Update: I’m doing this on my Forte5 and so far it’s going great. Tried doing it with a manual exhaust cutter but I’m needing a reciprocating saw. Other than that everything fits well. Flex pipe is perfect! My engine already sounds good so I’m not worried about the sound! $45 and sounds loud :) Thanks brother
Brother you are making things happen! Your most welcome 🙏🏼 Maybe the blades we dulled? But either way next best thing is a quick cut with a reciprocating saw, good stuff... 😅 I have one myself but wanted to keep it DIY friendly as I know most don't have one or have a garage with electricity available so I just did the next best thing with the manual cutter lol.. Down for some sound clips via IG if u did any, lmk and once again good stuff brother glad it all worked out!
@@SimplyEddieG yeah it’s been done for about a week. I love the sound, but just a lot of cabin drone. Kept the muffler so if I wanted to have someone put it back on for me, it wouldn’t cost much. I can fs send u sound clips on ig
I used a Y" pipe from res then sent two 2.5in to each side, used stock tips, shop only charged $150 to weld it all up w/ hanger on each side. Sounds perfect, even pretty quiet at low R"s, no drone or raspy crap, sounds better then most costly systems, I actually pulled off an Z1 spec single, this sounds better and again quiet til you stomp it
Thats not bad shesshhh i went to a few shops for my single exit and the lowest I got was 180 like if i dnt know the cost or the work required lol... felt like i drove a bmw into a shop and they wanted to get me for as much as possible 😂💀 The exhaust connection is so simple its not even funny but i bet if it was my old 96 ek civic hatch and it had the same exhaust layout as the Z it would of been 60 max cause its a honda... funny world
@@SimplyEddieG I shopped two other places who want $300.Guess a little luck didnt hurt, main thing is, it sounds really good and getting that restrictive muffler off for sure feels better through the R"s. Expensive exhaust is a waste of $ unless your building the motor for mega power. I only have a few add ons..and a 100 shot of juice😆. Z1 single was always loud just not practical.
Good video Eddie! Makes me wanna do a muffler delete on my G35 even though it's probably not as restrictive as a coupe or 350z muffler. The 2 flanges that go from the muffler pipe to the mid pipe are really rusty on my car. Everytime I tighten or loosen the nuts that bolt the 2 flanges together, more rust pieces fall off lol. Plus, prices for just a bolt-on performance muffler are like $500-$600!
I would say do it, but hey to each their own lol... yea as u saw mine, the rust just broke that entire section off 🤣... for a g35 though personally I would do a dual muffler delete rather then the single outlet. IMO it looks better (dual) on a G... but if you want a sweet sounding exhaust go for it! Muffler Delete for the win!🏁
Loved the vid! I’ve been wanting to do this on my car for so long. Was the flex pipe wider than your regular exhaust pipe or was it the same? If it was wider, by how much was it? Also were the clamps the same size as the flex tube? I’m really new to this but love cars. Sorry I probably sound like such a newbie. You definitely deserve a sub though!
First off thanks brother and welcome 🙏🏼 To get the best fitment possible just measure the outside diameter of the pipe... A Digital Caliper would be the easier choice to measure accurately so say if it reads 60mm, then you can get a 2 3/8 pipe n clamps (to ur question, same size yes) and possibly open up the ID of it slightly so it fits over ur exhaust nice n snug... or you can try a slightly higher size if you don't feel like doing all that and slide it over and clamp it down tight... Hope that helps you on ur journey brother!
just discovered you channel man, love the calm vibes really helpful too. I really hate the more obnoxious car tubers so thanks bro! will you ever do a backseat delete? I cant find a clear DIY for it.

Hey Jarrod, Not 100% sure what we can do for that as I can't see it up close but real quick some suggestions is to replace or if that it not a option try to wrap it. I believe they sell an exhaust tape that I saw when combing thru the aisle to get the clamps for this job at autozone. Never used an exhaust tape before but I hope that helps! lmk
HELP DO YOU LOSE POWER WHEN DOING A RESONATOR DELETE AND MUFFLER DELETE TO A STRAIGHT PIPE ? I CANT SEE IT HARMING EXHAUST SCAVENGING , OR BACK PRESSURE THAT FAR DOWN THE EXHAUST !!!
Hey brother so it really all depends on the set up but if u don't have adequate back pressure it can inadvertently cause you to lose power with the deletion of both... I'd say if your new to tuning or if its your first build, explore other options, FBO or FI before considering going straight pipe... Best of luck boss and feel free to DM on IG if anything🤘🏼
Not really I'm doing good without it but each set up maybe different... this was really me just sharing my journey lol didn't think it would reach so many people😅 ... So if you like, you can definitely use some high tempt RTV as u slide the flexpipe over your exhaust and then clamp it down... just get an ideal size flexpipe and clamps and you should be good to go but if you like you can definitely rtv it as well 🤙🏼
Hey my guy so its actually holding up well. Like I said in other replies I wish I had coated it or wrapped lol cause it is rusty but she still running🤘🏼
Hey brother, just take a screen shot of my vid and show a local exhaust shop that you just want to remove the muffler and create a short pipe to exit (that way they don’t try to over sell you by trying to make it seem more complicated lol)... However if u in New york just go to a muffler shop and tell em i want a muffler delete and they know what to do lol

