Random ESL instructor here. I have to say that this is the best video on "do versus make" that I've found on UA-cam. I do think (eek, auxiliary verb!) it's worth distinguishing "do dinner" from "make dinner." They follow the basic rules perfectly, at least on this side of the pond. "Let's do dinner" is "let's have dinner," an invitation, and "make dinner" is "cook dinner." A couple other Americanisms: "make coffee" instead of "make a coffee," even if only one cup, while "do coffee" is a trip to Starbucks. "Let's do a BBQ," a request to help prepare something on the grill, and "Let's do BBQ," an invitation to eat pulled pork sandwiches together, are both thumbs-up. We don't tend to "do up" our jackets or shoes, though, and what's "rubbish?" Thanks for a great vid!

This video brings to my mind the verbs ser and estar (to be) in Spanish.
You always find the funniest way to teach English, by the way. I appreciate it. Greetings from Madrid!
