My dad died when I was eleven, the questions from adults as a kid were the worst, so my delivery about his demise became the worst... totally get just saying it, no one gets it, unless it is their life experience too.
What surprised me most is what a deal your cabin and land were! That said, I live on the coast of California where it's CRAZY expensive to buy anything. The work you have done is utterly phenomenal! Love you two!
As the father of two incredible daughters, you two need to realize how proud your dad’s would be of you. Not only have you become skilled, independent and resourceful young women, you MAKE a Sunday very special for so many of us. Well done, you two.
This very a very interesting Q&A. Thank you for sharing. Advise from a 65 year old retired Veterinary Administrator......Let your 2 dogs complete their life together. Bring in 2 new pups to share what they bring to your lives. I have always had 2, then 2 became 8, only once tho. With that said....2 is the perfect number.
Thank you for creating the nova Scotia building videos. I followed you during your van life period B4 buying your land. My Danish boyfriend bought nova Scotia land exactly same month as you. Through your videos, we understand what we will need to face when we start building.
thank you for bringing us along. I thing building that cabin has brought you 2 closer together!! I said this before but there isn't anything you girls can't do if you put your minds together. THANK YOU LADIES!!!!!!!!!!
You girls make a good couple I like watching your UA-cam channel are pretty fun. Love you see you to work in together and having fun. Thank you for your shells.
I love you both so much !!! .... I truly love watching your videos , I too lost my mother when I was 2 years old , raised by my father , life was tough ... Loveonya !!! 😍
well thanks for the spice, hahahah. I must disagree with you, I think PEI is actually the cheapest place in Canada to buy land. I bought my small slice of paradise here was remarkably cheap. But I love NS too. I was born there. I am sitting in my studio on this wintery day and I have large fig tree here. It gives me a nice crop of fresh figs in the summer, almost like you were in Mexico and thought you should have on tin your treehouse. Greta work, nice pups. Nigel
Fantastic video, you two fabulous young woman. I’m 68 years old and I never miss you on Sunday. You learn in front of us and share your joie de vie. It is delightful to see and so inspiring. I don't think we ever had any employees with your attitude and ability to figure out and complete a project. Not only that , but your personalities, and love for each other and for the work you are doing on the Cabin, and on the Videos you make (which I love) is truly inspiring . I did not lose my parents at a young age, but lost a younger Sister, and my Wife in a very short period of time years ago, so respect what you have done with your lives after unusual childhoods. I look forward to your videos every week and they never fail to bring e joy. I was surprised to hear that you weren't married, but your love for each other is obvious, and as a non betting man, I would bet on your getting married in the future. I just want to thank you for being a bright spot in my life. Many, Many People your age in the United States, have dropped out of just about everything. Thanks again and continue to do great work.
You are a kind and good man Eric. I’m so sorry for your losses. I started Watching Max and Occy a few days ago. I’m amazed how well these two young ladies do, how much they achieve and create. Very impressive and hard working. Sending love from Australia 🤎🦘🦘🦘
Thank you for being so forthcoming. Never talk about any details that cause you embarrassment, emotional pain, or reveal more than anyone else needs to know. Why? You do not have to explain yourself to anyone. Your warmth, humor, intellect, courage to try new things, kindness to each other and so generous with sharing the good, the bad and the ugly with all of us is so welcome. I love that you try and fail and do not behave like a rotten spoiled brat because it didn’t work out! What an example of good heartedness you both are. Genuine. That is a awesome description .

I swear these two could just open and read the dictionary and I would watch, something about their personalities and perspective on life is just so intriguing. I feel like it’s a get together with old friends every Sunday.
My dad died when I was two. It was never about missing him, as much as watching other kids with their dads and feeling this huge empty hole. That hole never quite got filled.
@@Vanwives I hope you guys go back and read some more comments. I'm getting choked up reading them and they aren't even about me, lol. Definitely the most warm comments I've ever seen on any episode you have posted.
