Thank you for your extremely informative videos!! I am travelling to Kigali for a month long holiday and your advice (especially about the virus) has been super helpful and appreciated. Thank you!!
Hey, I commented on your last video. I have since come back from our trip to Rwanda on October 23rd. We live in the USA. I wanted to add that if you are traveling to the United States from Rwanda there are extra measures when coming back into the country. As of October 14th you're only allowed to fly into one of three airports which are Chicago New York and Washington DC. After you go through customs and show your passport and let them know you came from Rwanda then you have to go to a separate area for a screening which is just a short questionnaire and they take your temperature. Luckily our incoming flight was going into Chicago anyways. Unfortunately my in-laws were supposed to be flying into Dallas so they had to get their flights changed which was a huge pain. There was also little information from the airlines when trying to figure out what we needed to do. Hopefully those precautions will be lifted soon since it seems to be getting under control.
@writerinrwanda yes we did havea good time. It is such a beautiful country. My in laws lived there for 7 years and know their way around luckily. We went into some of the villages to visit some of the churches and schools we have been helping and brought stuff to give to them. We also visited Akagera park too. I hope to get to go back when the kids are older so we can do a Gorilla trek and see the memorial in Kigali.
Thanks for the update... I am an engineer from( INDIA).Recently i got job in Rwanda, But unfortunately this outbreak is very disappointed me... I am waiting... 😢
I think it's fine. The infection rate is very low. It appears the first case was a miner in a cave with bats. Stay away from mines, bats, and hospitals with active cases and I think the risk is extremely small.
Thanks for update
This is so informative - thanks for always being a voice of reason 🙏🙏🙏
