Hey Papa! I’m from Brazil and it’s been easier to learn the British English with the support of your channel, I can understand everything that you’re saying without inscription! Thank you so much! ❤️
Teacher Aly, We English enthusiasts around the world obviously adore your teaching method. There are other channels (sure) but its different if it is you who is teaching. Anyway, we are hoping that you can release a lengthy, maybe 2 to 5 hours video on helping us to finally-finally have a go to video for ALL the ENGLISH TENSES lesson on this channel Thank you so much in advance 🙏🙏🙏
Hey Papa English! I've shown your video to my students countless times to introduce the Present Perfect Simple and they love it! Thanks to your originality and sense of humour, they get it instantly! :)
Vanessa. I appreciate you ✌️🤓 I’m happy your students liked it and learned from it! If I ever miss something in a video let me know and I’ll improve for next time!
I am in the online school but I did understand what is present perfect and past simple I watch this video I understanded Thank you so much sir l am from UAE 🇦🇪
You’ve always been the best, you still are the best and you’ll always be! You were born a teacher and I love your lessons, they’re funny, simple to understand and always interesting. - from Rome with love
I discovered your channel while researching this part of grammar, you are great!!! You teach with love... Thank you very much. I am Brazilian trying to learn English. Congratulations!!! 🎉🎉🎉
Hi Aly🌹🌹🌹 Honestly, I was watching one of the old lessons about "over" a while ago. Your personality and mood have changed a lot over time. In addition, buttoned shirts suit you very well. I hope you will always be great, your little student Sofia
I 've really understood the difference between simple past tense and present perfect tense. I would like to encourage you to come up with different confusing English grammar, tenses, etc with their solutions❤❤❤. KEEP IT UP!!!🌸🌼🌻
Great job, Papa! You remind me of a Peace Corps volunteer from Minnesota. I used to work with him about ten years ago. Your drawings are very interesting, I've never seen this kind of sketching. People's bodies are so simple, and yet, they convey the characters' feelings and movements.
When I hear you say words like "past" I think of all the people I knew at Cowdray Park Polo Club, if you know what I mean 😄😀😄😀😄You 're a legend, Aly ! Un abrazo grande !🇦🇷🏴🇬🇧🇦🇷🏴🇬🇧🇦🇷🏴🇬🇧
Hey my ❤ teacher) I’ve had lots of cats in my life! I love cats, they’re so prideful and fluffy 🐈 I had a cat, its name was Barsik. He lived with my parents for a long time about 16 years, but he passed away😢. Then we bought a new cat and he’s already lived with us for three years. I’ve fed him for three years and cats are expensive! I mean, if you want to care about their diet, you should buy food of good quality. Lucky, I’ve never been dogs! I can’t even imagine, how much food they eat🤷♀️🤦♀️
I've never kissed Maria, honey, I swear! Great job as usual. This is specially tricky for learners' whose mother tongue doesn't have or doesn't use a present perfect equivalent. It's all past simple for (most of) us in Argentina. We're just done with everything, I guess, lol. Keep these videos coming!
I have never been to england. I have had my chicken for last few months. I had my cat for 2 years before my grandma gave it to my fridnd in my absence. I have played cricket a lotta times I played cricket twice this week. Aly has been a great teacher for years Aly was a good teacher before he died 😂 I have had my lunch so dont worry I had it around 7 am in the morning
I have never actually owned a dog, however I had a westie as a vacation visiter for about 10 days. Her name was Ciska! I am sad to have to announce you that I have never visited London before, but now that I got to know you and Tom, I definitely will give it a thought. I have been to Dover once though and spent some days in Saffron Waldon and Cambridge as I was travelling through to Sweden. The longest period I worked at one company was ten years, but that's already a longer time ago than I actually (have) worked (?) there. Wel of course 🤣I have kissed a woman called Maria before: she happened to be my mother 🥰.
I'm not Papa, and not a native English speaker at all, but as I understand, with "today" you can use both present perfect and past simple. "Today" is literally present, so that's that 😊
Hi. The video is very nice and I could understand about the grammar. Next time could you explain what is the difference between past simple and past perfect...?
I have listened to many teachers on "the difference between Present Perfect and Past Simple", Nevertheless, None of them WAS as clear and simple to understand as yours. 😉 Besides, I have known someone called Maria for more than 10 years now. But.I have never kissed Maria. We had a Moment once when we got really close to each other, but never again. She is married anyway 😂
Can we omit the time marker in Past Simple? If we want to say that something’s is the past, but we don’t want to specify the time. Is it correct? (Like in the “I dated her for a week” example)
Hello Ally! Somewhere to the end of this video you say "I have never had o dog, but I've had a cat before". Souldn't we use past perfect for the second part of your expression? I mean to say "....., but I had had a cat before" becouse using the word before we reffer to a situation completed in the past.
Sir we use as verb "have " in place of drink ,eat Same thing Can We replace the "experience" with "have" in sentence Like this I experienced in India was very special. I had in india was very special. Both are same or not please reply
And if i say 'I have been dating with Maria for a month'. Started in the past and it is continuing now, is it okay? Because this sentence is similar for me as 'I've been together for a month'. I can use any of the forms?
With videos like this, it's almost impossible not to learn English. Thank you.

Hello rafael’s students! Your teacher seems awesome! 🤘🤓
I've never kissed Maria, but I know the person who has kissed Maria 5 times. They had been together for 5 months and then they broke up a week ago.
How long have you been such an awesome teacher?
I’ve been an awesome teacher for a long time, Timur ✌️🤓

Can you explain an instance or instances where you would use both interchangeably?