Cried watching this, then cried again reading the comments. Very well done. Not easy putting your lives out there for all to see. Both of you are amazing and authentic and I thank you for being a shinning light in this world. 🥰
They are asking some personal questions but I think you’ll and Todd and Tylor are doing a great job with showing people what love means ! So, prop’s to you’ll 😊
I'm an old guy. You are grandchildren to someone my age. My opinion is not important, but I am extremely impressed with you young ladies. If you were my grandchildren, I would be over-the-moon proud of you. The world could use more people like you.
This was a great idea to fill in your back story and some of the trials and tribulations that you have faced over the years. You have inspired so many women to believe in themselves my daughter included for that alone I will always be very appreciative good luck in all your future endeavours.
Part of the appeal of your channel is that you show your vulnerabilities and mistakes. Another aspect of the channel is that your personalities and quirks are so well revealed. Good job vanwives, we enjoy watching. P.S. What a deal you got on your land and cabin !
Thanks for sharing this deeply personal vlog with us. As a Dad myself, I have no doubt your parents are extremely proud of what you have achieved in life and the people you have become. Wishing you both the very best for the future 💛💚 🇮🇪
Vanwives is the only label you truly need, your love, passion for learning and joie de vivre keep all of us glued to the channel. Sharing your life is such a generous thing to do. Love to the 4 of you, x
I also lost my Dad at a young age. It's definitely a life long struggle that does get easier with time, but it's always with you. Love your content, y'all are so wonderful and I can't wait for Sunday's because of you! Keep being awesome!
Hey Skyler, you are so right it is a life long struggle. The emptiness never goes away, but with time we hope to gain strength. Thank you for sharing with us, it is not easy. We are honoured to have you in our pack following our journey 💛💛
I have lost both my parents. My father died from heart attacks about 5 years ago. My mother was in a care home as she had Alzheimer's disease. it is a devastating illness. She passed away about 3 years ago. I love watching you both, your projects are always well-informed and fun to watch. you always explain exactly what you are doing and the reason why. Sundays are the best day of the week because I can watch you both.
I cried when Jaz said that there was a time when she told classmates that her dad was a pilot. And then I cried when Crystal mentioned her childhood. Just know that you’re not obligated to share your trauma’s and uncomfortable experiences. I used to be very transparent and matter of fact about that kind of stuff but ultimately discovered that by talking about it I was Re-traumatizing myself. Love you two!!!❤
I teared up so much watching this ! Hearing more about you both and seeing a more vulnerable side was terrific. You are my role models and thank you for letting us all experience your journey with you. ❤
I love you both so much. I lost my dad when I was 20 and a year later lost my mom. My whole family became me alone. I think at 70 I did a good job raising me. Take care my buddies
I LOL'd at that (I did a good job raising me), not in a bad way. I just relate. "Funny" thing about it is both my parents are still alive. Let's just say they were not too involved as parents--more laughter here. UNDERSTATEMENT. :) I've pretty much forgiven them, it is what it is, who wants to carry baggage, there's no benefit. Cheers. :)
I have always been amazed and enamored by both of you and your incredible personalities, but today's segment brought it home for me. I just lost my dad less than a year ago and my mom 4 years. Your stories of love, adventure, and desire for a life that you two created on your own are amazing. I used to be someone different because of my business and 20+ years in the Marine Recon. Extremely structured and disciplined. Then one day I realized that my life was much more than it became and I realized that I should "Go where you're celebrated, not just needed by everyone else" as it was suggested by a close friend. That life is meant to be a constant adventure in order to grow. I'm proud of my past but more excited about the future. Both of you are beautiful, creative, and passionate people who prove on a daily basis that slow and steady doesn't just win the race... it allows you to create it. So in complete transparency from someone you don't know but watches and responds to you every week, your adventures were the catalyst for my decision to buy up acreage outside of Sedona Arizona, build a ranch completely off the grid and be happy and thrive. Best decision I ever made. You two are the best. Thank you for your inspiration. Until next week...be blessed. TJ & Loki 🐾
Wow that was a Beautiful response, good luck to you, and Sedona IS one of the most Beautiful places on earth, and Powerful. Like Ullaru in Australia. Energy meridians. GOOD LUCK to you
@Lori L. Mangold Thank you. I'm a communicator, and I think we as humans need to show more gratitude and appreciation. Rather than whining and complaining as most do. And i meant every word i wrote. As to Sedona, I feel like I'm in heaven, and I'm sure Loki, my wolf hybrid, feels the same. Thank you for your kind words.
