One thing about Hayden…he is very good at emoting. That’s a skill that shows a solid foundation in acting, to be able to convey an emotion without expressing one word is a very strong skill. @5:18 is a great example of Hayden showing every emotion of Anakin, he’s processing the fact that he’s just learned you could “save someone from dying,” he’s feeling relief, confusion, trepidation, excitement, and conflicted all at once.

Yes the point is, there was never a power. Palpatine just knew Anakin was in love with Padme and was afraid she’d die in childbirth…he was manipulating Anakin. Why Vader didn’t just leave once that became clear in her death? Who knows but probably because he was overcome with a desire for revenge for what Obi wan did to him, and also blamed Padme on him as well…since he knew Obi wan had told her of his turn. Now, obviously Disney has since changed things-including the discovery of how to cheat death…but when ROTS was written Palpatine was only half truthful in his story to Anakin. Palpatine’s master is Pleguis who he mentions in the story…and he was trying to learn a way to cheat death, but during his studying he never realized his apprentice, Palpatine would kill him. So ironically, he was killed by someone right under his nose, and wasn’t even able to save himself from death.

I actually thought Hayden did a really great job in RotS as Anakin. Definitely a major improvement in acting after AOTC. I still prefer his Anakin’s characterization to the one in TCW. They made the one in TCW too much of a generic macho action antihero™️, who’s fall felt much more inevitable and much less tragic and sympathetic as a result. In the live action prequels, his characterization is actually a deconstruction of Luke’s in a darker, more tragic, and more unstable sort of way. They’re both awkward, impulsive, emotional, occasionally rather arrogant, have strong affinities for close attachments, and rightfully feel pretty angry, and skeptical towards Obi-Wan’s, Yoda’s, and the Jedi Council’s corrupt, deceitful, emotionally/psychologically abusive, isolating, manipulative, and morally hypocritical extremist attitudes and methods “for the greater good.” Yeah, in terms of anger, greed, and possessiveness leading to the dark side, it does in excess. However, they’re still just a watered down version of them when you really think about it. They’re willing to commit all the same crimes as their enemies, but they’re more subtle about it, rather than chaotic evil, which is why Anakin is actually more lawful evil old Republic Jedi-like in his mindset to justify his crimes after being put in that suit. The only people they are really protecting in the galaxy are the elite politicians and Republic royalty who are wealthy enough to fund and sanction their military cult to protect them in return, so they can maintain their public reputation and destroy the Sith. In TCW, he’s pretty much been made into a macho action antihero™️ All of his flaws have been flanderdized to make his fall seem more inevitable, the Imperial March gets overplayed to foreshadow his turn too much, most of his soft side has been downplayed, and the tragedy and horror of his whole fall loses impact as a result. My favorite character in the series
thanks I used these scenes to edit, thank you so much for making a video like this
Anakin was going through depression
I💗 love Anakin Skywalker my favorite Jedi knight in Ep III:Revenge of the Sith 2005.
1:43 makes my stomach feel things 🦋
It's sad cus the kiss scene isn't there ;-;
He just has this intense stare. And thats all he needs to do..not many can pull that off. I am also very attracted to his voice!
Their living quarters are dope af
Everyone saying hayden is a bad actor and has no emotion dont know what there saying anakin is a serious person he clearly shows emotion
I am confused by that
he's a very emotional character as Anakin, but he tries to act calm and detached like Jedi are supposed to be but that's not really him
