Glad to know your back, been looking and wondering. As usual good video. Looks like you got to the root of things. Lol. Thanks for sharing your work with us. And I think everyone would like to know your name.
Thanks for your continuous support 🙏 I do try to post on a schedule but life gets busy sometimes and as soon as I get some free time I'm back at it! My friends and family know me as Donald.
You got to the root of the problem, but man, that's a sad looking pit. There were probably more roots there, but you just couldn't see them. Great job on getting the majority of them out. Have a wonderful weekend!!!
Welcome back!!!!!! That was seriously a lot of roots! I feel like that might continue to be a problem if they don’t do something to get rid of all that!
Comparing your videos to the UK, Australian, and even Korean channels, New York seems to have the worst manhole locations and the flimsiest of wooden boards covering them. You have my respect and sympathy.
The landlord or tenant of the building put those pieces of MDF covering that recess, some people do have strong metallic covers, some people just can't be bothered.
Question. If the toilet isn’t flushing and coming up in the shower how would you know it’s the sewer line or the branch line? Before wasting time snaking the sewer line going inwards thinking there’s a clog in about 15ft or so, what is a good way of knowing where the problem is?
Are there any symptoms in the house before the drain gets into such a state? I would think you would notice slow draining, maybe some odd burping before the final blockage?
Is it just me cos I live in the UK does anyone actually keep the drain area clean or clear..... even in the main house you pull back the cover and roots dirt and rubble, for such an important area its so neglected. 🏴Roo
Pulls roots, part of the wall falls in... that’s not good 🤣 that made my night! Great video!
Lol 😆 thanks again for your support 🙏

@@NYDRAINS glad to know you. Yep life does seem to take over sometimes. As always thanks for sharing your work with us. Nancyjo
I half expected Ollie's kookaburra sound track right after your "that's not good" at 6:02
Thanks for all your videos.
Thanks for watching 👍

Definitely, I did give some recommendations
I thought that was in the swamp you working...all that dirt and roots...wow have a bless and safe weekend
Lol 😆 thanks 👍
It was almost like nature was trying to reclaim that building
🤔👍Imagine if the house was abandoned, trees would have started growing inside! Lol
Great job ,damn a lot of roots
Lol thanks
With all those roots I’m surprised there wasn’t a forest growing somewhere inside the house!
God knows where else those roots are making their path through the foundation!

I bet there are shrooms growing somewhere in that bit. What a state
Looks like no maintenance has been done in that building for years
Lol
Wow those roots will go anywhere to find water. I'm surprised the trap isn't sticking out of the ground further.
Natural is a powerful force!
Thought I was watchin a Tarzan movie - all that vegetation! 😀 Good job as always 👍
Lol 😆 🌳 thanks again 👍
Glad to see you're back. Hope to see more of your good work on some nasty projects. Lol
Definitely more on the way! Thanks for your support 🙏
OMG. That is a big rooty job. I wonder what was living in there 🤭😲😮👍👍👍👍👍👍👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🦎🦎. You do work well 👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿
A lot of bug that's for sure! Thanks again 👍
That was a whole lot of big ass roots.💚💚
Oh definitely 👍
good job, root's root's glourious root's . great video as always......
Thanks again 👍
Greatest job ever respect that truly
Thank you 👍
I have never seen so many inside the house! 👀👀
It's incredible!
Shiny new caps 👍 have you charged extra for gardening? 😀
Not today lol just trying to do a good job for the homeowner.
So it looks like in NY they require two way clean outs on all the houses or are those old school rat/house traps?
Yes it's code.
If this plumbing gig ever goes belly up at least you might have a future in landscaping!
Lol 😆
in the jungle, the concrete jungle, the roots hold on real tight....
Definitely 👍
I'm glad you're able to use the snake, at first I thought this is a job of a jack hammer.
Lol 😆

Every house/clog is different.
Are there any symptoms in the house before the drain gets into such a state? I would think you would notice slow draining, maybe some odd burping before the final blockage?
Yes there are signs but for some reason the sewers are a forgotten place in the basement especially if the homeowner hardly goes down
It is so good to have you back🤗, man that's a lot of roots it's like they have a mind of their own 😆🗽🍎🐀🌽🔨🌱
They definitely know where to get a drink! Thanks for support 🙏
Roots he needs to clean 🧼 good job 👍
Thanks 👍
Wow instead of a drain technician you got to play a gardener today LOL!
Lol
Good lord in the morning
Lol
My first thought about the tire iron was is that a murder weapon ? Why would it be in the hole?
Probably DIY plumbing lol 😆
Is there any ways to kill all root systems that are growing under the foundation???
Not really unless you're Removing all the trees!
The foundation must have holes from all the roots. How old is that house?
About 100 but I think it's more due to neglect
Never seen a tire lug nut wrench in a drain!
Surprisingly I have! Lol guess it's a forgotten extra storage
Enough roots there to grow your own tree with.
Definitely
nothing like plumbing and garnering the same time
Tell me about it 😒🙄 lol
The roots where not inside the drain. You just did a little pruning on the top. I didn't see you take much out of the drain. It was no big deal.
So much battle back of nature...
Lol
if that was my place id clean the area and be puting a board surround up and putting new concrete in
Wish they were all like that! 👍
What's with those gloves?
Bought them like that, provides great protection and grip.
Omg 😳
That's what I said, but more like holy 💩😉
The humans are putting pipes in the ground.....Mother Nature says "Hold my cosmo"
Lol 😆👍
Looks like the person living there needs to give it a good spray with root kill regularly to stop and kill the roots.
I did advise that.
You charged extra for landscaping I hope.
🤔😉👍
Great, another $49.95 for gardening.
Lol 😆👍

It's usually forget about untill the have a problem 😕
I think i'd chuck the strongest bleach down there every month to wipe those out.....
No thumbs up? No "we got it"? 😞
Sorry camera died before I got a chance
Roots and spiders
Bug heaven
You go into some of the most dirtiest, cramped places...
It's part of the job I guess but I occasionally run into some pretty nice clean ones.
Should have planted a garden. Lol I’m sure it will be your fault the roots are there. Lol
Lol
I know it's not your job to clean it out but you should have instructed the homeowner to clean that pit better
I did 👍
