  • Join the Summit 4x4 Club leaders as they tackle Arizona's infamous Smiley Rock Trail. This run was part of an On-The-Trail-Training exercise that gave the club leaders practice with things like spotting, four wheel drive systems, front and rear lockers, sway bar disconnects, and navigation.
The trail had changed a lot since we last ran it and certainly wasn't short of obstacles that challenged our Jeeps. If you're interested in joining us for a trail run, consider visiting and signing up for our MeetUp page. There you'll find dates and times for future runs, can RSVP, chat with others, and learn more about the trails.

I am curious how OnX calls that a moderate trail 5/10 I am in a lifted f250 on 38s and a good amount of skid plate. But was thinking of doing this alone. But not after your video

I think they're also including the available bypasses when rating this trail. If you stick to the wash, it's a decent crawling trip.

Any chance a stock Rubicon unlimited JL can do this?

Yup! We did it in a stock Rubicon JL just this last weekend. Take your time, and there are bypasses around the larger obstacles. The red Rubicon in this video is actually a stock Recon Extreme.