@@tjmoss2832 I've been to Sedona only twice, and it is so Amazing and Beautiful, and Extremely Expensive, but it did feel like Something Special, it was in March, or maybe February before it was HOT. . Loki, what a Great name, May the Spirit Bless you
@Lori L. Mangold Thank you 😊 Loki is the Norse God of mischief, and he completely fits his name. The property is huge, and to the north, I have great distant views of the Sedona red rocks and snow-capped mountains to the north. I'm building a 3,500 sq/ft home with a separate barn for up to 10 horses. I just put in a well with tons of fresh water, septic system, and personality installed a PV/solar power system about twice the size of what the girls put in. With a degree in system engineering, that was pretty easy for me. Just time consuming and I needed a few extra hands. Waking up to the views and clean air makes it still feel like a dream. Be blessed. TJ & Loki 🐾
@@tjmoss2832 Sounds like heaven. Especially once you get your horses. I grew up in Phoenix. My favorite escape the heat trip is hitting Flagstaff, hanging out for a while, then heading down Oak Creak Canyon before the sun goes down, taking in Oak Creek views, heading for dinner, then Oak Creek Brewery, then my hotel room. I never tire of this trip. Arizona has so many varying terrains, so finding new mountain bike spots is always a treat. Sedona really is a special place, the energy is very rich and unique. To be honest, I am glad property is out of reach for most people, price wise, as it keeps Sedona from growing, which would ruin it. Slide Rock has lost it's appeal since going full on touristy spot. Anyway, nice to chat up someone that is fortunate to live there and obviously appreciates all it has to offer.
I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again. You two are an inspiration and I love you, your channel, and your message. It thrills me that you’ve made such a success of being together, and living as you choose. I pray that your journey continues to be ever more joyous and inspirational.
You guys are adorable. I love the journey of off grid living. Way to go girl power. I have suggestion about a pool. Look into the natural, organic pool landscape. It's gorgeous, zen, no chlorine, and would blend amazing into your property.
Love you guys and love having you guys part of my Sunday routine! I know yall didn't ask, but it looks like your Monstera needs more humidity. This could be what's causing the browning on the edges of the leaves. If you put a tray with some rocks and put a little bit of water in it, then place the Monstera on top. This will provide the additional humidity it needs during winter time. Hope you have a wonderful week!
Thank you so much for sharing with us, we appreciate your knowledge and experience. Please keep sharing with us. We are honoured to have you in our pack.💛🐾
I had the most amazing dad in the world and even having him in my life for 38 years it was still devastating when I lost him. I’m now almost 67 and there’s not a day that passes when I don’t think about him. As time passes you do start to forget what their voices sounded like etc. I’m Just thankful my dad had taken so many videos with us it allows me to kinda refresh my memories. It just brought tears to my eyes to hear that you both had lost your dads so young. It’s evident that you both were raised my incredible loving moms. Hugs & Love to you both and the puppers of course.
I thought I knew you both pretty well.. I've been following you girls for years. Like so many. This week's video made me feel like we are truly friends. That's sounds weird. But the transparency is everything. Mad love to you both..also big squeezes to Bella and Izzy!💚💚💚
Good morning Christina, first thank you for being a loyal community member from the beginning. We feel like our community are truly are friends. Sending big mad love back to you from the pack! Bella and Izzy sending puppy squeezes back too! 💛🐶
Thanks for sharing parts of your life, it’s so important for us to be seen as normal. My wife and I grew up in a time where we kept our private lives private and we feared having kids. However, 21 years ago we had our son and I can tell you it was the most important and fulfilling things we ever did!! This year we celebrate 32 years together and 10 years married and although we had a 22 year engagement, getting married changed things and I’m so glad we did it!! Sending ❤ from San Antonio, TX, if you’re ever this side of the border and you find yourself in TX come on by!
