The only reason that I am keen about this pre-order policy is because it lets you choose what pre-order incentives you are going to receive about release. With that being said, I understand why people are opposed to it and why it hurts the consumer in the long-run.
I just want to add that Deus Ex Mankind Divided is really a retelling of Invisible War. The plot with the Illuminati, The hologram newscaster, even the opening cutscene is an upgraded Invisible War opening cutscene. Not to mention rummaging through people’s Apts is identical to Invisible War minus going through trash cans cause they just throwables in Mankind Divided.
TB has been gone a long time but he go it, I'm from his era of gaming, a lot of people from PS3 onwards only know this way of marketing games. I have not nor ever will preorder a game, I won't buy one until the proper reviews have been out. We the consumer damaged gaming by allowing this. The publisher does not care about the game only the profit margin, until people realise this we will be fed substandard games at premium price.
