    Thanks for saving me the bother! The only time I've been down that way was when we did a workshop for people from mahama refugee camp. But I don't feel like I have missed out by not getting down to Rusumo.

      Yeah, it's a shame. It could be a really interesting spot. It would be cool to see inside the hydroelectric dam and how that works, and to have a viewing platform right down by the fall that you could get to without having to do the whole border crossing thing. But as it is, not missing much.

    9:15 Actually the very place name, ruSUMo, means waterfall. From the verb “guSUMa” which means to make a loud noise such as the one a waterfall typically produces. Pron /guSUUMa/
    You could say “ku masumo”, meaning “at the waterfall”.
