- Huawei Mate 8 Tips & Tricks www.mobilegeeks.com The Huawei Mate 8 is a beast of a phone, it features a 6-inch Full HD screen, an octa-core 2.3GHz Kirin 950 64-bit processor, 3GB of RAM, a massive 4000mAh battery. If you've never used a Huawei device before it's running a modified version of Android 6.0 called EMUI 4.0. It is the style of operating system that doesn't have an app drawer, which usually isn't something that I like. I find it hard to find apps if there isn't a location where they all appear in an alphabetical order. But Huawei has got a few tricks up their sleeve and I'm going to show you my favorites!

0:18 WHAT, nobody else unboxing or reviewing this phone on the entirety of youtube EVER mentioned this little feature.
Well, that pretty much eliminates any "downvotes" about it not having an app drawer then, because this is essentially it.
(and since its android, ofc you can just download one, but you get my point).

how about a tip for installing apps to sd??
Is anyone having this issue with OK Google? When I turned it on, some problems occurred. It seems it crosses with other programs like Whatsapp or screen recording and a warning pops up telling me that this program may not work because of some sort of overlay. Is anyone getting the same issue?

Good video, thanks. One question - is there an option to hide the navigation bar? The Mate 7 had this option, you could add a small "hide-show" to the nav bar, so you can hide it for example when using the floating dock. (?)
+Jacek Warchol that option has been removed, the toggle that was on the Mate 7 isn't in the same settings section of the mate 8. When I turn floating dock on there is no option to hide the navigation bar...which is a shame.

Those are some pretty nifty features that stock Android should adopt--some, not all. Nicole, I know you love EMUI, but to me, it just looks odd with no app tray and folders just add clutter and look iOS-ish. Yes, a launcher could be added, but the typical android user probably aren't aware of that. Plus, IMO, the knocking feature isn't very intuitive. Anyways, I love Huawei's design and hardware, but their software is somewhat meehh.

Another tips.. you can screenshot a long webpage which you have to scroll down... write S with your knuckle on the webpage... have it a try!

+Im a dog Garcia Same here, I prefer the swipe the screen with your hand to take a screenshot feature with the Note 4 or use the S-Pen to take screenshot function on the Note 4.
