  • Had a request for this and found there was very little out there in the way of help. Hope this works for you guys!!!
    Thanks for watching. If you appreciate what i do. Please click on an AD every now and then. I know its a pain and it'll never make me rich but it may make me enough coppers to buy better equipment. Which, in turn, will hopefully improve the quality of the videos that i can produce for you guys. Thanks again. Stevoguitar

    The song that got me into The Smith's many moons ago. Thank you I am going to try and learn it. Still struggling with Heaven knows I'm miserable now, but you are a great teacher so I'll get there eventually. Well done.

      Well spotted willie, its a 93 or 94 and was set up perfect when i got it. Problem was that i had to fiddle with it and now it doesn't sound quite as good!!!😝

      I’ve done the same with my guitar! Everyone says it’s easy to do your own setups but...
      Btw, great lesson and I’ve watched a bunch of of your Jam lessons and they were also very helpful!

    Great lesson, thanks for posting! What effects and settings are you using?

    • @StevoGuitar
      @StevoGuitar  5 років тому +1

      Thanks Brad. I used: comp - lev 1/2- sus 3/4- att low chorus - speed 1/4 - depth 1/2. I had some delay and some reverb on the amp but unfortunately dont know the settings sry...Just enough for the chords to ring a bit longer.

  • @davidsutherland2572
    @davidsutherland2572 5 років тому

    Instead of going to dsus2 in the intro I think Johnny goes to 2nd inversion c major triad being open g open e fret one of b with the first finger

    • @StevoGuitar
      @StevoGuitar  5 років тому

      Now that IS a lot hard to play. but .....Not too much difference in sound imho

    Is that how the chords are played on the 12 gauge man (12 string) as I have something different for the electric

    • @StevoGuitar
      @StevoGuitar  5 років тому

      There seems to be be very little footage of them playing this live. Johnny tends to play a sort of single note solo for the intro then the second part as the verse. The 12 string that i have heard of but not seen would basically play part 3 as rhythm guitar i would assume. With johnny coming in on that Am7 + pinkie with the elec guitar. Anyway this is just a way of playing it but you do really need 2 guitars. Doesn't sound so full with just one.
