Thanks, To anyone watching, the black wire is supposed to be red up, copper down doing it like the video will make one ear louder when anc is enabled and sound a bit muffled
I second this. I replaced the right side speaker in my WH-1000XM3's recently and the original configuration was red up/copper down. Re-sautered the new driver using this same configuration and the headphones are working great now.
thank you so much for uploading this video! my headphone broken speakers on both parts and I’m trying to find the left speaker but there’s not come with controls/buttons (now on eBay) only a speaker.. do you think it is matter can you help me with this 🙏🙏
Does this replacement include the environment mics? I get feedback on the left side with ANC enabled; from what I’ve read, it is a symptom of a faulty or corroded environment mic.
Sure! I’ll try to have that up in the next week :) In the meantime the left side is very similar to the right. You could attempt it if you feel comfortable.
@@jontriestofixthings3718 thanks so much, man! And that'd be an incredible contribution, since there is no left driver replacement video on the internet :)
@@haakonharnes Hey! Life has been really busy so I'm not sure when I'll be able to make that video. But it's very similar to this video, except the wire order is different. Just make a note on the order of the wires before desoldering and you should be fine :)
How do I know is the right sides driver is broken? I been listening on my for some time and there is no sound coming from the right speaker... However the touch functions etc are working fine.
I tried doing this and now I get feedback in ANC. A high pitched to low pitch tone based on how far my head is from the speaker. I've tried flipping the polarity of the black mic wire, but it doesn't seem to help. Any ideas?
Figured this out. The speaker wires were switched. They were the same as in this video, but maybe my unit was different ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. If you have this issue try swapping those connections :)
I would check all of the solder connections and try resoldering any that look suspicious. It could just be that a wire isn't soldered down all the way. I'm sorry this issue came up and I really hope you can fix it!
@@jontriestofixthings3718 no worries if your look at the previous reply I got it figured out. Apparently on my set the speaker wires were opposite to your demonstration
Hi, I ve got a problem with wind noise in right headphone. Serwis told me they can't fix it for free (I got a year of guarantee) They have to order a part (inside microphone) for almost 100$. Really is so much expensive to replace this part ? 100$ ? For fixing
@@jontriestofixthings3718 i don't know exactly inside which headphone is it. ALL I know this part got wet and serwis have to replace it and this is an inside microphone.

Power your headphones on and they should automatically try to pair with your bluetooth device.

I can't say for sure, but I think the headphones have some differences in their structure, so I assume the parts are NOT interchangeable. Sorry!