I am a retired man who is disabled and almost totally blind , but I love watching u tube builds and some travels. There are several I love watching and it just so happens that you two ladies are amongst them .Its not only what you do it's how you do it ,explain it always with enthusiasm and not in a drone like voice .And you are much like a married couple in the UK called Camper Vibe Emily and Louise she doesn't like taking her hat off ,and they tell their life story like you two and yes the have laughs just like you two and I really appreciate my Sundays with you two couples andmore but what I wanted to say is keep up the good work and I'm sure what ever the next project is be it a pool or what ever I'll enjoy watching .You might like camper vibe too .Thankyou for another Sunday treat
Thank you for sharing with us Frank. We love to hear from our UA-cam family. Always cool to follower other you tubers, we will look them up. So we wish you a happy day. See you next Sunday.💛🐾

I've only been watching for about a year, maybe less and your videos have really helped me. It's so nice to see you doing your own thing in life and it inspires me to get to my own version of that. You're just two wonderful people! Also have you recorded any black bears around the house? That would be cool to see!
Thank you Don, we appreciate. You sharing with us. No black bears recorded yet. We are hoping to record one on the camera early Spring. When we do, we will share it of course with all of you. 💛🐾
Did you know... onlyfans was originally meant to be like patreon and was a place for "normal" (not pornographic) videos- and then they didn't restrict the spicy content and it turned very quickly into mostly spicy content? The more ya know 😉
I think you have the market cornered on how to do a Q&A. You have the innate ability to hold an audience with your every word and unique mannerisms. The shotgun video style is something your now own. Keep it up. Your spontaneous postings on Facebook, Instagram, and Patreon are always a breath of fresh air. You girls are the best....almost like family.
Crystal complains about Jazzy’s eating behaviour then proceeds to tell us what she loves about her - in the meantime Jazzy starts eating with an open mouth 😂 made my day 😂
Another creative video from you two. Highlights: honesty, different segments, review snippets. I missed Bella and Izzy, but there was enough footage. Loved the photo of momager. I am a “motherless child” due to my mother’s mental illness. She was out of my life when I was 10 and I lived in institutions until I was 15. My dad brought us all back together-6 in all- and we basically raised ourselves and each other. Disenfranchised grief is real and waves came throughout my life. I reconnected with my mother when I had children of my own and they brought joy to her. Thanks for sharing at your comfort level and continue to nurture and strengthen your boundaries. Hugs. Oh, I love the name of your podcast.
Totally relatable. I lost my dad at 10. He was my best friend. We (my family) never talk about it. It's just not something my generation talked about. It was 55 years ago and I still miss him terribly. Keep talking about it. It keeps their memory alive and it's cathartic. As always, thanks for sharing.
I'm amazed every Sunday that the 2 of you can put together such great content. The editing, the camera angles/views just blow me away. You ladies provide honest and hard working content. Thank you for sharing your life with us!
Loosing a parent at any age is hard. I lost my Mom 19 years ago and my Dad 8 years ago and it has changed my life. I was surprised that you did not mention Tyler and Todd as one of your favourite UA-camrs😮. As a Nova Scotia ex-pat I think you two fit in perfectly! Sending you much love!

This was a lovely gift from you to your subscribers! You asked if it satisfied our curiosity. For me, yes. I’ve been watching you since the channel began. Along the line you have answer many of the questions but today was in much more detail and context. Also, the new ground of cabin life was very interesting and I thank you for those in depth answers. Musings: I’m happy that you talked about your editor. Most of the great channels I watch have editors. That is not to take away from the creators who do it all themselves. It is more to say that, for you two, having an editor frees you to keep making excellent content. Also, this video illustrates the beautiful dynamic, the love and the trust between the two of you. Not so much in words, but the visual representation of those human components.
Thanks for addressing all these questions -- thanks especially for the personal information: family and relationship. Thanks for telling us that you show us the bad times as well as the good: I'm amazed that there are so few bad times. Hope you get the supplies and professional help you need to get the solar panel connections completed!

To the person reading this, even though I don't know you. I wish you the best of what life has to offer 🙏 🤗 ❤️
Right back at you!❤
@@JenniferHayesJVG ❤️👍
Much love ❤️ and prayers to you and yours
@@emarteliz ❤️🙏
Thank you
Cried watching this, then cried again reading the comments. Very well done. Not easy putting your lives out there for all to see. Both of you are amazing and authentic and I thank you for being a shinning light in this world. 🥰
Wonderful comment
Yes, many of the comments are very touching. More so than in any episode I have viewed.
