I live in France and the price has come down under the 400 euros mark. The Viltrox is 600 euros. So there is quite a big difference in price. What I love about the lens is that it is small and very light. Can't say the same for the Viltrox.
yes, it is smaller than Viltrox but .... Viltrox is f1.2.
If you don't need ultra wide aperture, this is a very good choice

Hey, great review of the Samyang lens, n yr lovely images really the lens at its best !! // 1 Q thu; can u change the Aperture on the lens in Photo mode ? // Thks Mate !!
There is no manual aperture ring on the lens, so you can't change it on the lens but you can change it as normal via the camera
I bought it over the Viltrox because of the size and weight, I also recently swapped out my Fuji 16-55 for the smaller lighter Sigma 18-50 and I couldn't be happier. I carry both every day.
Yeah, Viltrox is much heavier and bigger than this.

Same but I do find the bokeh can be rather distracting with some backgrounds. Love the compact form but not the lack of aperture ring

This is now 330€ brand new here in Germany while the Viltrox is 499€. I like the Viltrox for it's build quality and clicked aperture ring, but the 77mm filter thread is a bummer. I don't want such a monstrous lens on my Fuji. So I will likely be going with the Samyang!
yes, Viltrox is bigger but it is also a better lens overall
