- This is a video guide about how to safely remove and replace the battery in a Logitech Slim Folio iPad keyboard case. You'll know you need a new battery because your iPad case does not have a USB charging port and the keyboard is no longer working. The LED lights on the keyboard case will not turn on and the keyboard will not be recognized by the iPad.
To do this, you will need two CR2032 coin-style batteries. You can get them here: amzn.to/3P68m8N or at at a CVS, Walmart, etc.

Thank you. This has saved my Dad time and money! I’m using the newly powered keyboard to type this comment!
Glad I could help!
Cheers bro I thought my keyboard was useless after the batteries died 🙏🏼
i think mine had fallen out of place because i didnt have new ones at the time of opening so i just took them out to see the lenght of the batteries and i just put them back in and after 10 seconds it started working again🤷♂
Yes it was probably mis-seated
Thank you so much.
How long will it last ?
A long time. Usually over a year of normal use
Hello, Please can you describe where are the battery located? I am blind and can not tell. Also are the battery same as the battery for a AirTag?Thanks. My slim folio is now 80% after 2 years of been on 100%. Thanks.
Yes it’s the same battery as an AirTag - CR2032 lithium 3V coin battery.
The battery compartment is on the back edge. If the keyboard is facing you, make a direct line away from you, starting at “r” key and turn the edge from the top to the rear face. You will feel a small hole there and a seam about 2 inches wide. This is the tray.
Thank you!
Thx
Thank you so much for the detailed explanation.
I cannot see the battery slot on my slim folio case for Ipad Pro 12.9, do you know how I might be able to replace the battery? Many thanks.
Hi, I had a question I hope you can help me with. My case is the same as the one in your video and does not have a charging port, however, the light still blinks which indicates to me the keyboard may not be completely dead. Every video says you’ll know the battery needs to be replaced when the light dies and stops connecting to the iPad via Bluetooth. In my case, I’m not able to connect by Bluetooth, but the light otherwise seems to work.
Would you suggest replacing the batteries anyway and seeing from there? Thanks!
If the light works it should not be a battery issue. I’d try connecting to another device and see if that works