Gals! How did you just make a Q&A this fun?! Counting down the days until the podcast!!!!
Just wanna give you both a big hug 🧡🧡🧡 happy sunday
We need a video from both of you lol!
Love you two!!!❤
Thanks for being a kind human Friend Obilo 💛 we love you xx
I teared up so much watching this ! Hearing more about you both and seeing a more vulnerable side was terrific. You are my role models and thank you for letting us all experience your journey with you. ❤
Yay! So much fun. LOVE that you’re building a team to support your work and in turn, support the life you want to live.!!
Thank you so much Colleen, sure means so much to both of us to have our communities support. We are happy you enjoyed the QnA. 💛🐾
I love you both so much. I lost my dad when I was 20 and a year later lost my mom. My whole family became me alone. I think at 70 I did a good job raising me. Take care my buddies
Oh Rennie, so difficult to loose both your mother and your father. We are sending love and hugs to you.🤗💛
I LOL'd at that (I did a good job raising me), not in a bad way.
@@tjmoss2832 I've been to Sedona only twice, and it is so Amazing and Beautiful, and Extremely Expensive, but it did feel like Something Special, it was in March, or maybe February before it was HOT. . Loki, what a Great name, May the Spirit Bless you
@Lori L. Mangold Thank you 😊
Loki is the Norse God of mischief,
and he completely fits his name.
Thanks for answering everyone 🍃✨🙏🌷🙏✨🍃I appreciate that you work so hard and you make it look effortless 🦮🦮
It’s been such a treat to watch you both grow, learn and adapt from van life to off-grid cabin life. Lots of love and respect to you both.
Thank you so much for sticking with us! Love our community- you’re great 💛
I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again.
Just thankful my dad had taken so many videos with us it allows me to kinda refresh my memories. It just brought tears to my eyes to hear that you both had lost your dads so young. It’s evident that you both were raised my incredible loving moms. Hugs & Love to you both and the puppers of course.
I lost my dad when I was 16. I love and miss him every day. Thank you for sharing your lives with all of us. Looking forward to next Sunday .
Sending love and hugs to you Jeff.
Thank you for opening up and sharing with us, about your dad. 💛💛
You guys are so in tune that the rest of us cannot help loving you. You give us so much. The biggest thank you from the rest of the world!
Wow Tim, those are big compliments. We are so happy to have you as a member of our pack.💛🐾
My Sunday is complete! I LOVE watching your wonderful videos - you do a really fabulous job. Inspiring and hard working women, thank you. 🐾💙🐾
Ok, I have to say I so enjoyed this awesome video. Young woman like you are role models for others. I have told my daughter about you both and she loves your videos as much as I do. Being content creators is very hard and sometimes other YT'ers just quit. both you are both here living your dreams and taking us for the ride. Keep up the great work. Hello from Orangeville Ontario!
Wow thank you for all your beautiful kindness with your comments. We are so happy you are coming along for the ride. So happy to have you in our community. Orangeville is beautiful. Sending love to Orangeville. 💛🐾
Thank you for answering these questions so honestly and letting us learn a little bit more about you as people and you tubers. Since I began watching you I have enjoyed the enthusiasm with which you tackle life off grid. You are an amazing couple who not only are team but you both have personalities that work well together. Keep being you and never change. Can't wait to see what the future brings for you both. 🏳️🌈❤️🏳️🌈❤️🏳️🌈
I lost my dad at age 21, mom passed when I was 29... Even tho I was adult, I Still Feel Orphaned😭 Especially being a single mom of 4 sons- THAT Really made me miss them even more...
Sending Love & Peace , from the Catskill Mtns of NY! Enjoy this gorgeous morning
I ❤️ Sundays!🌈🌄♀️💜🐕🌟♀️🌈
Ladies the generators should be level when you run them, you could starve the engine of oil if they are not…please correct 😊
Craig!!! This is soooo sweet 💛💛💛
Crystal complains about Jazzy’s eating behaviour then proceeds to tell us what she loves about her - in the meantime Jazzy starts eating with an open mouth 😂 made my day 😂
Some habits are hard to break.😂😂 see you Sunday. xx
Kathi! Thank you for opening up and sharing with us. We absolutely adore you- such strength 💛 Lots of love from the four of us to your pack!
