Jerry & Donna..... You guy's are the best. Your RLAP instructional training course is 2nd to none! Thank you so much for what you do. If only you had a location here in Southern Ontario. I need your help. I'm trying I am but have a long way to go to conquer my "lean-o-phobia". Thanks so much for the videos... I watch almost daily.
Thank you Jay! We've tried expanding into Canada, it was a red-tape nightmare...so, come South to Florida and we'll be here ready to train you! We do have locations in the Northeast, RLAP New England...check out our training locations tab from our website's home page, www.ridelikeapro.com Have a great night!
Every time I watch one of your videos, it reminds me of our monthly motor training days. You are much kinder to your students than we were to each other. It brings back so many good memories. Great job as always!
I think that state should require this exact training, say 3 days 2 hrs each total 6-8 hrs. prior to getting a permit. There would be much less accidents. Thank you sir for your time and training. You just got a new sub
This is good stuff. These riding techniques are extremely helpful. Looking forward to setting some of these up and practicing . Both videos were really good at teaching these slow speed maneuvers
It looks like great training! Trust me I can't follow a course and I get lost in the details. Glad you were ok with the guy making his own course. I'm looking forward to taking your class in January.
When Jerry talks in his sleep, it's " Turn Your Head!!" Could be the 3 most important word in a motorcyclist's vocabulary. 👍 You should sell tee shirts with that on it.
Took the course in Louisville Ky in July 2019 best course one could take everyone WILL benefit from it. Can’t wait to take it again with my two sons. Worth every penny.
Excellent videos, I’ve definitely learned a lot from your videos on UA-cam. You’re a great teacher with lots of patience which is hard to find these days. Going to go find me an empty parking lot and practice practice practice! Thank you!!!
Cleveland? Yea, I'm looking to buy a summer villa in Cleveland...I'm messin with ya. If you go to ridelikeapro.com and click on training locations, you can find the RLAP school nearest you.
Same here! Thank you for being so quick on the order I can’t wait to get the DVDs in! We just got back from a two hour ride up in the mountains hope you guys have a great night thank you!
You can take my class. We don't discriminate against New Yorker's. New Jerseyiets yes, but not New Yorkers. Seriously though, when the weather is at it's worst in N.Y. winter, hop on a plane to Tampa, rent a bike from Tampa Harley, and take my class while your family spends money in Disney world or Bush Gardens.
@@motorman857 Damn! I can't believe you made me click on that! Seriously though, I see you have a course in Massachusetts,my question is what happens if you don't pass the test for the licence, do you pay the full price all over again? Thanks.
@@skylark4901 The Ride Like a Pro class is an advanced class. There is no pass or fail. You must have a motorcycle license to take this class. The Massachusetts location has a separate school to get your license. For info on that class, you must contact them.
I love the fact of you'll scrap on a cruiser well before you run out of traction. Does this apply in the rain? I understand that this wont apply it breaking in turn. I mean just riding in corner like courses teach.
In the rain, you have about 80% of the traction you'd have on dry pavement. Does that mean you should push your lean limits to the max in the rain? I wouldn't.
I wonder how this works with extended front e I wonder if this woul I wonder how this would work with a bike with extended forks like a Breakout? Would it be more difficult for a Breakout? It would seem you would have to use a wider turn with extended forks. Does anyone know the answer? I would Really appreciate your comments and any tips.
I used my son's Breakout in my video, Shortcuts to Riding Like a Pro. The bike is capable of making 18' turns, the key is, is the rider capable? This is why training is so important.
If you're planning on competing in gymkhana, and you're on that type of bike, use that method. If you want to be in control of your bike at low speeds use the rear brake and friction zone.
Hey Jerry, I've noticed after watching a lot of your vids that when you yell at someone mid exercise 9 out of 10 times the person messes up further and it breaks their concentration. It might be better if you critiqued them after they complete the exercise so that doesnt happen. Not trying to tell you how to do your job, obviously you do it well, just speaking from the point of view of someone learning. I notice I do better and fix my mistakes quicker if someone tells me what I did wrong rather than yelling directions at me while Im trying to concentrate on the instructions given to me/ Really enjoy the videos a lot!
In my 21 years of instructing I've found that telling them to turn their head a second before they need to turn their head, works better than telling them later. Most times, I do both. Telling them at the very moment and then re-enforcing after has worked for my students. I don't video every moment of the class so your not seeing the entire picture.
Ride Like a Pro Jerry Palladino I love being critiqued, and yelled at. Whether at a dance class, or motorcycle instruction that means the teacher is watching you. 😊 Jerry, I hope one day you will yell at me too.
The ad at the start of the video is too damn long and you can’t skip it. If you continue to have this type of ad before your videos, I’m done. It’s still babbling on as I type. Crazy.
I don't put any ads on my videos. That's youtube. I have no control of what they do. But you should google ad blocker. Ad blocker eliminates all of them.

Is he teaching you to bake brake on full turns or clutch
It’s a combo of brake and clutch.

I would like to see a close up of their feet to see how their using the rear brake or when and to let off.
Bring the course to Dallas/Fort Worth
Go to ridelikeapro.com and click on training locations. We have a school in TX. and they do travel around the state.
Lol, honestly I don't fear the u turn itself. The anxiety comes when there are others watching me. I hate that.

Hi Jerry. I just watched an English Motorgymkhana vid and they say throttle and rear brake. NO clutch. I am so confused
If you're planning on competing in gymkhana, and you're on that type of bike, use that method. If you want to be in control of your bike at low speeds use the rear brake and friction zone.
Is 46 to old to learn?
Hell no. I was 43 when I went to Motor Officer school and I'm still getting better.