Well😅 this video really isn't for a lease & not sure if you have a Z so dnt know the layout butttt what you can do brother is see where your muffler connects to #1 the type of connection... #2 search for the flange type & size such as this one for example (www.ebay.com/itm/FX8017EX-2-1-2-ID-Universal-QuickFix-Exhaust-Oval-Flange-Repair-Pipe-Kit-Gasket/161315484279?epid=730530203&hash=item258f26f277:g:ouUAAOSwOb5fEi5x) #3 remove muffler and place a similar flange as the one shown via link in place and start routing your connection as in the video n there you go NO cutting 🙌🏼... Or you can just take it to the exhaust shop and they'll disconnect your muffler for you and create a straight pipe to the back using a flange like this (www.ebay.com/itm/US-3-inch-ID-2-Bolt-304-Stainless-Steel-Exhaust-Downpipe-Flange-Exhaust-Gasket/223771878160?hash=item3419d7e310:g:k4AAAOSw9~5b0Lmi) , and there goes your muffler delete... so when you ready to give back your lease if you decide to, you can bolt your muffler back up🤘🏼

Hey Jamil thanks for asking... I have a video coming up down the line where I did an ISR Exhaust Y-pipe install and when I did it, it ultimately raised the exhaust slightly and had my exhaust tip hitting the bumper... and because it was rusted due to weather out here n not coating it I couldn't bend/flex it to bring it more down... So I just replaced it with a similar one... Other then that if I didn't do my exhaust y-pipe she would still be running well 🙌🏼

Thats a great idea! Lovin it bro and that tip looks the business Im gona do same now haha 😄 Hows it holding up after all this time? Any leaks or problems?
HAHA thanks brother! All is good but I would Look for a stainless steel model as thru the winter it got rusted ALOT lol n quick too however it's still running good but I would either 1. paint it (high temp clear or of ur choosing) or 2. seek a stainless steel model, been looking myself and found some on ebay but from the UK... but no leaks or problems brother🙏🏼
I’m doing this to my truck and I live in houston and it doesn’t snow here. Can I keep this on for a while or so I need to eventually get a steal pipe. Or could I keep the flex and make sure no rusting is happening?
Hey brother, good question... it's not 304 stainless steel so yes it will gather some rust over time... I live in NY so it just blended in with my existing exhaust by now with our 4 seasons 😅 but you can either paint it with a good coating before installing #1 or #2 get the stainless steel model I came across on ebay from the UK, however with shipping and trying to keep cost down you may just want to go with the coating route. Either way good luck brother and lmk which route you take🤟🏼
Why the negativity my guy... We definitely put in the works differently cause theres No Rattles over here, In fact if you in NY dm me on IG and u can check it out at the next car meet. Sorry yours turned out that way.
Hey Alfredo, It stays while driving and while having fun in parking lots it has held up and stood in place. Tbh one of my friends did say it wobbled alil while going sideways, not much but it did remain in its original position when finished. Hope this honest review helps and for a $35 fix till you decided which exhaust to go with, it definitely is still is a option to enjoy!🙌🏼🙏🏼
Lol brother I have no idea, can't even tell you inspection requirements for neighboring states to be honest... Best course of action would be to ask your friend who inspects your car or whoever inspects your car, but good luck and stay safe!🤘🏼
@@SimplyEddieG I have a question with my muffler delete on my car if I bought a aftermarket exhaust and had it welded on to the rest of my factory exhaust would it make a sound difference or would it sound the same as it did with just the muffler delete?
Hey Jones, good question... Yes it will make a difference if you were to delete even the aftermarket muffler. Within some mufflers depending on the car, there are channels and or materials used to dampen the noise. Even within a aftermarket muffler, the channels are still there to provide a specific flow/sound... Granted on a more larger scale to provide better performance, but with deleting the muffler it will by-pass those channels within the muffler and provide a straight exit of the exhaust system... With that said and in regard to your aftermarket Muffler, it may provide a louder tone by removing that part, performance wise don't expect much from deleting an aftermarket muffler unless you have a major set up/tune to compliment the deletion. Hope that helps and happy holidays boss🤘🏼
@@SimplyEddieG thanks for the reply I ended up buy a 18 inch Spec-D exhaust and my local shop welded extra piping on the rest of my factory exhaust pipe then welded the aftermarket exhaust on the new pipe.happy holiday bro👍

Did this in high school.
Go ahead if you dont mind a rattling exhaust😔😔
Why the negativity my guy... We definitely put in the works differently cause theres No Rattles over here, In fact if you in NY dm me on IG and u can check it out at the next car meet. Sorry yours turned out that way.
Does the pipe wobble any?
Hey Alfredo, It stays while driving and while having fun in parking lots it has held up and stood in place. Tbh one of my friends did say it wobbled alil while going sideways, not much but it did remain in its original position when finished.
Hope this honest review helps and for a $35 fix till you decided which exhaust to go with, it definitely is still is a option to enjoy!🙌🏼🙏🏼
You think If I did this I’d pass safety in hawaii
Most welcome brother and happy holidays to you to!🙌🏼🙏🏼