Keep being real girls! I don’t know if you realize how happy you make this 57 year old lady. Love watching you two!
Hi girls, love your vlogs . They are one of the best on UA-cam.
Wow Margaret, that is a big compliment. Thank you for being part of our pack.💛🐾
I totally agree!
the silence when they said if they would make an onlyfans 😧
I'm amazed every Sunday that the 2 of you can put together such great content. The editing, the camera angles/views just blow me away. You ladies provide honest and hard working content. Thank you for sharing your life with us!
Was kinda hoping you would mention and thank Porter having watched him do so much for you both
Loosing a parent at any age is hard.
Yes!Tyler and Todd are awesome and if you haven't heard of them you should definately look them up.every Sunday I watch Vanwives and Tyler and Todd !it has become a Sunday ritual! 😀😃🌈🌈🌈
Musings:
I’m happy that you talked about your editor.
I wasn't interested in watching this...but the Vanwives don't disappoint. Great job ladies this was well done and interesting. Live free and happy together, good for you 🙂
We are happy you decided to watch Marauder . Thanks for the kudos. See you Sunday.💛🐾
My husband passed away in 2019 and our son was only 11...its all of the things left undone, the words left unspoken that he struggles with.
Just tell him his Dad is right next to him in spirit...loving him always.
Love you all! Thank you for your inspiration!!!! I lost my Dad at a young age so that resonates with me gf's!!!! Also, I am very supportive, as I am an ally! Love you all!!!! The word "consistency" is the key!!!! You got it right!
I dont say this enough. You two are great! I truely enjoy your channel. Thank you.
Well thank you Sam for sharing your kind words. We are happy to have you in our pack.💛🐾
I freaking love you guys! What a good little Q&A how cute and you guys answer the questions so real and genuine and that shows through you guys I love it❤❤
You both are precious.
Don't loose your privacy.
Maintain sophistication.
Please continue.
The ultimate duo. Love watching you guys every week and letting us see more into your lives. It feels like we’ve been friends for years 😂 y’all are the best 💕
I cannot say this loud enough or enough times…you two are BAD ASSES! I watch your videos and I am always left in awe at how you push forward and just do it. Always be proud of you and what you have accomplished.
Thank you 🙏🏼 this video was charged up. We love your creation and growth here on this platform ❤
You plan to build a second bathroom in the garage....one more time. wink wink. For that one guest you don't like very much, tell them sorry, you are going into the garage and sleeping on the floor. Shrug. :)
Man there are some skeezy people out there. I'm sorry you ladies get that kind of question.
Get married, don't get married - just be in love. I can't imagine being alone.
To Jazzy and Crystal!
Your bravery and tenacity are inspiring to me! And as a father of 2 daughters, one of which identifies as bisexual and one that identifies as asexual, you sharing your identities is truly awesome! I love watching your videos each week and can’t wait to see what next week will bring ❤
You gals are so great. I only lost my dad a month ago, and navigating life w/o him is a challenge. You are an inspiration to all! xo
I didn't know I needed to know any of the answers to these questions, but thank you for opening up and doing it. Love watching all of your build projects!
What will happen if UA-cam stops people from uploading videos?
Social media platforms will not always be around.
Well, you both turned out to be wonderful human beings despite your hardships growing up 💖
Amazing Video i enjoy very cool Love it you are so pretty beautiful stunning Queens cool . Love our Videos. Rescue my day looking forward all day Love ❤️ hugs for you two looking forward all day. Fav UA-camr. I Wish all The best . Love greetings from Germany. I Hope / Wish meet You
Aww thank you Dominik, for your kind words. Thank you for tuning in 💛
Well, I know one thing .. I look forward to every Sunday so that I can live vicariously through another Vanwives episode! I just love you girls! 💕🕊️

I freaking love you girls! This was an amazingly great awesome video lol loved getting to know you more! I lost my mom when I was 14 and she was 49 so I know how difficult living without a parent is. I am 32 now. I cannot wait for your podcast!!!! Ahhhh!
