As a 4c coupe owner, one of the reasons I got this car over let's say Cayman, or TT is that the other options keeps getting replaced with newer and in most cases better models. 4c is the last of its kind, the one and only, rare, timeless
I think the 4c will eventually go up a lot in value, one of the reasons would be how rare it is. It will definitely be a desirable collector car in the future in my opinion.
We also have a 4c spider, it’s now in the racing collars of the alfa f1 racing team and chipt to 300 hp. My best memory with this car is driving it trough the Swiss mountains, thats where the car is maid for. The brake and shift down for a hairpin corner, get on the power when you get out( sometimes with a snap of oversteer) and make a sprit to the next hairpin and do it all over again. Driving fast on roads with lots of turns is just the best car fun there is.
Great review, love my 4c spider, have had it over two years toured northern Spain and Portugal in it in 2019, done 25k miles in it and never missed a beat. A fun great car that never fails to attract interest and put a massive grin on your face.

The original version of that engine was put into the 159 in it's last two years of production. As a result, 159's with that engine are very sought after and sell for very good prices. I have the 2010 2.0 diesel SW 159 ti which I am glad to say is a car that is next on the desirability list - despite having had the 159 for 3 years, I would be able to sell it for more than I paid for it in the first place - not that I will ever do so!

@@iMANTlS warranty law protects you a little bit. Warranty will only be voided for modified parts, not the entire car, and most dealers will slap on part for you. Source: I worked in the car business from sales to finance for many years.

I'd like to have a 4C, bot too expansive for me. So to get sensations i have my old 3.2 GTV. It has the same power but so much heavier. BUT very cheaper

@@coolab0679 Yes, in general is a super rare model (also 1.8/2.0 Twin Spark). Mine is black with "Rosso Jerez" interior (leather). I've wood steering wheel and gear knob too. I've not teledials, but five races 225/45/17. Mine is completely original as aestetics but I've some upgrade in terms of performance (like Q2 diff, supersprint exhaust, 330mm GTA brake ecc ecc).
I soooo much wanted to love the 4C as a life-long Alfista - took one out for an enthusiastic test drive and, frankly, hated it. Yes, I know you can tune up the steering and suspension so that it works better but the car is just a deeply-flawed gem - especially on British B-roads.
If u want to buy this car for daily driving, DON'T! It has a purpose to be special occasion every time you drive it. It must be 2-3 car to the garage to really enjoy it! Its a "budget" supercar! SUPERCARS ARE NOT DRIVEN EVERY DAY!

Where on earth did you get the idea that the C8 was cheaper!?!? $60k from factory and they're all sold out, have a look at the prices right now, all over 100k. And my friend, the aesthetics are subjective, but the 4C is arguable the greatest looking car of the modern generation. The C8 is amazing in terms of looks don't get me wrong, but living in Atlanta I see them consistently every day driving around, as well as a couple 4C's here and there, and every single time I am struck by the 4C. There isn't an argument about how the cars look in my opinion, the Italian curved lines are always going to win over American geometric lines. This is art logic, we like flow more than lines, that's why Ferrari's look so much better than Lamborghini's, the flowing, more natural lines catch our eyes much harder than brutal geometric lines.
to add to that, if space is a concern for you, the 4C is not made for you. 4C's are made with passion, with passion requires sacrifice, what are you giving up just so you can drive this car? With the 4C you give up all practicality for a pure, raw, driving experience, the C8 has practicality written all over, there's no passion or emotion in the C8, it's a fantastic machine, but that is what it is, just a machine. The 4C is so much more.

100th Like No, the little 4C is the WORST sub-40k sports car I could elaborate....carbon tub fasteners need continual maintenance, Alfa experts job only, start throwing all your pounds at them...I can continue...Multiple electrical gremlins, limp mode, not even Alfa experts know why...needs a regular TIMING BELT change, have to drop the engine out for that small regular maintenance job..and chances of the car stopping on you, when you are out in the middle of nowhere, 100 per cent! Obviously you had a bad one. I've owned mine for nearly 4 years with many track miles as I use mine as a trackday and sprint car. I can understand on the public road they are not great but do have a certain character that no other car gives. With some minor tweaks, the car is a track monster and will dispose of many race cars. I have the trophies to prove it. Running costs are no more than my previous Lotus or 911. Timing belt is every 5 years so very reasonable. Reliability is reasonable too. Only a couple of minor electrical issues with the gearbox and a pair of front wishbones. I can't think of a more exciting car for similar money.
Changing the timing belt doesn’t require bringing down the engine. To change the timing belt, remove the passenger side rear quarter panel. It exposes the cam cover. Use the Alfa cam lock tool and that’s it. Replace belt and check if water pump leaks. The bolt tightening job is only $700 and is required every 12,000 miles. No electrical gremlins on mine but if it start making electrical issues, car doesn’t have a lot of electronics, it’s the battery. It doesn’t like the battery going below its threshold.
