Hi Deb. I found some of your videos and I just wanted to say that it's really cool that a lady is into playing music & recording. I've been doing music most of my life and I've been into recording my own music since I got my first multitrack recorder back in the middle '90s. I think it's cool that you're into not only playing your own music but doing home recording as well. Like you, I've got all kinds of sound equipment. I used to play and make a living playing in bands since the early '70s so I guess you could say I've been doing music for almost 50 years. I used to play at nursing homes and that ended up being my main source of making a living for about 22 years. I recorded my own background on whatever multitrack recorder I was using, (I've owned at least 5 of them) and I would then take my recordings along with a small sound system to the nursing homes and play my music and sing along to it.
Now I'm retired and am doing home recording for just the fun of it. I play the drums, guitar and bass guitar so I can record all my own tracks.
Anyway, I've rambled on long enough. I was just wondering which of your recorders you like the best. I decided to try out the Zoom recorders. I recently bought the Zoom r20, although I needed to take it in to have it repaired. I also ordered the Zoom r16. I like those type of recorders because they're light and don't take up too much room. Well, good luck on your music and hope to hear from you.
    Mike Lozano.

I really like ZOOM equipment. I’ve had the R16 for many years. I’ve recently purchased the ZOOM LIVETRAK L8 and I’m enjoying it as well. I have enjoyed playing the nursing homes for a long time. After Covid I’ve taken to stay at home with the videos and recording.

Nice. I have that same mixer (L-8) for my podcast. Never thought of running the Trio PLus through it to record. Thanks!

Have you tried using the mixer going into the Trio+ so you can run mics and other instruments thru the mixer to the Trio+

That would be like running a Bose STEREO through an AM transistor radio. You would crunch all the sound. Not good.

I don’t have the Trio yet but do have the NUX core deluxe looper and I recently set it up with my mixer like you demonstrated and found it to work much better. Thanks for your video

I use my mixer exactly the way Deb describes. More to manage of the output of the Trio to create the audio on an ipad video when recording a live performance. However if your computer has DAW and an audio interface, you can use the output of th audio interface nto the guitar input of the Trio. This allows you send keyboard, synth, voice, etc...to record looper parts to the Trio. I've even used this method to teach the Trio Drum and bass parts. It works really well.

Deb…How do you connect say a Boss Katana guitar amp in the mix.
    Thanks

dont have any experience with the Katana guitar amp. Just remember INPUT OF ONE DEVICE GOES TO OUTPUT OF ANOTHER
OUPUT OF ONE DEVICE GOES TO INPUT OF ANOTHER
      and you should be set.

The LiveTrak mixers were created with the podcaster in mind. I haven’t used it, but one of the features is the ability to take calls and record.

Great video thank you. Could you please advise if I can record from the trio into an audio interface as well such as an SSL 2 or focusrite? A Big Thanks 😊

Focusrite yes, not familiar with ssl but if you have inputs it should work. Run the outputs of the trio to the inputs of whatever your using.

Couldn't comment on your Presonus StudioLive AR16c review! Have you tried the Behringer X32/X32 Compact? I had the pleasure of owning the X32 Compact and it was utterly amazing. No issues whatsoever with anything tbh! If you haven't, give one a go 👌👍🙏

I’ve actually gotten a few since the videos on AR16. I do love Behringer, best quality for the money. I always have an analog Behringer because I love the effects. I ended up with a Zoom LIVETRAK.
