of the fight she’s deadly but blocking was the main tactic I used in round 3
Medium difficulty also let's you pause while in the inventory, at least it does on mine which is single player on console. Also as of the recent update there is now a cooldown on smoothies that won't decrease until you leave the menu
Use full widow armor with thors, obsidian sword and roly poly shield and remember the attack pattern at stage 3. When she attacks u fully block, after that, attack 3 times than she back offs and ur shield will break but u take will no damage. Than the whole thing again till shes dead. With the sword u heal against the poison and first and second stage are ez af Mutations are on highest lvl and the one against poison damage, the one for sword damage, blockstrenght, the one for better staminaregeneration and the lifestealing mutation i think. Than u stand in a corner that get not targetted with bombs and thats it ez (sword with mint)
This one of the best build I have ever used because I didnt even get my health halfway through the fight and I would say using ladybird shield with the left elf charm since id your not good with the attacks than the. Shield will regenerate more quickly thay usual
your infected broodmother seem tame somehow. Mine is relentless. phase 1 and 2 is fine but in phase 3, there is no pause. It's hit after hit, dust everywhere and explosions all over.. And you can't spam smoothies anymore. Beating her is the only thing I have left to complete 2 achievements. To one to beat her and Burgl quest list no 100 is to beat her. She is also part of the 100% completion now but I got that before she existed. Try no 4 tomorrow...
What is the build people are using with just their fist where they get a stacking attack buff each hit, and once you get to like 160 hits it just deletes her health bar? I mean if you get hit then you have to start the attack count over but man I’ve not seen anyone destroy her so fast as guys using the unarmed build
Basically you need he power droplet(which is a trinket you find in the bricks behind the brawny bow bin), phase 3 lil fist, phase 3 blade master, phase 3 chopper, and phase 3 smasher, with those you add the debuffs of the weapon mastery mutations and with phase 3 lil fist your fist will hit twice. When you use lil fist your attacks stack as a buff which will be 2 every time you hit a bug and you t can stack past 200 and youlll start to do crazy damage. I don’t feel like going into the armor sorry.
So - for people like me who block badly, just leave it on block, run around avoiding the bombs, use the shield solidifier or the fungal shield, probably wear roly poly gear, try both nail scimitar and tick knife on mint and bring a couple thousand smoothies! What could possibly go wrong!!
I just watched another video and it’s the polar opposite saying how she’s immune to bleed so the mantis armor isn’t good, that those two specific meals do stack for some reason and that crit damage build isn’t all that effective against her. Also waspidote isn’t effective cause of her Venom

It’s risky cuz of the stamina loss of just holding block though, and it also doesn’t stop her from poisoning you.

For some reason my worst phase is phase 2. I activate ultra instinct in phase 3 and somehow have no problem tracking her and parrying her attacks

Just get the badge that heals with parry that's what i used and 5 hits combo heal so much the fight becomes easy
